  • play DOM95 please the best ego shooter ever

  • 286 and 8 Mhz ;) hihihhihihihiiiii

  • 7 minutes???????????

  • I have to say this runs way smoother on a PSP SLIM

  • muy lento

  • can it be full screen?

  • lmfao what a waste of a system resource

  • ???

  • Mine has Mac OSX! OWNED!

  • @othergab1971 Mac sucks.

  • @1Koakuma1 made cuz you cant afford

  • @yahhcold BAHAH--- No. Because it just... sucks... I've used them MANY times to have an opinion on them.

  • Can you do this on Nintendo DS lite or DSi?

  • @Polygon6789 no!

  • fuck LAPTOPS!

  • i am so speachless its like unreal but im seeing it man life sure is great

  • i tried it on my PSP .

    I got a BSOD :D

  • Have got PSP ballz to run XP??

  • Someone please explain why Windows 95 on a PSP would be useful.

  • @SlyBeast It isn't useful, but they're showing it can be done.

  • @SlyBeast Because you can!

  • looks like the graphic card driver ain't installed properly. :)

  • if your in need of a copy head over to the psp section of teh emuparadise forums :)

  • That psp pwns my mom's laptop what have windows vista

  • @xIDecapitatorIx I really don't know how to explain it so much - but for me, Ubuntu runs better on my Beagleboard xM (1.0 GHz + 1 GB of DDR2 RAM) than on my Core2 Duo laptop w/ 2 GB ram. Even though video decoding is faster on the Core2 Duo, the beagle board consumes 1W running decoding 1080p MP4 @ 30 fps and the Core2 Duo is consuming like 56W.

  • 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000minutes

  • how did you put the bios on it and rewrite the bios to work on a completely different processor?

  • @lazers93 He is running the equivalent of a virtual machine for BIOS and x86 CPU emulation.

  • @lazers93 Dosbox emulator

  • Here you see the true power of a psp and what it's capable of!

    5/5

  • I like how Windows XP makes a smiley. Imagine Windows 8D or XD.

  • will it run office applications like word?

  • I use Windows 95 Because My Birth, and I was born in 1995 before Windows 95 came out, I was Born During Windows 3.1 Period.

  • Wow! 7 Minutes?

  • cool video, but fucking shit music lol

  • The funny thing about this is, that a Windows 95 PC has a faster Processer than a PSP but the PSP's graphics card must be like 100's of times better than a Windows 95 PC

  • @BrandonCrazyTV most windows 95 pc's usually only use a pentium which maxed out at 233mhz with the mmx. if you use the recovery menu in your cfw you can set your psp to 333. but you are totally right about the gpu back then 4mb of vram was crazy and gpu clocks of around 66mhz were pretty high end too!

  • @BrandonCrazyTV jsesTM is right, The PSP processor is about 50-100x faster. The clock speed is about 50-100% more and clock speed doesn't translate directly to performance. You have certain amounts of clocks per instruction and the PSP CPU can execute two instructions or more per clock cycle (666 MIPS) and it took anywhere between 25 - 50 clocks for a Pentium or Pentium MMX to execute just one. So even at the same clock the PSP is faster.

  • @linuxrobotdude I don't Think it runs natively Though which causes Massive slowdown unless i'm mistaken

  • @cptultor You are definately right. The PSP's processor is not x86, so no Microsoft stuff native. It uses ARM architecture, which is RISC, so it is faster anyway. A 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A9 cpu(single core version) has the amount of power as a 2.4 GHz Core2 Duo + 512 MB to 1 GB of RAM right on the chip, and the chip is about a square inch.

  • what the ???

  • @Yoomyyehaa lol i had this but it sometimes will crash, its quite interesting.

  • Put Windows 1.0 on it!

  • Are you running this under bochs, emulation layer?

  • HOW THE...

    HELL?

  • ive got a question: whats about the keyboard? how do i use this?

  • how do you type

  • Good Song

  • the psp it's done for games not windows... lol

  • OMG!!!!

  • whats that icon at 0:25 that is chaped like a key?

