  • great job just straighten legs:)

  • That was good just turn out & cross your feet, try and get higher on your toes, keep that arch the whole way through and when you jumps try not bend bend- keep your carriage straight at all times x

  • let me guess by the steps and a dancer myself ;) in this video she was primary grade :) right ?

  • try not to hit your thigh when you do your double up, i've noticed in my competitions that i've gotten deducted for that, but you are doing great, just watch turn out, try to get higher on your toes, and keep your turns a little tighter ! (we all need to work on this and im a prizewinner almost prelim, and i do too so no worries!)

  • really good just try to point your toes more make sure u dnt flex them, verygd job keep dancin :D

  • Dont bend your kneees, keep them as straight as possible and keep your thighs tight. Then it will look great x

  • hey that was very good i would just work on pointing the toes a little more when she moves across the floor i would make the extensions very sharp and real quick when dancing keep your hands in a fist! but nice job :)

  • very nice! good posture!

  • Hey, wow that was really good for a 9 year old. She needs to pick up her feet a little more, cross and turn out her feet, and point a little harder. But, for a 9 year old, WOW, keep up the good work!

  • she is really good but she was getting ahed of the music she should work on stayinging with the music

  • hey ive been a dancer for 10 years now since i was 5 and almost 6 and im now overseas in a dance academy just wanted to say she is reli good for a 9 year old and considering the space she is in she did well... the music doesnt reli suit the dance all that well she should try dancing it a bit slower. and keep her legs straight but she is brilliant she should keep it up.

  • make sure you keep your toes pointed im an irish dancer i get told that a lot haha :-)

  • shes rly good a fantastic dancer keep it up

  • good job!! :) just make sure you keep your knees together more!! :)

  • it is her sister but i do agree she needs to keep her knees together what levle r u

  • She is very good!

    Keep up the great work!

  • this is the primary slip jig (the second one) x

  • What level is she now?

    :]

  • she now dances intermediate (: x

  • oo she is soo good! nice watching her dance! would just say straighten your legs and point your toes more..you will go far in dancing..good luck !!

  • May I ask in what region you are dancing? This wouldn´t be a beginner slip jig in my region.

  • This dance is a primary dance, however the dancer was only at beginner level and had only just learnt this dance, she had not competed in it at all at this time.

  • what level was she then??

  • she was at beginner level when this was filmed.

  • omg tht is wel crap

  • she had only been dancing for a few months and she was 9 then. that was over a year ago

  • What a good dancer! I would say to straighten your legs more and really let the energy flow all the way past your toes. That will make it look sharper and more energetic

  • That looks good, Sophie. As the other posts point out, just tidy the dance up a bit more and you will really shine. When you do as they have said, you will look much more polished. Enjoy the journey of your wonderful dancing.

  • really good, try to keep your hands closer to your side, a bit back and straight, put them just in front of your but

  • Awe you are so good for your age a couple of things tho watch your feet they are strait cross you legs and knees and thats all i got to say but other then that great

    P.S. kick your bum hunn

  • also just noticed, cross more and turn out

  • How old are you? This is prettygood. When you do your "jump overs" point your toes really hard. whne u kick ur butt, point your toe. what helps me, is when i am practicing i put my hand on my butt, and make sure i kick my hand each time. UR PRETTY GOOD. keep up the work, sophie!! :]

  • Work on lines in the legs, pointing the toes, and control.

  • is she like dead in the beging

  • pretty good. work on keeping your legs lower and making your movements more definite

  • agreed. pretty dance though

  • work on ur posture, dont lean forward and try not to let ur legs fly everywhere

  • how about a better room and not so bright light behind her?

  • Thats a good idea, ill try it, thanks.

  • Pretty good. I'd suggest working on keeping her arms closer to her sides. A good way to work on this is to get a piece of string and hold it behind the back whilst dancing to keep the arms still. Very good though

  • Great leaps!! xx :)

  • cross, turn out, point toes and work on her posture

  • she is in primary for all of her dances except for the hornpipe, she is in intermediate for that.

  • the leg shes pointing her foot with is kinda bent.... try to work on that

  • yeah, oh well, what level is she? she needs to point toes and work on crossover

  • Yep... pointy toes, straight legs and cross-over at all times is what I'd perscribe!

  • she needs to straighten her knees and point her feet. otherwise very good

  • It was okay but she needs to really extend her knees and cross her feet and legs her legs are way to far apart!

  • here are my pointers,, get her to work on her twists so that the feet actually twist, shes doing ok with dancing on the balls of her feet now she should try aim to go higher up on her toes.. Oh yea before i forget, her arms flapped about a lil bit just get her to practice doing her leaps with out moving her arms.. otherwise this is a good dance and she shows lots of potential.

  • she needs to extend her knees a wee bit more when shes dancing, try not to put too much weight on them. Also turnout and crossing ^_^ Espcially at the begining when shes pointing. But she is very good for being only 9 years old

  • she is a lovely dancer but she is sitting (bending) on her knees a little, pull up right on her toes but woo hoo! shes fab!

  • she has very good posture and lift, just needs to work on turning out :)

  • I'd say the biggest thing she needs to work on is pointing her foot any time it comes off of the floor. :)

  • The dancing wasnt out of time it was because it was recorded on mobile
