  • i dont take religion seriously ,you fucking bitch

  • hey i'm gathering as much evidence on my faith as i can. i use both science and religion.. and if you can't respect that then i can't respect you. and hey if atheist think they are better than me for being who i am. try calling me crazy when i'm saving your asses from a natural disaster.. because one of the proofs of god, is burned deep into my brain, and also infused with my DNA.. you guys want your proof, build a device which can play back memories from a person's brain without harm

  • @Gaslydeath then i'll give all the proof i have, from my design to the memories of a past life. and yes design does mean my body design.. every bit of my body is detailed within my brain allowing quick body checks without having to touch the body. basically its helped me and some doctors who were repairing my bones find some quite unique things about my body.. including the strange heart beat and right side of my brain becoming active

  • @Gaslydeath

Your first sentence there is confusing. Anyway, I don't see what that has to do with god. Not being able to explain something doesn't prove anything. It only shows that there is something we don't understand yet. I realize that you take that as proof, but it isn't.

  • @CrimsonVoid yeah but till you can prove to me that god doesn't exists then i will lower the things i use down to 2 things. i mean at the moment i use 3 things (religion, science and the hidden one which i know about but if i let others know about it, it will most likely prematurely end their lives.. i mean i'm the last guy i know who can use the abilities involved in the hidden thing i use.. one of which involves no pain sense due to destroyed nerve endings).

  • @Gaslydeath

Omg, I am so tired of people asking me to prove that god doesn't exist. That's just a stupid question. You are the one making the claim that god exists. I don't need to prove that he doesn't exist; you have to prove that he does. And i don't know how you plan to use science as a proof. People have been doing that for eons and come up nil. What do you expect to uncover about god that they have all failed to find.

  • @CrimsonVoid got a whole load of tech designs burned into my brain. one or two of them should do something in order to help us find an answer. one of which has been going through my head for years now, but i won't build it as it uses very high powered magnets to create a beam of light so intense that it will burn through anything, the only problem is, any asteroid containing metal may be pulled in or it may turn our sun into a red Giant taking out our planet in the process..

  • @Gaslydeath

Oh, ok. You're either a troll or fucking nuts. Congrats on that.

  • @CrimsonVoid put it this way for your little brain. the energy source which i have designs for, can either be used to power 18 cities for about 50,000 years or can be used to power 2 different items. 1 of which is a weapon capable of burning the planet to the same heat as the sun. the way this is done is the heat from the energy output is magnified till the light from the item burns into the ground striking the core. thats the one i won't make it for. however i will make the other item.

  • @Gaslydeath

I guess my little brain has a few problems with that. 18 cities of what size? And what part of the sun can you heat the planet to, the core or the surface, or somewhere in between? Or are you talking about turning the planet into a sun. Can it only do that to this planet? Or would you be capable of destroying other larger planets, or even the sun itself? If this is just a huge source of power then couldn't you also use it to make some form of interstellar transport? How old are you?

  • @CrimsonVoid pedos ask how old people are -.-... anyways can't use it for interstellar transport till the magnetic radius problem is fixed.. asteroids with metal cores would be pulled towards the energy source. which is why i can't build it down here till i get enough money to build the place where i can build the energy core and build the part which transfers the energy to the external components to power the thing. no i won't say what the components are, i know america..

  • @Gaslydeath you invent something then america constantly asks questions about it so they can build it. however once they have built it they won't say anything about your name and they will turn it into a weapon. then when people start calling they will then give your name out with a large bounty on your head. so i will build this item, and turn it into an energy device, then get started on the bigger item.. the bigger item will be capable of making planets.

  • @Gaslydeath

Of course pedos ask about age, that's how they work. I am just trying to figure out how much experience you have had with reality and how educated you might be. I guess I will just wait for the headline: "Crazy person tries to invent the death star." Then I will know that you were right. I can't help but imagine that you are wringing your hands like a classic villain when you talk about this stuff.

