  • OMG! Good sense of humor but does not have a clue how to make this dish at all. She is using steamed rice!! This is Itallian not Chineese food. It is supposed to be made with left over risotto or fresh. All in all....pretty tacky...or as we say in Canada...tres formage...(very cheesy) LOL...

  • @ThePaullett ~ The rice was cooked in a rice cooker, but you can use a pot and boil the rice too. You are correct. This is an Italian recipe. It was taught to me by an old Italian woman named Margarita. The only thing I did different from her was to use panko breadcrumbs instead of cracker crumbs because the panko is more cruncy. Only one mistake I made: before making the rice into ball shapes, I should have put the pot of rice in the refrigerator for an hour to cool. It makes it easier.

    Actually it was the rice and not the Italian that attracted me to the recipe. I was serious when I referred to "our regular ordinary rice". The recipe sounded good and it tasted even better than what I was expecting. PS your format beats TV by a mile. Can pause to write the ingredients, play back etc. I am looking forward to my next try at one of your recipes.

  • 1) You can cook naked, I do it all the time. In fact, to be a truely good cook, cooking naked just shows off your skill. 2) Italian rice balls are round like a beach ball, not cylindrical like nigiri. 3) If you add meat deli meats are nice, if your adding stuff like pork or beef or chicken, it's best if shredded and wrap the rest of the filling and rice around it then bread and fry it. You can also bake them at 400 for 20 minutes a side for healthier alternatives to your Arancini. decent vid tho

  • @paulnkiki I think you can add some meat, sure! It won't be the same flavour, but It will still be yummy! My recipes aren't "carved in stone", even I never make things the same every time. A good cook loves to experiment.
