As Michael Scheuer says, the radical Islamists don't attack us because we allow women in the work-place, but because we wage wars and support tyrannies in their countries.
funny thing is that bin laden had actually died a year b4 this vid was posted (2007).
Show me pics of his dead body / sound reasons why I should trust the official 'story' and then I'll respond with my evidence, or you can circumvent this via using your friend Google for yourself. :)
This video was done 4 years ago. All those "active" terrorists that Beck claims are inside the USA have not attacked us. Terrorism is a problem, but it's a hyped problem by clowns like Beck. People in America make big money off scaring the public.
Emerson is a shill for right-wing Zionists (conspiratorial groups and individuals) in the US, that supply him with strategy, dialogue and data. He does not want Americans to know that they are helping to create enemies by their actions in the Middle East. His simplistic response is that Arabs just hate Americans for "what they are. They just simply America. Beating the drums of war for Israel.
Scheuer is just trying to sell some books. He folds whenever any one challenges. Then again he is the man responsible for NOT catching Bin Laden isn't he?
@ultracdp1911 Actually, he is the man who was responsible for learning all there is to know about Osama Bin Laden. The problem was, when those in power found out what he learned of OBL's motivations they covered him up. The truth doesn't fit their war propaganda.
@BudWithBeats76 I know who the douchebag is. He lead the group charged with getting Bin Laden. He claims that our former president stoped him. I heard through sources that know that he's a blowhard and a total self promoter.
@ultracdp1911 Robert Pape author of the largest study on suicide bombers fully corroborates Scheuer's claims. Listen to the terrorists they go out of their way to explain their motives. If its freedom and our way of life then why don't Holland, Denmark, Sweden and other free nations have constant bombing?. They're much easier targets, doesn't make any sense.
TERROR FEARS , they are everywhere and they are gettin stronger! close your doors, buy more stuff and dont talk to anybody who is not white!
as a person from outside US its REALLY hard to watch your media. Although Scheuer is right in some points, this whole debate and format is so incredible mindfucking, wow...
I miss this Glenn Beck. He wasn't obsessed with putting everything on a blackboard and actually had guests that he let talk about their expertise. That is, he was a host and not a lecturer.
Oy vey! This insolent goy has the CHUTZPAH to say that Israel isn't worth American lives or tax dollars? Who does this pisher think he is? We Jews are the chosen people! You goyim should be worshiping us. Now repeat after me: "Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war..."
If Beck and Emerson think a small number of lunatic Muslims are a threat to the entire world they are simply delusional and paranoid. Scheuer is correct about why the USA is hated. If the USA adopts a sane foreign policy the terrorism problem would mostly vanish.
Emerson s the quintessential example of the dumbness that's affected most american ppl, why would middle eastern muslims hate any other country for their freedom and democracy, rather they should like these features themsleves.
Emerson's thinking is the disease of America (what lot of ppl have bought into) and Scheuer is the treatment for it. Freaking Obl himself said read his book to understand alQ.
@hassanibnali Yes i agree emerson is a huge dumb ass the pig should be punched in the face for insulting a genius like Sceuer who is the smartest American and most aware in terms of reality in the middle east. FUCK GLEN BECK and EMerson skum bag
@rgs11, I tell the truth. This is my task. Truth is often hurtful and brutal. Many people hate me for telling it. That's fine with me. If someone cannot stand it, they should go away.
@Kurtlane As I said before: you can make an argument why these egregious policies are necessary evils but please spare us the "turn the other cheek" bullsh*t. I could sit here and post Israel's highest officials comments in their own words all day long for weeks (you can thank them for being stupid and arrogant enough to make these comments on the record) but any objective person with the slightest grasp on history knows that Israel has never "turned the other cheek"!
to "This is the nature of the Jews. By nature they abhor keeping their commitments. By nature, they hate peace. By nature, they love treachery, betrayal, deception, killing and blood. This is their nature. ... Hitler was right to say what he said and was right to do what he did to the Jews." (Hussam Fawazi Jabar. From lecture on Al-Nas TV (Egypt), July 11, 20)
to: "Let us examine the civil strife the Jews have cause throughout the world. ... They went around the world – the East and West – because they love money, and the west was full of money ... They focused on these places, and this is why they have spread in America and control the money. They immigrate to any place where there was money. The Jews spread corruption in the land during World Wars I and II. ,,,
"They spread corruption in the land – in Czechoslovakia, in Germany, and the republics of the USSR. The corruption spread by the Jews was very great. Very great. It got to the point that the rulers themselves had no solution but to annihilate them. ... You see that America supports Israel, but this is partly because it hates and fears Israel, since the [Jews] are corruptors. .. the holocausts of Jews in Germany were because of their own deeds.