  • @CrimsonVoid in my GCSE grades my best grades were science and religious education.. both of them i got Bs and Cs for.. my teacher said i almost got an A, just i missed by like i think it was 2 maybe 3 points.. i wasn't assed as i got the highest grade in school.. however for my math GCSE and english one i kinda got Fs on them, because i can't read properly due to words just jump about as i'm reading.. its complicated to explain

  • @Gaslydeath also now i'm learning how to work with computers in University and im in my final year. also i've done some really small pattern drawings. you'd need to zoom in by about 100% to see what they look like and when zoomed out they are in a rectangle of about 5mm by 10mm

  • @Gaslydeath

Let me put it this way. There are a lot of people out there that are really smart that do really silly things and have really odd ideas. I'm not saying that what you think you know is impossible, I just don't think you understand what you think you know. For example, a lot of people think they can make a perpetual motion machine. But with the most basic knowledge of Thermodynamics it becomes very obvious why it's not possible. Have you had any thermodynamics yet?

  • @CrimsonVoid nope not had those yet but its just that i know i can build this item as each part doesn't exactly touch, its all based around magnets producing a very high charge from the core which is the only hard bit to build as it is the part which increases the power level of anything put into it, in this case a small triple A battery powering it would give off enough energy to run a nuclear reactor. which is why i'm worried about the problems from the magnetic field..

  • @Gaslydeath put it this way the magnetic field from the thing would be big enough to pull debris from our orbit to mars. because as the magnets get more power from the charge sequence then they become much more magnetic, however i'm working on the other stuff before i get too far into that one. because the other stuff just requires a few motors, car batteries and a few big chunks of metal.. pretty much i'm going to make a suit. the last suit i'll ever wear..

  • @Gaslydeath

That's what I was looking for. Are you planning on using electromagnets or natural magnets. If you use electric then there is no way that you can get more energy out than you put in. If you are using natural magnets and actually found a way to to generate more energy than you put in, which you physically can't, then the planet will stop spinning and you will lose your power source.

  • @CrimsonVoid electro magnets can give off more power if used correctly. as for the outer casing its going to be opposite poles to the magnets inside to lower the risk of things being pulled towards it. other than that i've figured out how to make a planet using the power source. once the power source is charged here it will be capable of being launched into space, into the area of which i mentioned before that should make a planet hopefully.. that or a new sun.

  • @Gaslydeath

Actually, electromagnets can't produce more power than you put into them. I'm not trying to keep you from giving it a shot, but don't be too disappointed if it doesn't work out.

  • @CrimsonVoid may just high charge some steel till it gets a magnetic charge or some copper and use that instead, and use arc energy to keep them charged, and use them in the circuit would make using the core easier and safer than locking it down and have it move in a bowl type of thing. especially seeing as the core is supposed to spin and if in a bowl could fire out into one of the outer magnets and damage it. as for how the magnets will be set up, thats for me to know and people to find out

  • @Gaslydeath

Good luck. But I'm telling you, it won't work.

  • @CrimsonVoid meh trial and error gets things to work, if one error happens then you pretty much go back to the drawing board and research a new way to make it work.

  • @Gaslydeath

No, I mean it's physically impossible. Regardless of trial and error, it won't work. In order for your machine have to be just 100% efficient it can't make any sound or give off any light or heat or magnetic fields, etc. And that's already impossible. So getting over 100% is even more so.

  • @Gaslydeath memories can't be taken as proof, becouse the mind alters memories, and you can imagine things on wich you belive to be true but isnt, therefor that type of evidence is not valid.

the right hemisphere is always in use, if anyone tells you anything else they are wrong,

  • @Taze00 well all i can say is i have seen both heaven and hell.. from some kind of death thing i went through when i was about 10.. i kinda got hung by some bullies and was classed as dead for about 1hour and 30 mins.. throughout that time i was told stuff.. stuff which has had an effect on both my body and mind.. i was told i'm not allowed into either of the places as i'm needed here on this planet. the strange stuff is whats happened to my body.. its evolving and changed beyond repair

  • Nice Background, nice music and nice argumentation.

