He's a cyclist ehhh I bet in another "expert" video he would be slaying lions in a thong CACACACCCCACACACA :-(

  • where can i buy the bike stand/holder i need one thanks.

  • Shit, he is breathless just washing the thing, what would happen if he rode it?

  • Thanks mate. Appreciate the effort. 45k hits - v impressive!

  • I hope to continue biking when I reach his age. Respect. :)

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I appreciate the help. It's great to have soething like this for a novice like me!

  • who IS this fuck?

  • dont be afraid to put lots of gooooooooooood sudsy water on your bike. :D

  • the people who talk about water on the bike obviously never ride in rain or on wet roads

  • This guy must have nightmares about road grit.

  • Riding a bike for a long time causes chafing. Tight clothes that don't move around or rub against skin (because it is loose) prevents skin irritation and rashes. That is why bike clothes are like that. This only happens on longer rides, I would not suit up if I was biking to the grocer's.

  • this is very true. when i ride i wear skin tight, padded cycling shorts for this reason. to save the dignity of me abd others however, i wear 3/4 length o'niel board shorts on top.

  • "Nothing says love like giving your bike a good bath". He's a funny guy.

  • I would never clean my bike that. Water causes rust and rust is the worst thing you want on a road bike

  • @cycledellic86 what is the batter way then?

  • @handsomelok a damp cloth and windex works fine for me and i do that at least once a week. It really depends on how much you ride and the terrain you ride.

  • helpfull videoo, and yea shame on the people who posted rude commentss

  • dude hes like panting the whole entire time

  • if this video had a hot half naked chick rubbing the bike down bending over...this video would have lots of views lolol

  • OK. This has nothing to do with the topic. But, PLEASE, why the HECK do fat, middle aged and older guys have to wear skin tight spandex? Really, bud, no one wants to see your body, okay?

  • @drexelur1 Dude, you need to relax a little. You're taking life a little too seriously. You know, you're going to cause yourself heart problems if you let the simple things, like other peoples appearances, bother you.

  • very helpful video and shame on all of you who posted rude messages

  • @paldil2007 Couldn't agree more. Great videos, very instructional.

  • rofl

  • My bearings are sealed anyway but still I would never clean my bike like this.

  • i think he spends more time cleaning then riding

  • fuck you everytime my bike get dirty i sand blast it and u know what, my bearings are lubricated with sand.

  • i would like to see any of u haters with a eight pack when your 70 yrs old

  • get this guy some oxygen

  • hehe

  • If I were him I'ld quit smoking first and than worry about a few stains on my bike.

  • Dude has clearly never ridden a bike in his life! Why is he so winded!?

Also I would not be spraying water all over my drivetrain like that!!!!!

  • possibly he is nervous, or he maybe has some sort of health issue (asthma etc). I find talking to project my voice requirs me to breathe in a heavy manner.

  • I'd wear gloves doing that.

  • Bike through a river to clean if off. that usually works preety well and its more fun as long as you don't get water in the bearing

  • i wouldnt be surprised if his bottom bracket was filled with soapy water after that

  • he sounds like he ran to death!!!!

  • man hes hot!!!!!

  • i think this guy washes his bike more often than he rides it... took at those sexy sexy thighs! They have power and stamina written all over them.... Or perhaps the power and stamina are stored in the "joe" above, waiting to decend

  • someone get this guy on a respirator quick

  • look like a freaking clown walking around in lycra and cycling jersey. also, the guy sounds like he's about to die.

  • He probably has lots more in common with cycling than you ever will, "cool guy".

  • looks like you need grit on your gut.

  • 0_0 hmmm

  • "Everyone knows A clean Bike Goes Faster".

Apparently washing your bike is better than having a carbon fiber frame and dura ace components. ANd its like 1/1000 of the price!

  • It is impossible to watch this video without

    1) laughing or;

    2) feeling awkward.

I tried, but its damn near impossible

  • Whoa - dude is out of breath washing his bike. Looking at the "Joe" he has hanging over his pants I don't think he's been doing much riding lately.

  • Someone please tell me....why is he washing his bike dressed for a ride? I'd be in loose fitting shorts and a t-shirt...It just has to be more comfortable. :-)

  • This is the creepiest video I have ever seen; the old man with tight bicycle suits talking about the "love" of washing bicycle with creepy voice, and he keeps saying "don't be scared to 'get in there'"

I need to learn how to wash a bike, but I just couldn't finish watching this.

  • i am totally laughing my ass off with your comment. I thought i was the only one that found him a bit weird.

  • fuckng hilarious!

  • does the bike clothing make him wash faster?

  • LOL

  • @vollick8 lol

  • @vollick8 Yes.

  • And now he doesn't kown how to put the wheels again...

    xD

BTW why do you have blue tires???

  • to fit his bike o.o

  • Makes brighter skid marks.

  • ha ha holy fuck, last time i saw a pair of legs like that they were hanging out of a nest !!! great advert for weight control through cycling !!

  • it doesnt look like he uses his bike a lot

  • Thanks!

  • Hey ENGLISHBLOKE, quality humour. Makes a change from the infantile rubbish you see day in day out on youtube.

  • WD40 is a kerosene product wich erodes moving metalparts such as the chain and gears very fast. In fact it is used as help to faster grind down metal in the industry. Before i knew this, i used WD40 for lubricating the bike and it felt very smooth and nice. But it totally destroyed everything, and i had to change the crankbox, casette and the chain. WD40 should only be used to loosen rusty bolts and similar, but be carefull thus it gets in everywhere. NEVER use it as lubricant !

  • yes, why not wd40

  • why he's cleaning clean bike?