"They were killing Germans, kindling civil strife, inciting the people against their rulers and corrupting the peoples. The German cities were bombed out from all directions, because of the Jews who were destroying countries... Observe the great similarities between Gaza and the German cities back then, even though Germany is a very large country. These people like to spread corruption, and when they can’t, they look for those who can, and encourage them to do it. ...
"These are the armies that Israel encouraged to corrupt and destroy the German army and country. See the rubble and the dead people on the ground. The world was dying - country and civilization was being annihilated. This is what the Jews did. The Germans were, of course, strong. When they realized that the Jews were behind all this, they took revenge on them. They were not weak, as Muslims are today. They had something different in mind.
"Let’s watch what Germany did to Israel – or rather, to the Jews – so we can understand that there is no remedy for these people, other than imposing fear and terror on them. There is one language that the Jews understand – the language of force." (Amin Al-Ansari. From From Jan. 27, 2009 (Holocaust remembrance day) speech)
to "They (Jews) try to kill all the principles of divine faiths with the same mentality of betraying Jesus and torturing him, and in the same way that they tried to commit treachery against Prophet Mohammad" (Syrian President Bashar Assad, speaking in the presence of Pope John Paul II. There was no reply form the Pope)
to "Yes, I am antisemite. Yes, I hate Zionism. Yes, judgment day will not come until we fight the Jews. ... By Allah, if they let us, we would devour you completely. And we would byte you with our teeth. ... we would catch you in the street and we would devour you with our teeth.
"Yes, we are your enemies, and we will continue to be your enemies until the day Jesus son of Mary descends, fighting you and calling to join Islam, the religion of the prophet Mohammed" (Safwat al-Higazi. From an address aired on Al-Nas TV on Jan. 25, 2009)
just one more lovely quote, "The Prophet Mohammad said, 'Were it not for the Israelites, meat would never rot.' It would never become putrid. Before Allah created the Israelites, people would not store food. ... When Allah created the Israelites, the most contemptible of whom are the Jews – may Allah punish them as they deserve...
"The Jews were the first to store food. They would store it until it became putrid, but wouldn’t give it to anyone. Stinginess and putrefaction are inherent in the Jews. They are putrid, rotten and filth" (Hassan Ali Abu Al-Ashbal. From lecture on Al-Nas TV on Nov. 28, 2008)
I can also direct you to videos which show some of them saying it. Such as:

where the cleric unsheathes a huge scimitar to cut off heads of Jews. Listen to him squeal like a pig in mad frenzy. Look at the spittle flying from his mouth. Listen to that crowd roar
My first trip to Israel was in 1997. The obsequiousness in front of anything Arab was nauseating. Huge doses of peace propaganda were everywhere. Kids were educated into love of Arab neighbors from the earliest age.
Radio Reka's second transmitter was taken over by Arabs, and they blared their stuff right over the waves, never responding to polite requests to stick to their own wavelength.
The tomb of prophet Samuel, holy to Christians, Jews and Muslims, was taken over by Muslims, only they had access to the tomb itself, everyone else had to pray on the roof.
I was there, I saw it with my own eyes.
The top of the Temple Mount, Judaism’s holiest place, is completely Muslim, anyone caught saying a Jewish prayer was rudely escorted down.
On Fridays Arabs gather at the top of the Temple Mount and often throw big rocks at Jews trying to pray below at the Western Wall; police would do nothing.
But then, when Moses Montefiore visited Jerusalem, he noticed that on Fridays Arabs gather at the top of the Mount and often throw big rocks at Jews trying to pray below at the Western Wall. That was back in 1833, under the Turks.
Why is all this going on in a Jewish state? This is what I mean by bending over backwards. This is just a little part of it, there is so much more and so much deeper.
"The thesis that the danger of genocide was hanging over us in June 1967 and that Israel was fighting for its physical existence is only bluff, which was born and developed after the war."
–Israeli General Matityahu Peled, Ha'aretz, 19 March 1972
@Kurtlane Fair enough, though I think the comparison is a little extreme, no? He is, after all, a General. He didn't walk into the IDF off the street and say: "Any openings for Generals?" He was put there...
"Everybody has to move, run and grab as many hilltops as they can to enlarge the settlements because everything we take now will stay ours . . . Everything we don't grab will go to them."
"We declare openly that the Arabs have no right to settle on even one centimeter of Eretz Israel . . . Force is all they do or ever will understand. We shall use the ultimate force until the Palestinians come crawling to us on all fours."
- Rafael Eitan, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces 1983
@rgs11, if youn read the Guardian, the "Der Sturmer of the modern left," then I can see where the bs is coming from.
You know about Der Sturmer, one of the main Nazi propaganda papers. Its editor Julius Streicher was found guilty of crimes against humanity at the Nuremberg War Crimes Trial and sentenced to death. He was hanged on Oct. 16, 1946.