  • As Neil deGrasse Tyson said. Paraphrasing but, "These Aliens are so technologically advanced that they can travel through the vacuum of space but then crash on our planet?"

  • @TymesRhymes Who said anything about crashing? Oh, sure, Roswell...but there are a lot of *flying* UFO sightings, too.

  • @BionicDance True but some of those have been debunked as light coming from certain objects. Also it is almost always a small group that sees these UFO's and eye witness is some of the least valuable evidence. I'm not ruling out the possibility but picking out Earth without NASA or the RFSA picking up something is highly unlikely.

  • @TymesRhymes So some of those have been debunked...what's your point? The UFO peeps are still looking for evidence rather than believing on faith.

  • @BionicDance Did I ever say that I believe it on faith? I think not. I am one who thinks that it is possible that we are the only life forms in the universe but highly improbable due to the shear massiveness of the universe.

All I'm saying is that more than eyewitness testimonies is needed. Why? the way people think plus certain disorder some may have can create images. Black Swan is a perfect example of this.

  • @TymesRhymes You miss my point; the faith comment had nothing to do with YOU.

Watch the video again; you'll understand.

  • @BionicDance Well Fucking shit. We're on the same page. I was reiterating your video without realizing it.

  • @BionicDance I am a dumbass, forgive me?

  • @TymesRhymes NEVER!

    ...oh, all right. :)

  • Well said Keight... ★★★★★

    P.S.

There is no reason why "any" religion/belief deserves respect. With that being said; a general respect for people and/or life can, and should be given, but a respect for a persons belief(religious, or otherwise) should never be automatically given. Respect is earned, and no religion to-date has earned any rational persons respect. ;O)

  • Hot dam! Now this is the BD I luv to see get it on.

Most Christians use logical and rational thinking in every aspect of their daily lives...except when it comes to believing in their totally silent & absent ghost-god!

I can't see any other way of explaining it other than to call it delusional. Or, as I sometimes suspect, they think there's a chance their god may be real, so they try to play it safe (Pascal's Wager)!

Just like lies, one delusion leads to another...then another.

  • he said rabbit ...

  • people who believe in UFOs and Extraterritorials are nuts? Stephan Hawkings considered nuts?

  • @Snakekilla12 Nobody said anything about believing in extraterrestrials are nuts. People believing that UFOs have actually visited EARTH are kinna loopy, especially since they have no solid evidence of it, but believing in the rather extreme probability of the existence of extraterrestrial life is not.

You need to pay closer attention to what's actually being said, rather than reinterpreting it as you have done here.

  • @BionicDance Most people that believe in UFOs never consider the science behind the possibility of alien visitors. They tend to be obsessed with the science fiction. I mean even if the civilization is thousands of times more advanced you could still deplete a whole planet worth of resources trying to reach earth.

  • @endthedisease - Or the potential problems of traveling several light years across space in a reasonable amount of time.

  • @BionicDance - If we have to have a hypothetical fight how about Mephisto from Marvel Comics versus the Lord of Nightmares from Slayers.

  • @lobothesacred3 ...who?

  • @BionicDance - Mephisto is essentially the devil. The Lord of Nightmares from Slayers is essentially a god like entity that created its own universe.

  • @lobothesacred3 Meh.

  • Now that's now you tell a theist to fuck off. Good video.

  • Without his little magic sword, Skywalker couldn't beat Kirk. He couldn't even beat Wesley Crusher!

    Other than that, well said!

  • Religious people don't respect me. Surely as sincere apology and removing a few offensive parts of the Bible and Quran would go a long way towards EARNING my respect.

  • Oh I just commented on your other video that I often enjoy rants and now here you are ranting :'D It's like knew what I was going to say and went back in time to make this video!

On topic, I've been pretty sheltered from religious beliefs growing up, but partly through my own efforts I spend more time discussing religion now, both online and IRL. It's especially difficult when it comes to family, it takes practice to explain as nicely as possible why what they believe is bullshit.

