Neither Sony or Nintendo was the first to ever use augmented reality games. But Sony did use these types of games BEFORE the DSi and before the 3DS.

XII, XIII, and Versus are all completely different. And the games aren't shoving the same puzzles, the same music, and the same story over and over again like LoZ.

What about Resistance, FF disidia, MGS, Patapon, Kingdom Hearts, Syphon Filter, etc. These are games that i've actually played and enjoyed. To say that only Nintendo makes quality games only show that you're a biased, ignorant fanboy. Sony had Rumble first. It wasn't obvious who THOUGHT of it first, but it came to fruition AND built into controllers by Sony.

@phosphor112 Ah, so history has repeated itself. Nintendo made rumble popular in America so Sony followed suit and added the functionality. Similar to motion controls (not eyetoy, I mean an actual motion controller).

Nintendo thought of it first. They had a patent on it back in 1995, a year before the DAC. Sony didn't use their own tech (unlike Nintendo), they used Immersion's tech and got sued for it.

So, Sony's came to fruition first, but it was thought up by Nintendo.

Lol, you keep telling yourself that Nintendo is the one pushing the industry. Yes, Nintendo was very relevant in the early years, but Sony has pushed the industry, in terms of audience and technology. Even Nintendo has admit that Eyetoy influenced their decision with motion gaming.

Also, though Sony was sued by Immersion, Nintendo was saved by Sony when Immersion went after them. The judge ruled it was prior art IIRC.

My point is that Nintendo has come up with these concepts ahead of the competition. That's groundbreaking creative process.