Third of the quotes you've listed here show the humanity and the bend-over-backwards attutude of Israeli leaders (but you are too blind to see it). Another third are demonstrations of how bending backwards turns into backflips, where the person quoted demeans his own people (as in Yehoshofat Harkabi). And the last third: they merely show that Jews are human beings.
But I never said we were angels. We are human beings, and all I ask for is normal human rights, the same rights others take for granted. Beginning with then right to live,
Do you want me to respond with quotes from Arab leaders and preachers? Do you know what they say? I can do that.
@Kurtlane I know what to expect from Arabic leaders but I have much higher expectations from Israel. Honestly, I believe that some of the policies of Israel regarding Palestine constitute Israel's greatest existential threat - policies which "justify the cause" in the minds of Israel's enemy.
Please tell me what you believe to be the solution. Also, should Israel conquer the Middle East? The problems in the middle-east are more than just a threat to Israel; they threaten the whole world.
@rgs11, "I know what to expect from Arabic leaders but I have much higher expectations from Israel"
Thanks for being honest. So you admit that you are not objective, thart you have a double standard, that you do demand angelic behavior from Jews and allow anything to Arabs.
And that therefore you cannot objectively condemn crimes against humanity regardless of who is doing them.
@Kurtlane Honestly, you seem way too intelligent to make such a statement. I do condemn Palestinian crimes against humanity against Israel. Why can't you condemn Israel's? Yes, I do (and so should and do you) have higher expectations from one of the most civilized peoples on the face of the earth. That being said, Israel has a mighty army and is by no stretch of the imagination the underdog here. The Jews lived in peace in Palestine in 48. Be realistic... I know history... speak Truth...
@rgs11, I don't condemn Israel because I find nothing to condemn.
Decades ago, I have gone through period when I myself questioned Israeli policy. I'm glad I did it. This is how I came to conclusion that it's innocent of the libels usually leveled against it.
Yes, I once also criticized Israel. But when I questioned, I actually questioned. My questions had querstion marks. I also questioned my criticism.
So when it all started to backfire, I said, "Whoa! Something is wrong here." In other words, I was really looking for solution, instead of being in love with my criticism, and ultimately with myself. So the more it backfired, the more I realized that it just doesn't work and cannot work. A bit later I realized that it was not the "cycle of violence" at all, but the cycle of shadow that was running the whole thing - a very different animal that requires exact opposite solution.
I do condemn Israeli leaders from Rabin to Nethanyahu for corruption, for indifference to their own people, for sacrificing dignity for peace, for selling their own people to the wishes of American or European officials, for preferring Arabs to Jews (some Jews expelled from Gaza still live in tents, while Arabs of Um-el-Fahm are getting another city from Israeli government), for listening waaaaaaay too much to the world's opinon, and for utter spinelessness.
@rgs11, "Do not be overcome with evil but overcome evil with good and the WHOLE WIDE WORLD will defend you"
Do you really believe that? Do you know anything about Jewish history? Obviously not, or you woldn't say stuff like this.
Never mind Jewish history. Is the whole wide world defending Tibetans? Darfurians? Southern Sudanese? Biafrans? Did it defend Armenians when there was genocide there?
"I don't understand your optimism. Why should the Arabs make peace? If I was an Arab leader I would never make terms with Israel. That is natural: we have taken their country."
Israel has a right to defend itself but it doesn't have a right to commit war crimes or acts of terror. Kurtlane has dominated this page with propaganda so I'll simply paste a few quotes from Israel's own leaders.
"The Jews always considered that the land belonged to them, but in fact it belonged to the Arabs. I would go further: I would say the original source of this conflict lies with Israel, with the Jews – and you can quote me."
The largest group in Iranian-American community consists of secularized Muslims who ran away from Khomeini and his revolution. They have very good relations with the Jewish community, and are very proud of it.
A few years ago, at a concert of some Iranian star in Los Angeles, two Iranian Jews were beaten up by several young Iranian-Americans. Antisemitic slurs were heard.
The whole community was shocked. "What happened? Where did they learn this stuff?" But the they said, "Oh, they were university students. That's who taught them to hate Jews."
It's an old story. In pre-Nazi Germany, Nazis were particularly popular in universities. Among both students and professors. "New, interesting ideas."
Actually, very old ideas. "Jude verreck" ("Death to the Jews" German.) "Kutile al-Yahood" ("Kill the Jews." Arabic.)
Why Judea and Samaria are never referred to under these names? What is so sacrosanct about the phrase "West Bank?" Is the aknowledgement that long ago Jews lived there so dangerous?
Why Palestinian refugees have been the talk of the world for so long, but even larger numbers of Jewish refugees expelled from the Arab world are hardly ever mentioned?