  • Comment removed

  • Hey. Kannst du da mal Everest drauf laufen lassen und dann einen Bericht machen lassen und den dann hochladen? Mich würde mal interessieren wie Windows 95 die PSP abscannt, wieviel Mhz sie hat usw xD

  • fucking unbelievable

    5/5

  • @Zetio2255 ii can do this with dosbox

  • @Zetio2255 I will try making Win 98 for PSP

    Approx setup time to complete:

    155 minutes)

  • All the Angels - Dead Confederate

  • That song is NOT Snow by the Chili Peppers.... what is it?

  • yes you can run Windows '95 on your PSP... my question is.... why would you want to?

  • @Pacman8030 98 era half life1 duke nukem and VB6 and Ports of modern software flash 10

  • the link ass

  • how did u do dat?

  • i haze a blue screen:(

  • Everyone, this is completely possible, the psp processor normally runs at 333 mhz, and it has 64 mb of ram (32 mb for older versions). I'm guessing that this guy probably somehow overclocked the psp processor, making it run at like 500 mhz. So yes, this is possible, but very hard and very slow.

  • lol it runs perfectly good at 333 Mhz, maximum. No one tried to overclock it, cuz it'll burn the motherboard!

  • Comment removed

  • @jo2305 yes 333mhz can run this OS but it is really slow.i tested it already with my psp 3000.(it has custom firmware)

  • @jo2305 He didn't OC it, because it is already that slow.

  • whaT!!!!!! THE HECK I HAVE THIS ON MY IPOD WHO WONTS THE DOWNLOAD? BOCHES.DEB GOOGLE IT!!!!

  • @Brato86: thats wrong!!

psp has 1.333 mhz and 64 mb ram!

  • Someone or guy who made this video.. SEND ME THE DOWNLOAD LINK

  • can sum1 plz gimme a download link plzzzz?

  • lerne erstmal richtig schreiben!

  • with proper grammar i would

  • why so slow? emulation?

psp : 333 mhz cpu with 32 mb ram memory my old rig that started win95 under 1 minute :

66 mhz with 8 mb ram

  • The psp is emulating it. The psp's hardware is not made to run windows. Thats why its slow slow.

  • When emulating something, the emulator must be at least 3 times stronger than the emulated thing.

    Source: Somewhere on the internet

  • @Brato86 Yes, emulation.

  • PLEASE!!! Download Link Please!!!

  • i did this before :-) the sad fact was that it was more of a novelty than a practicality. I could say "ive got windows on my psp!!" but I couldn't do anything useful with it...

  • I would Try Putting Damn Small Linux on the PSP... It would probably run Pretty decent on the psp judging the requirements on the DSL website

  • hey, it's funny cause i downloaded that (DSL) a day before i wrote this reply. i have the iso, but how do you convert it to an .img ?? i have the trial for Ultraiso and i use it to install old games onto windows98 for psp.

  • LOL

  • do you need cfw for that

  • Yes

  • try playing interstate 76 , if it works , i will surely download this

  • try it on your own???

  • haha nice job dude and now try to put GTA 3 on it^^

  • rate

  • smart dude

  • is that the PSP Phat or Slim?

  • fat

  • yea... ive seen UMPCs go faster using vista/xp... no offence this is amazing but to get decent speed ud have to modify the entire hardware structure. this is, however, a very cool idea

  • man that's really slow!!!

  • What's the name of the song ?

  • this is the future ^^

  • to make it run faster go to google and type in psp on psp using dosbox tutorial

  • Who puts an OS on a PSP anyway?

    I mean really.

  • comment tu fais pour le mettre

  • gj dude. but it sure must be boring to play solitaire at half or even 1/4 tthe real speed...

  • lol thats shit

  • this is just a loading peace-o-shit!!

    get win311!

  • GET WINURMOM LMAO!

  • what is the point, can you even go online with this?

  • yes! you use the PSPs WLAN

  • this is probably a stupid question but why doesn't this run faster, isn't pentium II about just as fast as the cpu of the psp?

  • the PSP has a 333 MHz CPU, pentium 2 had a CPU from 233 MHz to 450 MHz. so yeah.

  • so... why doesnt'it run faster, cus of the ram?

