If you just touch the ground without touching the electrode, will you get a shock in arc welding? I tried MIG (GMAW) and I could touch the ground without any shock, but is it the same with arc welding(SMAW)?
@colcreampuff um. your an idiot. grounding means touching anything metal or not being insulated from the ground you are stepping on. when you weld I'm positive you have rubber shoes that keep you INSULATED from the ground. don't touch the the tip of the electric weld if you are bare foot or in contact with a metal object.
