However all the Generals and other politicians said No Way , and they ended up with a compromise, the Dont Ask Dont Tell policy, which turned into a disaster. You cant really blame Bill for that disaster of a policy. Hillary is probably fine with most aspects of gay rights, but it would be hard to get elected if she supported gay marriage.

I think it is wonderful that all these celebrities and politicians are making these videos, and just average people too. Hilary lived through a time when women were treated as second-class citizens. I saw the tail end of that era. It's time for our society to stop treating LGBT as second-class citizens now. I'm not gay, but I've had gay friends most of my life, and I'm just so happy to see the transformation to acceptance beginning to spread.

The Government sets the tone, and the example, for bullying LGBT's. DADT Law and the Federal Marriage Amendment proposal, demonstrate to bullies that degrading LGBT's is acceptable practice, without penalty. US policies have castigated LGBT's as undesirable, second-class citizens-- drinking from a separate water fountain. While our Constitution promises that "all men are created equal," our politicians refuse to honor and make true, that covenant. Are we a Nation of hypocrites or heroes? ^^

You can talk all you want, Hillary. We need ACTION. We need CHANGE. Your words are not enough to stop people from feeling so alone that they kill themselves. Your words are not enough to stop prejudice against LGBT Americans. Sure, they help- but they are not enough. We need laws, and we need to make comprehensive approaches- you CANT just say "hang in there" and thinks that’s enough to address this issue. This is almost insulting, especially since I am an LGBT suicide survivor myself.
