Did the Dalai Lama ever claim he was perfect?

I prefer to have a meat eater promote vegitarianism than to have him promote meat eating.

I would encourage you to look at the very positive things the Dalai Lama has done. This business of vegitarianism or meat eater is very petty in the grand scheme of things. I am a vegetarian and became one primarily because of the influence of his Holiness. It was his influence that helped me understand that I do not need meat. His kindness has extended to many people in this way. This is a positive thing. This is a great thing. Many blessings to you.

Eating meat is actually dangerous to a diseased liver. Meat contains a horrendous amount of chemicals, and oftentimes is gassed with carbon monoxide. Chicken are fed arsenic with chicken feed to make the meat look pink, and cows are routinely fed chicken manure as a standard chicken feed. Pig meat-one can catch Hepatitis E. Eating meat is NOT healthy especially for a person with Hepatitis.

I guess teh problem is:

Why Dalai lied about the reason he has to eat meat and wants everyone else to be vegetarians, and all the restaurants in Dharamsala to be vegetarian?

Why he is against Kentucky Fried Checken to open fast food chain in Tibet?

Why he didn't take "it hurts" or "unacceptable" when he eats steaks?

Why he appointed ao many his close relatives in the high lucrative positions while so many Tibetans in Dharamsala are hungry and begging for food on the streets?

His brothers and sister were well educated unlike many of the Tibetans before the Chinese invasion, so they were in a position to serve the Tibetan community in exile and they did a great job. They were elected. The government is now run by many who were born in the exile. I have friends working there too. All the students call his sister, Jestun Pema la AMA. Michael Backman is pro-China. Followers of Dorje Shugen. Look at them all westerners. Some are Chinese. 7.20 & 7.33. Are they Buddhists?

You are right about not all the people at 7:20 and 7:33 are "Buddhists". But I guess the non-Buddhists can also demonstrate just like their counter part in the "Free Tibet" demonstrations.

I was born in India and I am a vegetarian. My parents were born in Tibet where they had to eat meat and it was the main source of protein. Tibetan muslims in Tibet do most of the butchery. A single yak can serve the whole family when a single chicken is not likely to do the same. Many Tibetan youngsters are now becoming vegetarians. I understand your theme, but what has this gotta do with the Tibetan protest pictures? You took the fighting with the brother out of context.

First, You don't have to eat meat in order to get protein in Tibet or in any part of the world.

The demonstartion pictures are illustarting, as indicated in the video at 6:48, that any threat to Dalai Lama's family business is seriously dealt by Dalai exile government.