  • no do not use wd40 or hd60

you sould use BIO Degreaser for your bike and chain lubricate both from schwinn chain care kit come with BIO DEGRREASER AND CHAIN LUBRICATE AND BRUSH TO FOR ONLY$ 24.99 IF YOUR IN CANADA YOU CAN BUY IT AT ANY CANADA TIRE . I GET THIS KIT IT WORK THE BEST .

  • why not wd40? it works for me and it's cheap and multi-purpose.

  • His breaths are worst then the hulks breaths!

  • hahaha you made my day

  • He should be more worried about his unborn child than how clean his bike is.

Should a man that heavily pregnant even be riding a bike!?

  • I happen to favor GoJo or other brands of "white creme" grit-free mechanics' hand cleaner. Slather, brush, rinse. Even the chain can be cleaned this way. Dry the bike ASAP and watch out for places where water WILL get into your bike frame: eventually harmful, especially to old, steel framed bikes. My opinions are just that. Go Jo: wonderful stuff for a thousand different jobs.

  • Nice Shorts

    XD

  • he's an older fella cut him some slack GEEZ

  • May be you should ride more and clean less

  • Try not to be an ass hole.

  • What are you talking about those are his abs!

  • Wow its was all good till he took his wheels of pretty pointless!!

  • umm, it was for the brake pads

  • Really interesting to see how different people wash their bikes differently.!! thx could you do one for carbon bikes???!!!

  • Hey dude... great video!!!

I will wash my bike right now!!

    Cheers from Brazil.

  • He sounds out of breathe

  • He just did a sprint to get there in time for filming

  • hehehe maybe he is tired of washing his bike

  • wow he is winded

  • WHY is it that most people who posts comments can be so insensitive, and mean spirited towards someone who is trying to help others for no other reason than being a helpful? What he is wearing, too old to play in the mud, cleaning is for sissies, ect. What the fuck is wrong with you people. Can't you say what I nice guy for taking the time to give us some ideas and solutions. Unreal. I wish more people had such a pleasant demeanour. As to all you sour puss idiots out there FUCK OFF form me to U

  • Agreed!

  • @akakkadak The internet is a cruel world.

  • @akakkadak he basically just explained to me how to wash a bike by using soap and water. my anus could make a better tutorial that this one.

When iron corrodes the color changes and it actually expands. This expanding and color change can produce large red flakes that we all know as rust. Unlike aluminum oxide, the expanding and flaking off of rust exposes new metal to further rusting. This why it is so important to provide a barrier so rust doesn't start.

  • Nice job man. I recently bought a road bike and I am planning on keeping it well maintained.

  • Aluminum it does rust. Of course it takes longer than Chromo , steel and other materials. The aluminum will get something like a gray layer on it.

  • Aluminum corrodes but it does not rust. Rust refers only to iron and steel corrosion.

Aluminum is actually very prone to corrosion. However, aluminum corrosion is aluminum oxide, a very hard material that actually protects the aluminum from further corrosion. Aluminum oxide corrosion also looks a lot more like aluminum, so it isn't as easy to notice as rusted iron

  • thats what i thought.

look at my biking vid and see why u need to wash a bike.especially after it wont shift gears because its dirty

  • Just kidding. Nice job fella :)

  • I wonder if he actually rides his bikes. He must be the most out of shape looking cyclist i've ever seen :)

  • hahahahahaha that is funny !

  • ive got an aluminum frame on my bike. its a low-end bike. nothing expensive. anyone got any tips on how i should clean it and avoid rusting???

  • Aluminum dosen't rust... thats one of the benefits of a aluminum frame. But if you wanna clean it i would just recomend takeing a couple rags and wipeing the dirt and extra grease off. I wouldn't wash it with a hose because water can get in your wheel hubs, crank, etc.

  • ok thanks!!! :)

  • why is he breathing so hard

  • I wanna be as fit as you

  • at least when i get to be as old as him

  • Wow expert village is actually wrong this time! If you give your bike a good soapy bath the paint will fall off easyer then there will appear rust. You can do this only on carbon frames! Otherwise you'll get your frame rusted!

  • Ya I agree I don't think this fellow mentioned that if you have a scratch or chip in the paint, that is obviously going to expose the surface. This will lead to corrosion. Here's a good trick- if you have a scratch and you are going out in some weather, smear a nice line of vaseline on the tube where the scratch is located. That will protect it at least for the time being.

  • Dude.. Nice video.. I have gotten on my 20 year old MTB after years of it sitting in the garage just last week. And today I was thinking about cleaning it. I'm off to get a soft brush. :)

I hope I am as fit as you when I am your age by the way.

  • lollll

  • angle the front of the bike down when its on the stand so the front wheel stays pointing forward!

  • Also hes an old man of course hes probably gonna breath healthy but hes in pretty damn good shape.

For an old man and ive seen better so fuck off.

  • Better**

  • dude your sooooooo fuckin creepy.

nothing says love like a fat guy in a skin suit getting all soapy

  • thx! good info. Sometimes one is leary of putting water on the bike. like me.

  • a clean bike goes faster?? i beg to differ as long as the gears and chain are clean its fine but you can have all kinds of mud on the frame this is boring

  • dont wear a tight shirt if your belly is huge

  • this makes me uncomfortable

  • LOL, I could see why. I love my bike too though :)

    Great instructional video.

  • Even something as "simple" as cleaning a bike can ruin some of its parts. This is a very good and relevant tutorial.

  • very inventive linkenparkfan107...

  • Car wash is easier, lol

  • What I learned from this video:

To clean your bike use water, soap and a brush.

What would I do without the internet?

  • A clean bike goes faster? what?