  • Comment removed

  • well, its emulation... your not really support to run windows on a psp's operating system. thats why linux on the ps3 SUCKS!

  • cause psp and a pc doesent have the same system .

i think that the psp must emulate a pc somehow

  • yes, the PSP emulates a PC, via DOSBox! It will only run windows 1.x, 2.x, 3.x, 95, 98, and Me - NT 3.x/4.x, 2k, XP, Vista and 7 won't work as they are NT-based systems, but what's the point anyway :-)

  • with a little tweaking to increase speed this could actually be pretty cool

  • Would be awesome if a new psp that is released in 10 year can run Windows Vista ^^

  • It'd be the same exact thing to them, retard.

  • the next video use win xp playing gta

  • can u use this to play runescape plz reply???:D

  • No you cant, but theres a program to controll your pc with your psp meaning if you have a good enough conncection and a fast psp you can basicly play runescape. Lookup PSPVNC

  • ok thanks

  • when using psp vnc and creating a connection to your pc use the WINDOWS icon or else it wouldn't work ;) . And you would also have to install Tight VNC on your pc. When that's installed, just highlight the icon in your tray bar and you'll see your IP. Put that on your psp while making the connection and add port 5900 behind it. Example: 192.198.1.1:5900 Name it and click on windows icon. And you're done ^^

  • windows 95 still in business

  • @rikhanz my grandma has a windows 1.0 demo computer... top that!

  • why would any one even want any version of windows of there harddrive, let alone psp

    unix ftw

  • How do you right click?

  • Wow. You could install stuff onto your psp

  • i just wish i could emulate 95 on my computer

and your doing it on a psp thats not fair

    ATF

  • lol, he's not emulating, he's actually running it.

  • well he is virtualizing it which is about halfway between. Its running in a machine that is software based that is running on the psp.

  • yea, I just realized that after I posted the comment =P. Did you try running windows 95 on vmware?

  • Yeah it runs but very slow and once i open some apps its pretty brutal the sad thing is that my system has way more power than that psp and still runs that operation system just about as horrible... The problem is I am actually trying to run it so I can do old Dos/Win16 programs now DOS I can emulate with DosBox good enough but the Win16 stuff got a game called BurnCycle to run slowly any other program/game/app of any sort not built into windows not really happening.

  • I am really waiting for more 64 bit optimized Virtualization Software ... Hoping Parallels Workstation for Windows will do the trick when its finally written for my computer

  • Ah. I'm debating if I should stick with 32bit or 64 bit. I heard from some sources that windows xp can use only 3gb or ram, while my computer supports up to 4gb, and I am not going to switch to vista as my primary OS. I'm also hearing that Win XP 32bit supports up to 4gb, and the 64bit versions support alot more. I guess I will just have to see for myself. I just don't like the sound of 64bit because of incompatibility issues, and because 32bit and 64bit depend on your processor's architecture.

  • Yeah my OS is VISTA 64 HOME premium and it supports up to 16 gb ram but my comp stops at 4gb

and that is what it has but with vista it is almost needed to have at least 2

and yeah you got no 16 bit compatibility with this os maybe microsoft could make a legacy gamer shell that runs the binary for the older games and than have it collapse once the program is closed like they use to do with dos

ATF be nice though i might just be dreaming

  • Ima install vista on a separate hard drive, just to try it, and for directx 10, although there's a hack for directx 10 to be on XP. I think because my processor is x86 it can support both 32 & 64bit, so I should probably try 64bit sometime. Do you know if 64bit will do a better job handling Games or Programs?

  • x86 does not do 64 bit. If it runs the os it wont run it at the full bitrate/bandwidth I would just stick to 32 if I was you than so you can play the olderstuff and yes it runs better for new things but you lose so much I am rather regretting my action and hoping that the new parallel will solve my problem after that maybe give it a try

    ATF

  • Pointless to run 95 on a PSP, but cool that you can. emulating a non native architecture is very demanding on resources, so it's no surprise on the 10 minute boot times. I think the mouse control would cause me to break my PSP though.. so I'll stay away from this and stick to other homebrew on my psp.. if I need to run Windows 95, I'll just virtualize it on my PC..

