But the cars got safer after that crash force lived. silver lining to a dark cloud.

Looked to me, at the time, and still to this day that Kenny Bernstene sp hit that marker block, shot it under forces car and a chain reaction happened. Poped one tire, then the other the shock took an otherwise good chassis and just broke it. If I recall the chassis was in use for a pretty long time. Think of the coat hanger you break, bend it back and forth enough times and it will eventually break. I think the force team just miscalculated how many passes it was good for.

@dctbymc Sue the guy who made that car? First off, sue happy assholes are what takes the fun out of everything, everyone's afraid to do anything for fear of getting sued. BUT, these guys either build their own chassis or murf mckinney builds them all, at least to my knowledge. The body is just a plastic cover over the car, it flying off happens all the time and automatically deploys the parachutes. Unfortunately they're very expensive. I've heard between 30k and 90k, who knows the actaul cost

1:50 Is Eddie Hill..after the finnnish line a rear tier explode damage the wing and broke up the rear end of the car making the wing, rear axle and parachutes come off the car. But Eddie was almost fine he was back at the track the next day racing......