Why what Fatah, Hamas and others do to their own people - after a 10-minute "trial" hanging them upside down in squares of cities, with their stomachs open, guts spilled out, lots of children watching all this - why is this all never mentioned?
Why is it never reported that Palestinians receive more per person monetary aid than anyone else in the world? And that there are 170 Palestinan refugees per 1 UN social worker, while in the rest of the world there are 4,000 refugees per 1 UN social worker?
Why is it never mentioned that despite all the violence they cause, Palestinians are the second healthiest, wealthiest, most educated Arabs in the Middle East/North Africa (after Israeli Arabs)?
Why is it never mentioned that majority of hospitals and universities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza were built by Israelis?
Why is it never mentioned that Palestinians are hated in the Arab world? For example, Saudi Emir Fadh's phrase, "Remember, after Jews we hate Palestinians the most!"
Why is it never mentioned how much Jews are hated in the Arab world and Iran? The popularity of Mein Kampf and Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Endless calls for extermination of Jews worldwide.
Why is the rising tide of Jew-hatred and violence all over the world almost totally ignored?
Why is Israel compared to apartheid South Africa or even Nazi Germany, yet not a single Muslim country gets such comparisons? After all, the situation in Sudan is far worse than in apartheid South Africa. And with all the Jew-hatred in the Arab world and Iran, comparison with Nazi Germany should be natural.
What does the media mean when it complains about hard lives of Israeli Arabs, without a single example, but darkly hinting that "Arabs cannot be equal in what is after all a Jewish state?"
Why is the responsibility for the Sabra and Shatila massacre placed on Israel and only on Israel, when the massacre was done by Lebanese falange group? Why does the media say that the massacre was perpetrated by Ariel Sharon, when in actuality it was led by Shubeika?
Why is the destruction of Hama, Syria, which happened at the same time as Sabra and Shatila and which killed 7,000 to 25,000 people was and still is ignored by the media?
Why with all the insanity going on in the Arab world, such as cutting of hands, feet and heads, stoning to death in Saudi Arabia and Iran, genocide, slavery, crucifixion in Sudan, Hamas introducing crucifixion in Gaza, Iran following suit, "honor" killings in every Arab country, all the emphasis is on Israel?
Why is Israel held to a totally superhuman standard, a standard no human can live up to, while Palestinians are held to a subhuman standard, when they are quickly forgiven everything they do to Jews, to Christians, or to each other?
Does the media see Jews as human at all, or only as "bad guys" in dramas media itself manufactures out of news?

"Several years ago, while visiting one of Germany’s universities, I was surprised to see an abundance of red and black flags hanging out of windows in student dorms. I was told that local communists and anarchists were celebrating... a successful terror attack in Tel Aviv." - Alexander Kabakov, Russian writer
I would not be surprised when killing of Jews starts in American and European universities. There is plenty of harassment and physical attacks already. There have already been wounded.
@Kurtlane I have good news for you. You can stop living your life in fear. You have a better chance of being struck by lightning than dying from an antisemitic hate-crime. Seriously, paranoia is a bad thing.
@Kurtlane What media are you talking about? Certainly not American media, right? The Jewish people are one of the most civilized peoples in the world. They have a mighty army. The Palestinians "army" (if you want to call it that) has sticks, stones, some Katuscha rockets and suicide bombers. Should we not condemn crimes against humanity regardless where they occur? I'm an American and I admit that my country has made, is making, mistakes. What do you say about the "break-the-bones" camp.?
@rgs11, history is full of examples of a seemingly weak and unimportant force overwhelming one considered much stronger, because the one considered stronger actually wasn't stronger, or looked down on its enemy and didn't appreciate it's strength, or had a lawyer and a pr man attached to every soldier. Israeli victory in the war for independence, destruction of the Spanish armada and America losing in Vietnam come to mind immediately, but there are plenty more examples.
Palestinians have succeeded in throwing Lebanon into a civil war. So they aren't that powerless.
A tank is a decoration if it's not used. One might as well hang it on a Christmas tree.
The International community has tied Israeli government's hands (yes, with acquiescence of Israel's own politicians). Tanks are not used. The consequence is that instead of a quick resolving war we have an endless slow bleeeding.
I think lots more people are dying through this bleeding than would die through a quick victorious war. But who wants to ask such questions?
The Powell doctrine - the disproportional response - surprising and overwhelming attack on the enemy to crush all his resolve - is by far the best way to fight wars. Otherwise, in a protracted war, both sides learn, but the weaker one learns faster. Everyone knows that. This is why they are tying Israel's hands - because they want it to lose.
