Whininess is a personality trait. It has nothing to do with physical beauty. Furthermore, they are ACTORS...and you know what? People get older. Taylor will be 16, then 17, 18 etc. Besides, big age gaps are common on teen soaps/television in general. People are professional about it.

Also, I doubt it was gross for them considering there were alot of rumors that they were involved off-screen too.
