Just watch Monsanto corn grow... it's a FREAK... of nature. When we have little or no rain during the growing season, my organic heritage corn is dwarfed, while the Monsanto Roundup Corn grows from apparently nothing just at tall and healthy looking as ever. This year, monsanto corn was planted next to my property... my honey bee colonies died out completely... many say the systemic pesticide in Monsanto corn is the reason.. I can't say they are wrong. My empty colonies speak volumes.
@HTCSWEOD what to do, Man kind can not speed the process of growing food. It a long and lengthy process done by nature. I can not wait when nature say's "fuck you" to the world.. LOL, well most likely to the pricks and hypocrites who think they are better..
The most insidious thing about genetically modified seeds is that monsanto owns the right to the seeds even though the modified genes have spread through pollen so that now they own a percentage of all crops. Even if you never bought any seeds from monsanto, if your crop is found to have their modified genetics they will sue you for a percentage of your yield.
@CouldNotCareLes I don't claim to be an expert on the law, but your theory sounds reasonable to me. There are a lot of genes to exploit so this one case is not the end, Monsanto can use their army of attorney's to intimidate, bully , and badger the last of our small farms into oblivion, this whole issue needs to be circumvented by legislation.

@Zyworski too true..

@Zyworski - They could sue only if you utilized the trait.
The only lawsuits ever filed were a result of a farmer applying glyphosate to a crop he grew without paying for the glyphosate tolerant seed.
Otherwise you have not benefited from the technology so the damages would be zero.
