Ok first of triple clutch is wrong so wrong u have no idea, double clutch is

clutch open, neutral, clutch close, rev, clutch open, down gear, clutch close during gear change, this demonstration in this clip is NOT changing gears so is WRONG to call it triple clutch, all this demonstration is showing is clutch kick in the same gear which can be performed many many times whilst in gear, please learn.

clutch kicking that many times is only due to the lack of power the stock ka24e and ka24de produce. however the clutch is one of the most used methods for entering a drift. the triple clutch kicking is only because he is bogging and losing angle

Also kicking the clutch like this just twice is not the well known double clutching so dont get that mixed up. Double clutching is not kicking the clutch. thats exactly what i was saying, clutch kick is not double clutching. Clutch kick is kicking the clutch to keep it in the powerband. Double clutching is a shifting term. It was used mainly on unnsynchronized because it was the only way to shift. You dont trust me? look it up man.

Double clutching steps:

- clutch in, shift into neutral

- rev to desired RPM

- clutch back in, shift into the lower gear

- release clutch, hopefully in the proper range on powerband.

The only thing it can be compared to is "Heel&toe" for downshifting quickly while braking. This kinda bypasses the whole 'putting it into neutral' step and you rev while clutched in instead.

Double clutching is more of a two-step process.

clutch kicking is shit for your car and double clutching enables you to down shift quicker through corners smoothly (the car doesnt jerk as the gears bring up teh engine revs cos the revs are where they should oredy be). pointless for every day driving

that is referred to as "heel and toe" technique. It has nothing to do with double clutching. Double clutching is a technique used to shift un-synchronized transmissions. Without double clutching you will grind the gears every time you down shift.

You are thinking of Heel and toe which is used in racing and i use it on the street too. Its very nice technique because you have to brake hard and also be in the right gear so you can accelerate right away with out a delay or any jerking.

you are right abt the heel toe how ever if u heel toe with out double clutch u will be riding the clutch. with double clutch and heel toe combined the rev match is done in neutral. this is the only use for double clutch in a modern car afaik. i do it some times when i feel like showing off to my dad :P.

Of double clutching(or double de-clutching)?Much smoother gearchange, (which allows smoother acceleration). Double clutching is only really used when gearing down in modern cars(as when you gear up, the revs naturally fall to match the rpm for the higher gear, so its useless to double clutch gearing down). It used to have to be done all the time in older cars (gearing up and down)until the synchromesh was created. Try double clutching when gearing down to accelerate,get it right and its worth it