Just now, the Obama administration has thrown away most of the pretence that "settlement" freeze has anything to do with negotiations and peace. "Settlements" are to be frozen for the sake of freezing them. Because Jews live there, and all sorts of powers hate Jews. It doesn't matter at all whether Obama himself does, what matters is that he listens to those who do.
I am sorry, you can call it paranoya all you want, but nothing else fits. And if no other explanation fits, then the only oner that does is the right one, no matter how undesirable.
@rgs11, without getting into specifics ("break-the-bones-camp"), I am not a leftist-liberal moralizer. Sometimes you do break the bones of the enemy. Sometimes you do torture. Sometimes you do make a horrible choice, because the alternative is even worse.
Biased leftist moralizing and do-gooding has already led us down a very dark path, into 21st century war, where one side is so peace-driven that it doesn't even acknowledge that it's a war, and the other uses double-standard, permitting absolutely everything for themselves (including head-cutting and disembowelment), while holding the enemy to a superhuman standard, while the leftists and the media are "shoulder-to-shoulder" with the second side.
I believe that it is very dangerous to keeps within the morality box and ignore reality when it stares one in the face. It is precisely this that turns the morality box into a coffin.
Boston Globe, H.D.S. Greenway op-ed, 9/7/10: Arafat finally died, holed up in a bunker under Israeli siege.
Actually, Arafat died in a French hospital.
Read article "Gaza buried in flour" Very interesting article, which also tells how "news" work. This is the only case I know when clearly false and easy to disprove propaganda stuff printed every day in the Arab media has made it to the West. Call it "the smoking gun" for media lies.

Though the supposed death of Mohammed al-Dura was filmed for French TV, it made tremendous noise all over the world, including the U.S. It was one of the noisiest stories in the U.S. for the past 30 years. When doubts about it appeared, only the Atlantic magazine had an article about it.
All recent "Israeli atrocities": Murder of Mohammed al-Dura's, Jenin massacre, family on the beach, Rachel Corrie protecting a house, mother and four children at Beit Hanoun, shelling of the UNRWA school, killing of Mahmood Mashharawi - all have proven not what they seem. All full or partial lies and propaganda.
How can anyone believe journalists when they and their organizations are regularly threatened by Hamas, Fatah, Hezbollah, etc? How can anyone believe them when they are such total supporters for the Palestinian cause?
Case 1: Fayad Abu Shamala is both Gaza correspondent for the BBC Arabic Language Service since 1996 and a Hamas member. He told a Hamas rally on May 6, 2001 that "journalists and media organizations [are] waging the campaign shoulder-to-shoulder together with the Palestinian people." The BBC tried to hush-hush the whole thing.
Case 2: Muhammad Asghar, first Muslim in the Welsh Assembly, invited Israel's Ambassador to Britain Ron Prosor to Cardiff, Wales, saying, "For all my life I've been listening to one side of the facts all of the time. And I thought, in my position in the assembly, it's about time to know the other side of the fence, also. I think there won't be a better person than the Israeli ambassador to tell me the views of Israelis in this whole conflict."
Muhammad Asghar is acknowledging an obvious truth: the entire media is presenting only one side of the facts all of the time - the Palestinian side. If one wants to hear the Israeli side, one needs to invite Israel's ambassador.
Case 3: Google article "Gaza buried in flour." Very interesting article, which also tells how "news" work. This is the only case I know when clearly false and easy to disprove propaganda stuff printed every day in the Arab media has made it to the West. Call it "the smoking gun" for media lies.
Case 4: Octavia Nasr, CNN Middle East correspondent, printed on twitter in July 2010: "Sad to hear of the passing of Said Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah. One of Hezbollah's giants I respect a lot"
Can you imagine a Western correspondent mourning the passage of Himmler, Eichman or Goebbels and calling him a Nazi giant?
You can also ask yourself: Why was the Mohammed al-Dura case shown with such tremendous intencity and ferrocity and for so long, but when it turned out to be a fake, that was hardly reported?
Why the family on the beach in Gaza that was reported killed by an Israeli shell was similarly shown with noise and intensity, but when it turned out to be a mine Palestinians had placed, that was utterly ignored?
Why was "massacre in Jenin" also trumpeted and drummed, but when in just a few days it was shown to be a non-massacre, it was reported only briefly and in such a vague way, it was hardly clear what happened?
Why are dead Jews reported only as "dead Israelis," while dead Palestinians have names, ages, relatives, interests, professions, etc?
Why all violence caused by Palestinians described as "violence erupts," "bus blows up," etc, as if there are no people causing it, while in all violence caused by Israelis the blame is clearly placed on Israel?
Why was an NPR reporter who tried to tell about the soccer match Gazans had with the head of an Israeli man they had cut off in 2004 immediately interrupted by an anchorwoman?