  • Kirk vs Luke... hmmmm, if Luke and Kirk fought on equal grounds, meaning Luke can't use any abilities Kirk doesn't have... one can use their physical weapon of choice...

  • Great intro.

  • If respect is something that is earned, religion has a long, long, long way to go being that they back an asshole of a god.

  • @realigiousrayne so whenever you dont understand someones actions or why they did it, you call them an asshole?

  • In America, a person has a right to hold whatever belief he/she/it/they want. I've always held the opion the "respect my belief" idea is centered on a logical fallacy. A person's "right to believe" does not in any way imply or guarantee a right to be taken seriously, nor does it restrict everyone elses right to believe the person is an idiot for said belief. In the US, there are eight exceptions to the first amendment, so even an assumption of a "right to be heard" is not entirely correct.

  • @caerwynentllc question, can you not respect someones beliefs when they are only effecting them, if they want to say a pray for example. Can we not respect that its imported to them and if they are not asking us to join in, or preaching, do we really have to make fun of them? I think there need to be a little more tolerance as long as everyone respect each others right to believe what ever the fuck they want, when they are shoving it in your face its a different story.

  • THAT was an incredible well done rant.....great job.

  • Well, ridicule IS the appropriate response to the ridiculous.

  • There's a lot of theist delusion and stretching of the truth in the comments section.

  • I like the way you make 'screaming' into a three-syllable word: skir-ea-ming.

  • she just OWNED

  • one of your best!

  • this channel is so awesome.

  • "It can be empirically proven that religion does measurable harm to people." OF COURSE IT DOES ! ! They cannot deny it, unless they are retarded. How can they not see what is so obvious? And why would they deny what they put right in our faces?

  • @thereforeithought I dont deny that religion does any harm, but the bible doesnt condone that kind of behavior in any way.. especially Jesus Christ himself.. that shows you how ignorant people are.. and find ways to excuse themselves from the violence they commit, which is exactly what bionic dance said so i agree with that, but that however does not disprove the bible from being true..

  • @jubjubmh316 You are, of course, welcome to express your opinion on YouTube, but religion does A GREAT DEAL of harm, and christianity more so than most. The religious wars deserve special mention, and there have been numerous persecutions. Today, the babble's ancient values inflict harm in medicine (AIDS and stem-cell research), society (abortion, womens' and gay issues), and culture (ignorance, prejudice and intolerance). But thanks for commenting.

  • @thereforeithought the bible does not inflict harm on today's society, it is igorant people doing ignorant things who claim to be something they are not who have a complete misunderstanding of the bible..the old testament is different from the new testament which introduced jesus, like a new coventant.. people take laws from the old testament and apply them in todays world... which is very ignorant.. and shows their lack of knowledge of the bible and the new testament..

  • @jubjubmh316 The bible is nothing more than the fears, superstitions and myths of tribal cultures from 5 millenia ago. It is a characteristic of primitive cultures to pass on their values to the next generation to resist change and new information. It is the manifesto of moral and intellectual incompetence. Thanks for your comment. You're free to believe what you want, but do not impose it on others.

  • @thereforeithought it is not imposing, we have free will to choose what we want. also, jesus is not a myth... he is referenced by several historians as real, including 2 pagan roman scholars Tacitus and Julian the Apostate who despised christianity, and both had access to government documents, yet neither discredit or disprove jesus, they call his works of a deadly superstition which led to his crucifixion.. there are many many historians accounting for the life of jesus..

  • @thereforeithought also you can check out the babylonia talmud.. also we have historians like josephus, thallus, tranquillus, celsus.. who reference jesus as a living man, who performed miracles, had a following, was the originator of christianity, was crucified, many even claim there was an eclipse during the crucifixion of jesus because they could not explain the darkness during that time..

  • @thereforeithought also, it was common in that time for things not to be written untill after the life of that figure, and why would the romans even keep a record of jesus? to them he was just a carpenter, a nobody, a false god among others, it wasnt untill later they started to really become interested in him..

