  • another question =)

what about roll movement.. is the potenciometer from joystick too?

  • oh. thanks for the quick reply!

so potenciometers and circuit board are actually in joystick?

  • hi... where did you get potenciometers?

  • Those came from the CH Fighterstick joystick that I dis-assembled for this project.

  • You're like a big kid hiding among grown ups...Great to watch you as you discover new things about your creation..

  • Damn Youtube and its word limits.

    Thanks for the vid, Matt.

  • Ah, so complexity begins to show its ugly face.

Alltough its on an early stage, the rubber bands were not a very elegant solution.

A 50 or 60cm apart (sorry, metrics here) three point triangular mount (2 hard points + Pot) with a solid rubber strip (or tube like) would have kept the setup much simpler and durable.

Then again that probably wasn't your final solution, so lets see what you did then.

    The box should be simple.

A thick base for the mount and thin plywood with stoppers for the walls.

  • Actually, I loved using the rubber bands. The flexibility worked out perfectly. I couldn't use any thing very rigid, because it could have pulled the potentiometer off its mount, or could have pulled the brass rod off. It was also incredibly easy to adjust the tension of the rubber bands.