Why was the murder, mutilation, disembowlment and dancing with hearts and guts of two Jews in Ramallah in 2001 hardly reported, and even when reported, done in such a way that it was totally unclear what had happened?
Why was the walkout of Turkish president from a forum in Davos in 2009 in response to Shimon Peres’s speech shown all over, but not a single line from the speech itself? If shown, this speech would've resolved many questions and made lots of things clear.
Why Israelis who live beyond the "green line" routinely labled as "settlers," while Americans living in California are not? After all, California once belonged to Mexico. For that fact, all of America once belonged to Indians.
Why does the media talk about "traditionally Arab East Jerusalem," when this "tradition" existed for only 19 years of Jordanian rule. Only 19 years in the history of one of the most ancient cities in the world.
Why was the place, acknowledged by all Christians, Jews and Muslims as the Joseph's tomb relabled by the media into "a tomb of some Muslim sheikh, according to [unnamed] archeologists" exactly when Palestinian mob destroyed the tomb in 2000, thus somehow justifying its destruction, and shortly afterwards again became Joseph's tomb, but now under Palestinian Muslim control?
Why Ariel Sharon and Avigdor Liberman are routinely described as "extremists," hardliners" and "ultraconcervatives," but Mahmoud Abbas and others who never distanced themselves from promises to exterminate entire Israeli Jewish population are called "moderates?"
Why is the Temple Mount regularly called "the 3rd holiest place in Islam" (which it is), but never "the 1st holiest place in Judaism," which it also is?
I believe that America CAN do just about anything but there are some things it shouldn't do. We SHOULDN'T engage in wars that damage national security and world-standing. We SHOULDN'T sacrifice our freedoms to fight terrorists who "hate us for our freedoms" and we SHOULDN'T spend our kids inheritance to do it.
Now that, hopefully, Superfifthwheel is gone, let me repeat that Steven Emerson is right and Michael Sheuer is a sellout to the enemy.
And Israel has been turning the other cheek till it spins and turning over backwards to the point of doing summersaults trying to accommodate growing Arab demands. For about 18 years.
How do I know? I've been there. I've seen it with my own eyes.
@Kurtlane "Israel been turning the other cheek"? Of course this is historically inaccurate, incredulous and really deserves no response for anyone with even the feeblest grasp on history. If you really believe this, you owe it to yourself to research the record; you will be surprised. It is one thing to say that Israel must use grossly disproportionate force for existential reasons but to say that Israel has "turned the other cheek" is untenable.
@rgs11, yes, Israel has been turning the other cheek throughout the last 60+ years.
But particularly since the "peace process." began in 1992.
I've been watching this "peace process" since that time. I have good memory. I have read plenty of stuff, and I have visited Israel myself. I saw what I saw. It was and continues to turn the other cheek till it spins, and bend over backwards till it does somersaults.
You don't know and I won't tell you how far has Israel gone licking that Arab ass. It's shameful and disgusting.
Just now, Jews living in the eastern part of the country are forbidden from building houses, kindergardens, schools, etc. Why? Because that's what Hillary Clinton says.
Arabs can build whatever they want. A small Arab group that has illegally squatted in Jerusalem for over 20 years and whose case was turned down even by the leftist Israeli Supreme Court continues their squatting. Why? Because that's what Hillary Clinton says.
Jewish farmers are forced out by Arabs and Bedouins. Forced out by cutting their trees, ruining their crops, throwing rocks, beatings, gunfire, occasional murders. Anythign goes. And the Israeli police under instructions from above are siding with the Arabs and Bedouins.
Americans in Afghanistan bomb villages from high altitude because these are "enemy villages."
Israeli military identifies specific targets and tries its damnest not to kill civilians, even when Hamas and Fatah and the rest try their damnest to get their own civilians killed. There is no talk of "enemy villages."
While Arabs disembowel Jews and dance with their entrails.
But of course you don't know any of this, because the media doesn't tell it.
"Journalists and media organizations [are] waging the campaign shoulder-to-shoulder together with the Palestinian people." These are not my words, this is Fayad Abu Shamala, who is both Senior Gaza correspondent for the BBC and a Hamas member. He said this at a Hamas rally on May 6, 2001.
And historians and the academia are even more "shoulder-to-shoulder."
As for "disproportional response," when was a war ever fought proportionally? The goal of any war is to crush the enemy, to make his will to keep fighting evaporate completely. In 1992 Gulf War, disproportionate fighting was called "Powell doctrine" (after Defense Secretary Colin Powell). No one complained about American disproportional response to Saddam's conquest of Kuwait.
What would a proportional response in a war be? "We''ve killed your soldiers, now come and kill the same number of yours?" Only when Israel is concerned do all rules of behavior and nature get thrown out the window and every accusation, no matter how ridiculous, gets thrown in.
