Im about to order this sub and was jw so i know about what to expect...can it hit the low note in Put On?

@acf127 It does hit the lowest note, however it does not hit with the authority and sound levels that it hits some of the higher notes in the song.  That lowest note is very very low....

That low note for put on shook my entire truck when I still had my 18BTL's. I've only heard BTL but I love FI they have so many options for basically any budget. So many companys sacrifice so much quality but from the video's I see of the other FI sub's they really don't sacrifce. Yes, I do have a couple videos to show my 18's doin work.

im lookin at putin 2 ina ported center console box, at about 1.15 cubic ft. per chamber on a 2000 watt hifonics BXi amp. the 2010d. dual 2 ohm wired down to 1 ohm on the amp.

Well it really depends what you mean by slam.. For a single 10" in a sealed box, yes it is loud! However, previously i have had 15" setups running 1800watts.. so its all relative.

Most shops will build you a custom box...ORRRRR you can try your hand at fabricating your own. It's not too hard...you just have to have enough space available for the appropriate airspace.

alpine amps have a subsonic filter at 30 hz i do believe. thats why they suck.....

They have a subsonic filter switchable @ 15hz or 30hz or it can be turned off.

i know it would be better in a bigger ported enclosure.. but hes actually a little OVER the sealed enclosure recommendation. this sub goes in a .2-.6 cubic foot enlcosure sealed and hes got it in a sealed .7. even with speaker displacement hes in the range.

The Q repsonse is kinda low on that enclosure. but it gives a flatter rolloff to the lows, but less efficient up top and decreased power handling. I would've gone inside spec, but there's nothing wrong per se, about this enlcosure. Beautifully integrated...kudos.

I'm thinking of putting this exact sub set up in my ranger. How well does it fill your car. I figure if it fills a car well, in a standard cab truck it would be insane. How is the sq in sealed? That's what I think I want. Suggestions?

Im happy with it. It has pretty good output for a single 10" It should do really well in a standard cab. The SQ is up to par. I have had some very serious SQ drivers before this one so... but overall i am very happy with the sub and would definitely recommend it.

I've never heard the ssd personally but from what i have heard the Q is worth the extra money. From my understanding the Q is pretty much a superior driver is every way.
