  • Just saw this video and then read the "idiot" comments. The boys have beautiful voices and if people took the time to find out what the scene is maybe they wouldn't sound like "idiots" when commenting. It's a funeral and dramatically the boys "come OUT". It's not an aria it's broadway. Good grief people...smarten up and beautifully done Steve and Jason!!!

  • i will be singing this song soon and im also a tenor hopefuly i can pull this off

  • Beautifully done. Wonderful voice. Wonderful connection. The sobs took me out a bit, but not so much that you lost me. Thank you for the performance.

  • Lovely natural voice, but he needs to relax those "r" 's and re-examine his pronunciation in general. He separates words, and belabors phrases such as "Gently whispering" in a way that sounds pedantic rather than musical. If he can elide his words, it will help his phrasing.

  • @sopranosd The 'r's are right for both the character and style. Malcolm comes from Buffalo, NY, and his dialect ought to reflect that. If this were an aria or an art song, I'd agree with you, but in the spirit of Broadway, the pronunciation is not only acceptable but appreciated. Also, the strange staccato thing appears to be a directorial choice: All the actors in this production do it. Perhaps the director feared intelligibility would be lost to more lyrical phrasing?

  • Steve you are so amazing!!! I always love watching you perform!! Can't wait to see you in Annie!!! <3 Sara

  • Hmm. Didn't really buy the emotion. Great sound though, minus the Rrrr's

  • the red headed guy was easier to listen to

  • this rend was slow, but i liked it. I wished he would have touched him sooner. Maybe, that bc how my theatre did it, but i wished had been faster and he touhed him quicker. lol, but the unison "hill TOP" Bogarted my speakers. :)

  • Perfect emotional performance.

  • I love this song. I had it played at my wedding . . . sooooo out of context, but it is beautiful when you simply listen to the words

  • I had a suddden urge to listen to this song. I love it, and this guy singing it is a great tenor.

  • Nice voice. Love this song. Makes me wish I were a tenor. Annoying over pronunciation. I don't care how big the house is. There is no need to use all of those r's. NeveRRRR alone foRRR you walk with me. RRRuined it for me.

  • Steve You Did Amazing!! still one of my fav shows

  • Amazing!!!

  • GREAT!! i thought it was quite slow but great video
