nice jeep. if you fold the hood all the way back and let it rest on the windshield you will have more access and not have to work around the prop rod, thanks for the videos.
There was some drive train noise that we were curious about. We thought maybe we had not trimmed the shaft to the transmission enough and that maybe the shaft of the motor was making contact with it. So we took it all apart and trimmed more off of the transmission shaft.
In retrospect, not sure if that really was an issue, but we just wanted to be sure.
I bet you that you could get more batteries for the battery packs with going into the smaller, lighter, lithium Optima batteries(the tiny ones).
I'd also bet on better mileage because of reduced wait and more quantity.
Your project is also inspiring me to convert my '91 Chevy Suburban into an "EV" but I'll need a lot more money and have to cram batteries into the xtra large engine compartment and where the gas tank used to be. I also want a range like the Tesla Roadster.
Great project. I was staring at my square headlight blue jeep wrangler this morning, which is stripped to the frame. So I thought I would check youtube to see if anyone had done the ev jeep conversion. Thanks.

You are right on both accounts.
Interesting project. Lots of room for batteries, but also a lot of weight.
Not sure what the performance will be, but best of luck and please keep us updated.
