  • Denmark in Hummel was great. Now it doesn’t look like a national team. Danes, be yourself, have a national proud.

  • LAZARONI TINHA QUE TER CAIDO AI DEIXARAM ELE CHEGAR NA COPA DO MUNDO DEU NO QUE DEU ALIAS ELE NEM DEVERIA TER ASSUMIDO A SELEÇÃO,OCARLOS ALBERTO SILVA ,OU ENTÃO O CARLINHOS,ÉQUE DEVERIAM COMANDAR O BRASIL NA COPA DE 90,NESSA EXCURSÃO O BRASIL SÓ TOMOU SACODE FEIO FOMOS MASSACRADOS!

  • Hvad stadion er det?

  • @Ceerial Københavns Idrætspark/Idrætsparken eller bare Parken =)

  • @Ceerial

    Idrætsparken

  • This shows Brazil is not invincible

  • @carlos1424 Norway is undefeated against Brazil.

  • @764dak When Brazil losses it MAKES ME REALLY HAPPY: FRANCE SENT THEM PACKING 2 time is '86, '98 and '06....

  • @carlos1424 - FUCK YOU to talk about my nation like that! So where r u from Carlos??...

  • @MumboJumboisallitalk Go SCREW YOURSELF PIG! where Im from is nonne of your business!!!

  • @carlos1424 - Go FUCK YASELF, FAG!!!!!!!

  • @MumboJumboisallitalk So.....you are that angry at life that you are picking fights with others? some advice to you:n find sometinhg productive, because fighting with others is only for losers..Idiot!

  • @carlos1424 - No... u have to be careful of what u say about other nations. You're the one who's starting to pick on other nation by saying bad stuff about them. And I wasn't starting a fight. You were actually the one who was doing it....

  • @carlos1424 - LOL.... What a joke. France proved it and so did Holland(Netherlands)!! Us 'A Seleção' have been vulnerable in recent times. But we will, WILL WIN the next WC at home in '14!!

  • o brasil perdeu quatro zero MERDA

  • Brazil fielded NONE of the first team players, so this game was worthless. Norway beat Brazil 4-2 at home against a full strength Brazil. They also beat them 2-1 in World Cup 98. In fact, Norway have never lost to Brazil.

  • @toretann i guess your from norway?

  • @toretann - That's true Toretann! And that's why we didn't do well in the following year at the 1990 WC either!

  • Gud bevare Danmark, gid os vikinger forsætter med det her kampspil. Længe leve alle danskere!

  • Dengang hvor de kunne noget .

  • Denmark, is best

  • Whats the name of this stadium??

  • @sitlord75 - LegoLand stadium...

  • Brazil often get troubles playing the Scandinavian teams.

  • @prinzdodo Not with Sweden

  • @vergettigrego - That's right! Not with Sweden or Iceland.

  • Look, this was far from a full strength Brazilian team. Players like Taffarel, Dunga, Alemao, Branco, Careca, Romario, Aldair, Muller, and Bebeto were all missing, just to name a few.

This is the squad that Brazil brought to Denmark. How many of these players have you (or had you) ever heard of?

Acacio, Roberto, Cruz, Gomes, Branco, Bernardo, Silva, Bismarck, Valdo, Gerson, Christovao, Mazinho, Silas, Charles, Edu and Manga.

We wouldn't have beaten the "real" Brazil 4-0

  • @tienefuego

Yeah, it makes sense Brazil lost so badly, they played with a B-side. However, Brazil with their A-side in the 1990 WC were also very poor IMO.

  • @expedition16 I agree. They were far from convincing in the group stages (yes, they won all three games in an easy group, but not by playing that well) and then they lost to the Argies in the round of 16

  • @tienefuego: Certamente, companheiro. Congratulations Danmark! Brazilians love your football!

  • @19nando79 Sorry, I don't understand Portuguese. I did understand the last sentence though :-)

  • @Jangadas It's from 1989

  • Why is it, that all the greatest players on our national team are former or current Brøndby players!!! Schmeichel, Laudrup*3, Lars Olsen, Kim Vilfort, and so on, and so on.

  • (continued from last post) I also remember during the 80's how Sweden failed to qualify for all European championships and World Cups, while the Danes participated in 84, 86 and 88. That way, growing up in Sweden in the 80's meant that the national team you supported was actually the Danish side, since they had a team in the big tournaments (memories of Mexico '86 come flowing back, watching the games live on tv at night with my father, and I think Denmark really deserved to be semifinalists).

