This is a childhood lovely memory of mine that knows no season. My little sister and I watched it every year at my Grandma's and Grandpa's house on their little black and white tv. It was never officially Christmas time until we watched it.
yeahhhhhhhhh, I think of this show often and glad to see it again . thank you. as a child it was mesmorizing. I thin k if this version didn't mention the taxation from the Romans and how the people started talking amongst themselves about it. It would be shown again, and should be as is. On second thought, this story is to make the poor feel good about being poor. while the evil rich laugh at us for it's fable message. All are equal in America. HA! only money makes you free in USA

When the holidays roll around I always remember The Nativity and Night Before Christmas. I have told friends about these marionettes but no one seems to remember them. Thank you for posting this it brings back wonderful memories,

Thank you for posting this very special movie. This Nativity story by the Mabel Beaton Marionettes was and still is a treasured part of my Christmas celebration. It is among those very special events which I look forward to each year. I am delighted that PBS in Philadelphia will air the program. Unfortunately, I usually miss this film which I love very much.

Thank you so much. I looked specifically for these stories. Each Christmas season, growing up, I looked forward to these two stories with the marionettes. I memorized the Night Before Christmas poem because of this show on tv. What wonderful memories you have brought back to life. I am sending this to my cousins and my sister. And I'm going to share them with my kids and grandkids.
