It's a nice layout. Some things didn't make sense, like the old steam engine being followed up directly by a modern diesel, and a commercial Amtrak would never pull freight. Other than the minor inconsistencies, it's a nice layout.
Nicely done. The mountainous scenery is great and realistic. One thing I have noticed on many model RRs is a lack of street markings such as lines and RR crossing symbols on the roads. Is this just a simple oversight or just something due to the period being modeled?
I like the layout I love the little passenger car at the end of the one Union Pacific that was hooked to the caboose.Great layout I really enjoyed it.
Looks like some great scenic work and some good weathering too! I love the edited-in sounds of the various train roll-bys, but I gotta ask, @ 2:46 - WTF??
I have a 7.5 by 12 foot HO Layout, and I found out the hard way what happens when you don't glue the scenery down. My 2 BLI units came off the track, and plowed scenery up like a pile of snow.
Man oh man, you are GOOD!!!! excellent job . I am an H.O. model railroader myself with a nice lay-out in my home. I have a question??? Do you have speakers mounted in some of the cars. So when they roll by you hear that realistic rail slap. or is that coming from another off camara sound box. THANX ALOT. Totally enjoyed your video.
Awesome layout. I'm moving back to Colorado pretty soon (God, I miss it.) As a matter of fact Colorado Springs, the outskirts of it near Garden of the Gods. What does it take to join a railroad club? I've only been in the hobby for a short time, so I'm still Green.
Good stuff. Wobbling cars suck... please fix that, and your lighting makes everything, on video, look too yellow, but otherwise incredile work. Nice work!!
Alright, Why don't you come down here and fix my fleet, Im approaching 200 cars. So Lets see someone put the effort in on something that really doesn't bother anyone but you. And If you've watched any of my videos that aren't like 2 years old, ive gotten better.,
@Derailedtrain666 Hey your layout has inspired mine. and trust me, as a teenage model railroader, ive gotten way worse comments then DepletedU has commented, on youtube and in real life. :-) what you think is good, then its the best haha.
@Derailedtrain666 I wouldn't worry about it - anyone that's bothered to pay the slightest attention to a REAL train moving along REAL tracks will see they're FAR from level! They not only wobble all over the place, but there's dips and bumps in the track too. If you look down a "straight" piece of track you'll see it is in fact, far from straight! Unfortunately most rails aren't 100% level, hence why trains need suspension to deal with it. I think you've done a spectacular job with this layout!!
2:55 Question for anyone who knows. When Amtrak ran roadrailers on the back of the trains were ther allowed to travel at 79mph or 72mph ? I road the Metoer and they would hook up 3 roadrailers and take off like a bat out of hell. kinda missed those days.
Nice video. Who was the engineer? he is out of service, he had no headlights on. also cant put a load of pipe on the pin, as that is not a bulkhead flat, if the pipes let go, they could kill somebody on that unit
Very nice layout or layouts. Ive got one of my own going too. Very small, but I just started. My question is where did you find the sound bites from?

This is great work! I only wish that I had this kind of skill! The "espee" engine move and the cnw/up intermodals were my favorites!