  • Comment removed

  • Wow! Them old days! I remember this small three nation tournament (Denmark, Sweden and Brazil), I must've been about 13. I watched the Sweden games on tv, where the Swedes beat Brazil 2-1, and Denmark beat Sweden 6-0. This Danish side was very strong. They were just beginning to build a new team after the success they experienced in France '84 and Mexico '86, and the Euro '92 tournament would be the historic testament to their great strength.

  • in that time Denmark could beat anyone.... i'll say they were one of the best teames in the world

  • Probably one of the more misleading scorelines in a Denmark match. Brazil actually played well in this game and had just as many chances to score as Denmark, including, if I remember correctly, three shots against the post. 4-4 probably would have been fair. But Laudrup put in one of his best Denmark performances.

  • Hvorfor spillede Danmark ikke sådan i VM.?

  • why didn't coach lazaroni fell after this game? this fact cold have saved the world cup of 90.

  • ÅH!

    Morten Olsen. Landstræner!!

  • this is football. Not the shit they show us in South Africa. Football is death at the moment.

  • @florian2444 i agree

  • @florian2444 - It can't be jealous wonder, if your nation is doing crap! There are just better nations than yours!

  • Not to mention Denmark won Euro 92 and the Confederations Cup in 95 in a final against Argentina. 2-0.

  • @August079

No they didn't, in fact it was 3-2 and the Brazilians said afterwards that they had had a real fright and praised Denmark for taking them on the way they did. It was arguably the best game of WC98 and none of the boring way France played. France, even in the final did not attempt what Denmark did. I happen to know there are many Brazilians who love the way Denmark plays. They have a kindred spirit and hate when Brazil does not play according to character. Danish fans does likewise.

  • Absolutely fantastic second goal by Laudrup - a real forgotten gem of a goal. Such balance and poise. thanks for posting!

  • @Jangadas

This is from 1989 as a part. The Danish soccer association turned 100 years that year and they invited Brazil to come and play a friendly.

  • @Jesperladefoged No, Danish Soccer Association (DBU) invited Brazil AND Sweden to a minitourney and not a friendly as we know them today. Denmark won the tourney with maximumpoints and a 10-0 score after beating both Sweden (6-0 on the 14th of June) and Brazil (4-0 on the 18th of June).

  • Would you agree that the generation after the 86 one was less talented then the 92 one? because they had not qualified for EURO 92 and luck was on their side that Yugoslavia got kicked out. And after 92 that generation never got anywhere near those heights again. Btw, I'm from Holland, do you think Denmark have a good side this year?

  • This was that great Danish generation past it's past though. Their peak was undoubtedly WC 86. But in EURO 88 they lost all their group games. I don't wanna sound too negative but in 89 Brazil didn't have a really great team. All Brazil teams are good but this wasn't a brilliant team like they in WC 82 for example. Btw, Olsen was 41 in 1989 right? he had a really long career.

  • @expedition16

Actually, they tried to make a new team after the 88 disaster. A lot of the WC 86 players retired from the team, including Elkjaer, Arnesen, Lerby(who later mader a brief comeback), and others. Olsen retired as well, but a year later, at 39(he turned 40, a month after this game), he was recalled, for his final 3 games, with this one being his last.

  • @expedition16

Brazil just before and after the 90 world cup were a bit shaky. They even lost friendlies against Ireland and Wales!

  • @JMR83 Brazil would've done much better inthe '90 World cup, if Romario hadn't missed most of their games, due to injury. Him and Careca would've been deadly playing alonside each other. Romario also missed the '98 World Cup due to injury, and the '02 World Cup, due to indiscipline. I found these incidents particularly frustrating, as he was my favourite player, even though I'm an English Everton fan.

  • @bugstrut

But he was there in 94 and won it so hardly matters does it?

  • @expedition16 Brazil still had a great team. The difference is that the team which they sent to Denmark didn't have any of their decent players. It was a poor team full of players who would never get close to the "real" Brazilian squad.

  • and 4 a long time he was the coach 4 denmark.

  • world cup 98 REVENGE

  • Great upload. Thanks! I had forgotten about this game. Amazing result, even for a friendly.

What's up with August? Did he play on the brazilian side or what? And why are people here comparing d***s over an old football match?

