@beeyonson I have a Martin DX1AE that sells for a little less than these do and I think they are both great guitars. You really should go to Guitar Center and play them both. I think the Taylors are a bit brighter sounding than the Martins are. Both fine pieces though. Both have laminated back and sides and a spruce top. Taylor electronics are a little better. Good luck...
yo dude im about to buy one but i dont wanna pay like 800 for it where did you buy it used? and where do recomend me to get it bc i also want it to be in good condisions haha was your in good conditions after being used? please reply id really appreciate it :)
@BelowFreezingInc - Yes, you can go to Taylor's website and check out all their models. Just a tip - on Taylor's website, the suggested retail price is $898. I did NOT pay $898. I got mine used ($500 with case), but you can but it new from someone like Guitar Center for about $650.

@BelowFreezingInc actually man that is a more recent addition in the newer models I bought a 110e in the summer of 07 pr 08 and it has no knobs or equalizer whatsoever its just a hidden pickup a 9volt battery and a plug in for your amp cord..still sounds GREAT though, literally sounds exactly like the acoustic unplugged only perfectly amplified :)
very nice sounding guitar. talors are just too expensive for me right now. what did you pay for it? im thinking of getting that GC knock off Mitchell brand guitar. only about 150 or so, but most reviews i've read and seen say its a great sounding inexpensive acoustic. WYT?
I'm not an exper but he just made the harmonic and apply pressure to the body and the neck (in opposite direction one from another). You can do it also, doing the harmonic and press the body and the top of the neck in opposit directions at the same time!
Works best on the twelfth fret (I think) - you kind of hover above the fret marker and move completely away as soon as you pluck it. Not a very good explanation...so look it up or get someone to show you =)
Graham, just curious, how did you make that harmonic sound. what is the technique called. I'd like to know. Thanks

@Mijicm Yes! It's tough to beat this guitar for versatility, play-ability, and durability. Great strummer, too. Literally can't abuse it.

Can you give me some advice on how to get some of the buzz out of mine. Just bought it a few days ago.

@peterpulpitpounder Well, you bought a Taylor and they're known for the bright sound. That being said, I play medium elixirs.

He used natural harmonics.
