The bow thruster was rendered irrelevant once the stern line was secured. All the skipper needed to do was power ahead slowly and the boat would have come alongside the dock without a few thousand dollars of bow thruster. There are other situations in which a bow thruster really shines; this isn't one of them.
never NEVER let the crew jump from the boat whilst docking - injuries are very likely - this guy got lucky but it shows just how awkward leaping from a boat to a dock is
...when i was driving boat for the first time,(at eight or nine years old) i dock the ship much better then this "expert"...this is a joke,for the people that sail only on vsk...(nice game :) )