  • y would u bother to do this

  • Cos you can.

  • whats the song please say ? and

whit evry thing i download it says

the game could not be started.

    (80020148) please help reply

  • snow by red hot chili peppers moron how the hell can you not know this song

  • you must have custom firmware to run this

  • Hah, it's like Windows 98 on my mac using Virtual PC, only 1000x slower... Infact, this makes 98 look like it runs natively on my Mac :P

  • I have Paint and Notepad on my iPod video

  • dude thats an emulator! if it was the real os it would be so slow it would take 10:46 minutes to boot so you have the wrong version!

  • what, are you some kind of math professor that calculated the time it would take to run it on that type of machine?

  • no i fucking have more diplomas on programming then you have :) ruby/perl/pico/xhtml/javascript/java/dev c++/cyber science. and so i know more then u that you cant run 2 operating systems in one thing like the psp because it also has linux kernel aka ofw official firmware in it so you suck dickweeds not to know this shit!

  • lol rofelmavo, I don't remember him asking you to list your diplomas.

"so i know more than u that you cant run 2 operating systems in one thing"

    ok then.

  • ehm, you can! for example mac! you can switch through operating systems easy and quick noob

  • you really don't understand English, do you.

  • Well, little kid on sugar, at least i don't forget the capital letter, you try to prove me less smart then you but the problem is: "The smart one is not the one who knows more but the one who learns much." :)

  • You forgot a capital letter. "at least i don't forget the capital letter." The "i".

  • Are you people really this sad to pick on someone's grammar and spelling on the Internet?

  • No, I just thought it was ironic that he was telling this guy that he forgot a capital. He should probably check his comments before he posts them.

  • cool wie hast du das gemacht?

  • Wie hast du zeit? :D :D I'm learning german YAY! heh:D

  • great song!!

  • its slow because its EMULATED, and the emulator is very primitive..

  • 32, but don't forget about the PSP's own OS running in the background.

  • Fucking annoying music - else than that, cool thing for sure

  • Annoying? its RHCP man!

  • ignore the nay sayers, I think it's pretty impressive, very cool dude!

  • win95 sux on the psp. its so slow, and it gets BSOD a lot due to the lack of RAM and CPU power

  • Actually, it's supposed to run faster than that. The psp has 32 mb and a 333 mhz cpu, which is more than enough to run Windows 95. Windows 95 is supposed to run fine with about 16 mb of RAM (maybe 8 mb at the very least) on a P1 90 mhz.

  • No, my old win 95 computer has a p75 mhz

  • You don't get the point xD

  • PLAY DOOM DO IT PLAY DOOM I DARE U

  • dude that song was on death note the movie =]

  • un video genial, 5 stars

  • this is just soo cool :D you get 5 stars mate!

btw, loocks kinda hard to move the mouse ;)... it´s bad there isn´t any other way instead of emulate this things...

  • cool is this real or fake?

  • its real..

    no fake..

  • i'ts real,

and you can run old mac OS's on it too with an emulator called Basilisk II (there's also a version for nintendo DS)

  • who would want to ruin there psp with mac

  • watcha gonna run with windows 95 going that slow? minesweeper?

this is a pointless argument to start. i suggest we leave it alone :)

  • its a fucking video. stop fucking lying. when the mouse was movin on the psp your going the whole other way.

  • i have xp running on it!

  • good try but it is so slow my millenium(after 98) takes about 10 minutes just to get to the desktop well slow!

  • do you need a custom firmware

  • yuo are thinking your psp is able to do all you want to do.

German: Wenn man keine ahnung hat einfach mal fresse halten.

  • the psp has a 333mhz cpu if i'm not wrong, and it also has a pretty good video chip.I don't understand why it looks so slow.I can run win 98se on my old pc that has 133Mhz cpu (slower than PSP),and also has no videocard, just a primitive video chip that has 1mb video memory! explain me why PSP is slower that the shittier PC!

  • becuause the damn psp wasn't made to run windows can you not figure that out!

  • Actually it is because it is also running the PSP os too you newb. Treat people with respect before someone older and smarter owns you.
