I love how conservative media also has a distorted view on the meaning of jihad. Jihad does not meant holy war as it is so often fed to us by the media. It means struggle, and I guess theoretically a struggle in the name of God. Jihads are not all violent. It can be anything from attempting to raise money for charity to war to something as simple as trying to get good grades in school. People from the Middle East are no more dangerous than Westerners however the conservatives on BOTH SIDES are.

I think the purpose behind such hearings is to investiate why some muslims tend to go down the path of radicalization. This IS a legimimate question, and an investigation will yeild that its a fundamental problem with Islam itself. This idea that there are more terror attacks done by non-muslims and that islam is just any othere religion is leftist nonsense. How many Amish carrage bombs have been set off recently? People don't frequent them or depend on them like transportation systems, therefore it doesn't create fear or anxiety in any general population. Most people don't go to abortion clinics and most people aren't in congress. Conversely, most people use or have used a public bridge, tunnel, plane, train, or bus. Additionally, these criminals aren't part of a largely financed networks.

@BigLundi Women can make their money, have their own business, have education etc. The Mothers of Islam is the prime example of this. ALL their money is THEIRS. While the man has too support his family 100%, support his ex-wife 100% until she is remarried or financially stable, MUST do Friday prayers, make sure his wife is happy and pleased, wear modest clothing, lower his gaze from anything forbidden etc. Girlfriend/boyfriends are not permissible in Islam for many reasons for old and young.
