Man I love this piano it looks great in this video =) I'm buying it online and I really love the emotion of your playing and with the piano quality, thanks for having the model in your name so people can look at it.
Hi there. I just started with Piano/Keyboard but i wanted so hard to express myself and made a jazz improvisation. Check it out on my profile (it's not that good, so don't be too hard). The recording quality is really good on my performance.
yo dude, take my advice and get a usb cable to connect ur piano to ur computer then u wont have the "THUMP" from the keys going down or any background noise either. it sounds LOADS better!!!!!!
Thanks for the tips. I suppose I am getting a bit lazy now since I used to practise intensely (Classical) when I was younger. I still wish though that there was basic editing, on the DGX, but that aside it is a marvelous instrument.
I am not as good as you and most times make a small mistake but there doesn't appear to be any editing. I have tried to transfer a midi file to the computer but when I recopy it back to the DGX the voices are not so good. What do you do? Or are you always note perfect?
The trick is to practice as much as you can and pretend you're recording yourself each time. Once you have had enough practice you will be able to perform it for the video camera. Yes, I make a few slip-ups in some of my other videos but not that noticeable. Only you know if you made a mistake or not. Practice whatever you're playing before recording and the note perfect will eventually come.
I liked this! I bought my DGX 620 over a year ago and have hardly learned half of what it can do!
Answer to the compy recording question. The dgx uses a standard 'D' - usb cable (the one that most Epson printers tend to use - not sure about others). They range from a couple of pounds/dollars upwards. To get decent compy recording sound quality, I would spend in the region of £5 GBP/ $10 USD.
Im thinking of getting this piano...is there anything you could tell me that you only realise after "owning" it for a while, as opposed to having just a quick test in a sho?
Yes, it is very easy. If the particular keyboard does not have L-R line-out, it definitely has a headphone receptacle. Using a double-male sound cable (that is so say both ends are male connectors), you plug line-out or headphone into the line-in of your computer and record as line-in. (Some people record "What U Hear," but the quality is inferior to direct line in.) If you have any questions, please respond.
Most music stores will have them, audio stores will probably have them, and you can find them online. It depends on the size of the female receptacles in both your computer (probably 1/8") and your keyboard (probably 1/4"). Search anywhere for 'male to male 1/8" cable' or 'male to male 1/4" cable.' There are cables that have one 1/8" and one 1/4", but I would suggest to get male to male 1/4" and buying a 1/8" adapter. Make sure it's all stereo, including the adapter!!!
Yeah, the styles are quite nice but can be hard at times. Stick around for my next works. I have integrated "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" along with "Pirates of the Caribbean 3 - Hoist the Colors." It actually sounds quite nice.
Additionally, I hope to import all my musical creations into my computer so anyone can download it as an .mp3 and play it whenever they'd like to.
Finally, I'll be reposting this soon once I get my new digital camcorder.
Sounds like tom waits kind of. I love this keyboard.. One day i'll have it

A double male ended jack cable will do that. One end in the piano's headphone socket and the other in your computers mic port.