Moreover, when Arabs disemboweled two Jews in Ramallah and danced with their hearts and guts, what should be a proportional response? Disembowel two Arabs and dance with their hearts and guts?
What is the proportional response to cutting off a Jewish man's head and playing soccer with it? Soccer with Arab man's head?
What is the proportional response when a bomb blows off two little Jewish children's heads and the heads roll into traffic? Cutting off Arab children's heads and throwing them into traffic?
What is the proportional response to thousands of missiles launched into Israel (targeting almost exclusively civilians) by Hamas and Hezbollah? Launching thousands of civilian-targeting missiles back?
Israel didn't do any of this. So yes, Israeli response is disproportionate. The other way.
They (all who are shoulder-to-shoulder with Hamas) have done a good job on you. They have concealed, they have lied, twisted, perverted, you name it. All to convince you that Jews are not human beings and have no right to live.
@Kurtlane You're not acknowledging the facts and writing what amounts to propaganda. Israel's own leaders, in their own words disagree with you. You may have been watching media coverage of the "peace process" but you obviously haven't done any real research.
"We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting off of all social services to rid the Galilee of it's Arab population."
The issue is that Israel disobeys international law and dispenses with it whenever they can. However, Israel expects all of its neighbors and the world to obey such laws. Its a double standard!
@Kurtlane Hate stems from what you do to other people. Please visit an Arab country once in your life and you may realize that America and its "so-called" Ally Israel terrorize them more than Arab rulers or governments do. They dont give a shit about your freedoms or democracy. They just want America to get the hell out of their affairs and off of their land. Arabs have every right to defend their nations as well you peo-israeli racist!
Here is a quote from a Lebanese intellectual (I withhold his name so as not to get him into trouble): "It is ridiculous that we call America a dictatorship because of Abu Ghuraib. In the Arab world, there are 100,000 Abu Ghuraibs, which the rulers use against their own peoples.”
Saddam Hussein killed between 1 and 6 million of his own people. Other leaders are the same or almost as bad.
Christians are persecuted all over the Middle East. In Egypt alone, 2 massacres just this year.
Even the dead are not left in peace:
Muslim Palestinians Desecrate Christian Graves
watch?v=XP9BazI-_js
There is a genocide going on now in Darfur, Sudan. This is already second genocide, the first took place a few years earlier. In that, 2 million people were killed and 2 million more - enslaved. It is pure racism, with Arabs slaughtering and enslaving blacks.
Genocides, mass slaughter, massacres, murder upon murder, disembowelment, quartering, cutting off heads, returning babies to their mothers fried to a crisp on a bed of rice (on Iraq), convincing young women to become suicide bombers, then publically denouncing them and getting the credit (Iraq),
little orphan children starving to death while adults who are supposed to feed them have meals in the next room (also Iraq, American soldiers saved those children).
Just like in that proverb: "The belief in ghosts, demons, Satan and the source of evil is not necessary; Muslims alone are quite capable of every wickedness."
@Kurtlane cont. Also, "little orphan children starving to death while adults who are supposed to feed them have meals in the next room (also Iraq, American soldiers saved those children)." (Kurtlane/Youtube.com) -What do you think American and Israeli sanctions do? SANCTIONS KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE! HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS! But that must be okay in your mind as long as you can blame Arabs for their tyranny that kills far less right? You are under a dillusion that you are a moral person.
@Kurtlane No, sanctions that were placed on both Iraq and now Iran by America and Israel that killed hundreds of thousands. Gaza is sanctioned by Israel everyday....hence the Flotilla raid and recurring occupatiuons. Under international law Israel has been charged several times for illegal blockades (sanctions) on Gaza and the west bank. Please read the Goldstone report/ Human rights watch/Amnesty international/The U.N. resolution 242/ and the 4th article of the Geneva convention)
@Kurtlane Cont. "Christians are persecuted all over the Middle East. In Egypt alone, 2 massacres just this year." (Kurtlane/Youtube.com) 9 Turkish and American citizens massacred by Israel aboard the Gaza relief flotilla, 1412 innocent Palestinians Massacred by Israel in 2008 Gaza Masacre (Amnesty International Press/2008). Over 500,000 Iraqi Citizens killed by U.S. forces in the invasion of Iraq (NY Times/2004) Over 100,000 Iraqis diplaced to Lebanon during the war.
@Kurtlane Lets keep talking about how moral and just America is. Lets talk about Cambodia shall we? Every person with a brain is capable of making ethical decisions knows just how far America will go to dominate any region by attacking neutral countries without declaring war. Lets talk about the hundreds of thousands of innocent people that were killed in Cambodia. Or Hiroshima shall we? You sir can not defend what is undefendable.