  • Here in Brazil we admire Denmark Team a lot always by playing a offensive football

  • I remember that game very vividly. Brazil did bring its best players and Denmark was simply superior. They were a great team and deserved to win that day. Never again would brazil be so inferior to its adversary, including that `98 final. And, as far as i can remember, never before had we been so inferior as well. I think the danes can be proud of that.

  • Stop whining! Denmark had a great team then.

  • Michael Laudrup - Simply the Best...

  • Danmark is a great team... it didn't win 5 world cups but, hey, who cares about world cups anyway

  • @ezekielwahwah like, everybody except those who can't get one?

  • @ezekielwahwah - 'Who cares about World Cups?'?... It proves to show how good u are, bloody idiot!!! How many times does Denmark make the Semi's, or at least the Quarters then??... Fucken ZILCH!!! As u say who cares about World Cups anyway, why follow the bloody sport internationally???

  • I have a good beach to go when I'm tired. And you...? Suicide?

Go to your cold hell with your mom, little doll!

  • Is necessary more years old to destroy your ridiculous theory?

Is necessary to have resources to get capacity to join and train future good players. If the brazilian clubs got more structure, a lot of kids can be good players. But, they work.

Good Club is like doors to get future players. It demands resources to make new centers of talents.

You have it. But... your teams always suck. Isn't surprise that you don't know how to answer.

  • @August378

You have got serious issues mate, go see a doctor or something.. no really!

And your english is really weird, are you using google translate or are you just really really bad at it??

  • @clapyourhandsify You are so slower to discussion that need to block other users that go here to opine. This attitude is to gays and cowards.

Before say about some theme, you need to be man!

Ok. about this discustion (by August or KbCa0o)...

  • @August179 I have some arguments, but I don't live in fiction world. Your argument is bizarre. I laugh much. Don't exists a law that prove that the population number is decisive in some sport. Also in Olympiads it isn't proved. Is possible to get a lot of medals with small population.

You are only attempt to justify your ridiculous team. no success!

  • Comment removed

  • @August179 Well... I think that Brazilian style did success because the players used your creativity and skill to play free.

    Today this isn't possible.

Types like you transformed football in an tedious sport.

I hate your leagues because the game is always previsible.

Well... you isn't appropriate to speak about it, I think.

I didn't say theories but the empiric true. Probably you never played footbal. Football, today is a big business and an competitive ambient.

  • @August179 Isn't more that sport of the other times.

And you go here to say about population and sport... pathetic!

1 - Explain about Argentina or Uruguay haahahaha

2 - If the football is played by 10% people in India, it is a big number! (1,5 bi) Why you know about India? lol... the old problem of some europeans... They think to know about all!

3 - What law proves the ascension of Brazil during 50's with Pele and others?

  • @August179 The answers isn't so difficult.

During long time we played for diversion and we used creativity.... when you just run behind for the ball.

    LOLOL ingenuous danish

Don't block my 'posts' if you is good to anything!

  • @August179 Or better... beseech it to your friends!

  • @clapyourhandsify loser theory.

  • wow! you really dont like loosing huh? Brazil can be beaten by 90% of all national teams! and thats the beauty of football! but i understand if your imbarrased of being undressed like that by a tiny country from scandinavia!

  • If Brazil had taken it seriously, they might have lost the match 1-4 instead of 0-4.

When you look at the quality of the goals, you'll see that the Danish team was brilliant.

  • The statistics don't care.

And the home audience won't care either.

  • NORDEN NORDEN <3

  • Those where the days, when Denmark totally outplayed Brazil... That will hopefully happen again in 250 days in SOUTH AFRICA!!!

  • MICHAEL LAUDRUUUUP!

    xD

  • Bismarck and Silas = good squad players...also, the Brazil teams of the eighties WERE notoriously poor, their WORST world Cup performance in recent decades came..oh just a year later at Italia 90.

Thes Brazil 'fans' who admire their recent years, and distant past who'd rather not remember this 80s era, when the second team (with half the players of the first team:p ) can't demolish a much smaller, untrophied and unfancied european nation. Go Denmark, one of my all-time outside favourites!!

4x0 fora o baile.

  • >9 - Gérson (who?)

Really? Gérson was pretty sweet, come on now.

  • It is from The 18 of June 1989. To celebrate DBU´s (The Danish FA) 100 year birthday, Denmark played two games against Sweden and Brazil. Sweden was beat 6 - 0 on the 14 of June and Brazil was as you can guess, destroyed four days later ;)

  • 2002

  • my favourite game ever. seeing brazil completely destroyed at their own game
