  • Nice video Phil, thanks for sharing.

  • No problem, glad you enjoyed it.

  • You were right! These are amazing to watch. And the story with the first one makes it even more special. I wish I could find engines like that. Thanks, DAH.

  • I love the noise. ticketty-ticketty-boggler-boggler-ticketty-ticketty~

  • They are fantastic things to stand next too, I stood there for about an hour just listening!

  • are those camshafts at 1.50 running dry??

  • no, they were oiloed before starting, they do not need much.

  • are those camshafts running dry??

  • How big a project was that first National engine?

  • I don't think it was too difficult, once the engine was recovered (that would have been a fair task) it shouldn't have been to bad to get going, what with using low tension ignition. LT magneto's rarely stop working because they only have one coil winding as oposed to two, it's much thicker than in an HT mag' so doesn't really rot.

The people at the museum know their stuff and I bet it didn't take them long to get the old girl running again!

    Phill.

  • Nice engines.

Great video. Make fun to watch.

  • Thanks for these great videos you`ve uploaded !!

  • No problem, the video's really don't do justice to the museum, it's amazing!