@Kurtlane Im not anti american at all. Actually I am a patriot. I just care more about American security than you. I served in the U.S. military and just know you have israeli biased veiws. I dont think we need to be helping Israel or Saudi over there period. We really have no buisness anywhere but the homeland. I lived in South Korea btw. And people blindly supporting Israel is dangerous.
@Kurtlane Yes Cambodia. We were not at war with them, Kissenger was at war with them. I dont HAVE to agree with my government btw, its called intellectual diversity. Without it we would all think the same. Just becasue America stands for freedom, doesnt mean that it is not capable of terrible things. The faster people like you learn that, the safer America will become.
As Michael Scheuer says, the radical Islamists don't attack us because we allow women in the work-place, but because we wage wars and support tyrannies in their countries.

Kurtlane 1 year ago
@Kurtlane I know what to expect from Arabic leaders but I have much higher expectations from Israel. Honestly, I believe that some of the policies of Israel regarding Palestine constitute Israel's greatest existential threat - policies which "justify the cause" in the minds of Israel's enemy.
Please tell me what you believe to be the solution. Also, should Israel conquer the Middle East? The problems in the middle-east are more than just a threat to Israel; they threaten the whole world.
rgs11 1 year ago
@rgs11, "I know what to expect from Arabic leaders but I have much higher expectations from Israel"
Thanks for being honest. So you admit that you are not objective, thart you have a double standard, that you do demand angelic behavior from Jews and allow anything to Arabs.
And that therefore you cannot objectively condemn crimes against humanity regardless of who is doing them.
Now, please reexamine your attitude.
Kurtlane 1 year ago
@Kurtlane Honestly, you seem way too intelligent to make such a statement. I do condemn Palestinian crimes against humanity against Israel. Why can't you condemn Israel's? Yes, I do (and so should and do you) have higher expectations from one of the most civilized peoples on the face of the earth. That being said, Israel has a mighty army and is by no stretch of the imagination the underdog here. The Jews lived in peace in Palestine in 48. Be realistic... I know history... speak Truth...
rgs11 1 year ago
@rgs11, I don't condemn Israel because I find nothing to condemn.
Decades ago, I have gone through period when I myself questioned Israeli policy. I'm glad I did it. This is how I came to conclusion that it's innocent of the libels usually leveled against it.
Yes, I once also criticized Israel. But when I questioned, I actually questioned. My questions had querstion marks. I also questioned my criticism.
(cont.)
Kurtlane 1 year ago
So when it all started to backfire, I said, "Whoa! Something is wrong here." In other words, I was really looking for solution, instead of being in love with my criticism, and ultimately with myself. So the more it backfired, the more I realized that it just doesn't work and cannot work. A bit later I realized that it was not the "cycle of violence" at all, but the cycle of shadow that was running the whole thing - a very different animal that requires exact opposite solution.
(cont.)
Kurtlane 1 year ago
I do condemn Israeli leaders from Rabin to Nethanyahu for corruption, for indifference to their own people, for sacrificing dignity for peace, for selling their own people to the wishes of American or European officials, for preferring Arabs to Jews (some Jews expelled from Gaza still live in tents, while Arabs of Um-el-Fahm are getting another city from Israeli government), for listening waaaaaaay too much to the world's opinon, and for utter spinelessness.
(cont.)

It's even worse in the academia.
"Several years ago, while visiting one of Germany’s universities, I was surprised to see an abundance of red and black flags hanging out of windows in student dorms. rgs11 1 year ago
What do you say about the "break-the-bones" camp.?
rgs11 1 year ago

@rgs11, without getting into specifics ("break-the-bones-camp"), I am not a leftist-liberal moralizer. Sometimes you do break the bones of the enemy. Sometimes you do torture. Sometimes you do make a horrible choice, because the alternative is even worse.
(cont.)
Kurtlane 1 year ago
Biased leftist moralizing and do-gooding has already led us down a very dark path, into 21st century war, where one side is so peace-driven that it doesn't even acknowledge that it's a war, and the other uses double-standard, permitting absolutely everything for themselves (including head-cutting and disembowelment), while holding the enemy to a superhuman standard, while the leftists and the media are "shoulder-to-shoulder" with the second side.

I believe that it is very dangerous to keeps within the morality box and ignore reality when it stares one in the face. It is precisely this that turns the morality box into a coffin.

(cont.)
Kurtlane 1 year ago
What would a proportional response in a war be? "We''ve killed your soldiers, now come and kill the same number of yours?" Only when Israel is concerned do all rules of behavior and nature get thrown out the window and every accusation, no matter how ridiculous, gets thrown in.
Moreover, when Arabs disemboweled two Jews in Ramallah and danced with their hearts and guts, what should be a proportional response? Disembowel two Arabs and dance with their hearts and guts?
