Regardless, these verses say nothing of taking women against their will (which would be the closest translation of "rape" into Arabic--there is no Arabic word for "to rape"). Correction: The 10 Commandments given to Moses the Lawgiver are the core of both Judaism and Christianity. I live in the southern hemisphere and am old enough to have learned to survive more shi* in this life than I care to dwell on - without naivety. Your aunt can and will recover from these setbacks. You're right about some people living without remorse but it only seems that way on the surface. People invent all kinds of thought processes to justify anything and everything (seemingly good or bad) they do in life. My point is that there is ALWAYS a trade-off / price / consequence of some type to be paid for actions towards ourselves and others in all situations. Regardless, these verses say nothing of taking women against their will (which would be the closest translation of "rape" into Arabic--there is no Arabic word for "to rape"). Correction: The 10 Commandments given to Moses the Lawgiver are the core of both Judaism and Christianity. The entire system of western secular democracy in government is based on those same 10 Commandments which means that the world really is full of people who actually DO follow and live by those laws even though they might not realise it.

People invent all kinds of thought processes to justify anything and everything (seemingly good or bad) they do in life.
