lol, 12 seconds with a 1.0L 3cylinder 3 speed automatic metro is not too shabby. Considering my base 0-60 was nearly 30 seconds, this was a big improvement. That plus I had REAL bad turbo lad from using a turbo off a 2.4L engine on a 1.0, the sucker does not hit 5psi until 3200 and 10psi at near 4000. I will try to upload a video link for you.

I remember when mine was that slow, it ran a 19.3 at the track when i first got it, pretty bad. There is hope for these cars however, with a head/cam package, headers, intake, exhaust, UD pulleys, and a properly running engine these cars could be in the high 17s. Which is much better than 21s. Plus, if you turbo one they are easily 15 second cars, and with enough work 14s.
That's pretty good for a cheap fuel miser. It sounds like the 1.6L DOHC built by toyota on the 3spd automatic. Corolla/Metro were the same car for a while.
As they say, once you get up to 45 you're good to go!

I have a 97 lsi. i thought it was a piece of shit mainley because the rocker arms broke at 99k then when i put junk yard ones in the cheap ass aluminum valve cover broke at 100 inch pounds. but after i got the new valve cover for $15 It gets 34 mpg now. Automatic 1.3.
