  • a person can become suicidal after suffering for so long. You begin to feel there is no other alternative, and crazy thoughts race through your mind.....about death and you wish you had no family because the sorrow and devastation your suicide would bring onto them....that is how it feels to suffer....

  • @Telefunken47 the case with me ;(

  • I stopped watching because the way she said "migraine " was pissing me off haha, but I do feel for people who suffer from this. I get horrible horrible headaches and they've been getting less frequent but more severe. Don't know what's going on there but it's been like that for all my life. I have ocular migraines and I used to get maybe 3-4 a day. Don't know how ocular migraines stack up compared to cluster migraines but I know they're horrible

  • I suffer from this.

    God help me.

  • Try more magnesium in your diet (nuts, whole grains, green veggies) Eliminate processed meats, smoked meats and caffeine intake. Smoking and alcohol beverages. I suffer from CH! I know the pain! I've been doing a lot of studying on cluster headaches. Hopefully this may help you. Google: diet for cluster headaches. Good luck to you!!!!!!

  • I'm 14 and a male and i get these really bad headaches that are always on either my left or right eye (not like i have a 3rd eye i just wanted to clarify lol) and its is really bad pain but its more like a needle stabbing at my eye (around the upper lid of it) and it is random. i usually get like 3 a month or non for 2 and then i got them again. I have learned to just stick it out but i wasn't sure if what i have is actually "cluster headaches". Could maybe someone clarify this for me? Thanks

  • im 16 years old with high blood pressure is that y i have cluster headaches??

  • I wish I had no experience with which to comment. I have around 5-8 minutes to get away from people once I know one is coming on. To the outsider looking in it's an awful sight to see & to know they are helpless. For the insider looking out......I never wanted you to see me this way, I shut the door & lock it until it's over... It's like the whole world seeing you at your most agonizing, Painful & weakest moment....I haven't been the same since my first one.

  • i think im beginnin to have it,its been three days in row. i get headaches on my left side, also pains in my left eye, left forhead and my left upper cheek bone, it always happens in the afternoons which lasts about 3 hours, and it sucks because its so painful, especially when i try to pick something up, all that pressure just makes my left side of head and face throb! more painful!..hope i dont have it..i think it could be nasal headache or infection, but i hope its not this!!.. :\

  • I have been suffering from cluster headaches since my final year of university (I am 38 now). Even though i explained the periodic symptoms and the cluster episodes I was told it was migraine and I've been taking migraine medication with little success. Thanks to a podcast episode of "How migraines works" I realized what I had been suffering was not migraines but Cluster Headaches! Now hopefully I can find alternate medication that may actually work!

Thanks everyone for your remedy suggestions

  • There is no cure for this, it ruined my career working, ended up on disability and cuttin corners to make money. It ruined my life..take cafergot just to leave house on weekends sometimes.

  • I haven't seen a post about this so I figured I'd say something. I know this sounds ridiculous, but google lsd cure cluster headaches. The LSD they give you is non-hallucinogenic, and in trials it has shown to help patients. Please don't disregard this as false, google it. Just wanted to share this promising research for this terrible condition.

  • Cluster headache causes severe, usually unilateral, pain felt in the region of the eye and forehead associated with lacrimation, conjunctival injection and occasionally transient Horner's syndrome.

Attacks are more common at night, often waking sufferers at the onset of REM sleep.

Oxygen and triptans may arrest attacks.

Prophylaxis with propranolol, pizotifen, and especially verapamil may prevent further episodes

  • Unless you have this, you have absolutely nothing to complain about.

  • @MartenThuren that's dumb to say, what if you were getting punched in the face, would you just sit there and think "Well atleast i don't have cluster headaches!" or dieing slowly of cancer "welp, atleast i don't have cluster headaches.", lol.

  • @MartenThuren as much sympathy I have for clusterheads, what you just said is extremely selfish.

So, just because there is SOMEONE out there, who has it worse than me, I'm not allowed to complain about things that I experience as bad? In that case, nobody would ever complain. Ever.

  • I get the odd migraine but her discription of waking out of sleep and not being able to stay still sounds like my last one. All I could do was go outside and pace up and down the drive for about an hour. Wanted to pluck my right eye out.

  • please find a cure!!!!!

  • I wasn't sure about the condition i'm suffering.. But i was sure that the symptoms of cluster headache is what I've experienced 2 yrs ago when i was 13 years of age. a sophomore.. It wasn't that bad.. but i felt like a barbecue stick was at my right eye.. and its like being pulled and pushed again and again.. it lasted about half a day. It started when i woke up. I told you i wasn't that bad..compare to the other person who experience cluster headache. so i can still do my studies...

  • My attack is every 2 years and no sweat cannot miss my schedule of agony. I sometimes wanted to get a gun and shoot my head to stop the pain. my CH can be 3 - 5 hours of pain in hell.

  • I have suffered from cluster headaches for 14 years. I use Imitrex injections at on set and it normally takes the pain away within 5 minutes. your only suppose to take 2 shots in a 24 hr period. I have taken well over 2 shots because I cant stand the pain and I know by taking a simple shot, the pain will be gone!

the last 2 cluster cycles I have had, I have received a "never block" . its wonderful!! worked very well for me! I recommend to anyone with cluster headaches!!

  • With me it started when I was 16 years old. At tat time there was little known about CH. When I was 29, I

got emigran and was so relieved. Before I suffered from these terrible headaches without any medication that really worked.

I am 41 years old now and I do get them every year. It is very hard to explain how terrible the pain is to somebody who has'nt had them. But it is true that ones they have seen it, there really shocked.

I only suffer from episodic CH. Chronic CH must be Hell