  • @jubjubmh316 I'm suprised at these three comments, which admit the ancient legends were written by ancient men. The names you've given, they were no more historians than Aesop. Faith has closed your mind.

  • @thereforeithought great comback.. you are very believable and i see you have done research.. i am convinced..

  • @jubjubmh316 Oh, good...

  • @thereforeithought when all else fails vote ron paul

  • Religion is the bane of humanity.

  • @axel5735 Religion was one of our earliest attempts to figure out the world, so that is no bane for humanity. What it may have become is another story. Physics may account for the substance of the universe, but physics don't tell us how to behave to our neighbors or how to treat the earth.

  • @shackupyourstruly Religion does nothing more than keep us from figuring out the world. It provides non-answers and discourages thinking for yourself. Why does it rain? Rain god. Why does the sun come up? Sun god. How did we come to exist? Dust, a rib, and god magic. Are you aware of how many wars began because of religion? Are you aware of the effect the Dark Ages has had on the world? We would have been perfectly fine without it and to this day it continues to fuck us up.

  • @shackupyourstruly Religion tells us how to behave to our neighbors and how to treat the earth, but NOT in a good way. The Bible says we can keep people from neighboring tribes as slaves as well as to commit infanticide in war. It says we have dominion over all of the earth and can do with it as we please. The physical and behavioral sciences all say that these are not good things.

  • Kirk would think of a way to win. He's dealt with much more powerful beings than a simple Jedi.

Kirk has dealt with Godly beings. He could just transport luke and hold him in the transporter forever. People underestimate the transporter as the ultimate weapon. 8) Just sayin

  • Watch out Ujames1978 will get ya and call you everything hateful (including "pigfucker") under his intolerant sun for speaking your mind.

    Cheers.

  • We may not see, hear, touch, or otherwise sense or detect their g:d, but I entertain the possibility that they can, that we are just not as 'equipped' as they. Were they to provide me an effective tool to detect their g:d, I would try it out. So far, no tool has, but I have picked up a philosophic nugget or two along the way.

  • @shackupyourstruly What the hell is a g:d?

  • @Diasanti It's a concession I willingly make for my Jewish comrades who don't want to spell out G:d or L:rd.

  • @shackupyourstruly Is this something like the Muslims not wanting people to draw pictures of Allah or Mohammed? Don't make me start spelling out words here.

God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God Lord God.

    OK are you desensitized now?

  • It's just what I do. It doesn't matter to me if anyone else does it. I like : colon better than - hyphen.

  • @shackupyourstruly I like my colon too. It helps me process shit ;-)

  • @oscargordon That's a relief.

  • @BionicDance I love it when you rant. So sexy :P

  • Luke vs Kirk?

A much more satisfying fight would be Darth Maul vs Kirk(or maybe Warf).

The one I would pay to see would be Kwai Chang Caine or Master Po(from Kung Fu) vs Darth Sidious.

  • @flammamancer Anything to see Worf use the bakleth sword again...

  • I find it's Muslims who tend to demand respect the most. My response is usually something like "Respect is earned. What has Islam done to earn respect?"

  • Now if only clear thinking and outspoken people were not just ranting in their daily YouTube videos, things could actually change in the real world...

  • Weldone Kate :) Thumbs up.

  • this one rocks ...5 stars

  • + 20 respect points

  • Huh... An average UFO truth-er is more respectable than an average theist... Never thought about it that way. Thanks.

    Take care

  • You know what I miss? Those random thought videos. Bring those back :)

  • You know I used to think Mark Hamil was a wuss. Then I heard him play the Joker.

    BADASS!

  • I can tolerate them, but respect? Great vid!

  • It would depend upon the conditions of the fight between Skywalker and Kirk. If they just had a drunken brawl, I say Kirk has the advantage from experience.

  • Yeah Skywalker would beat Kirk in a fight.

But if they agreed on a time and a place when he got got there Skywalker would find a note saying that Kirk had burgled his house, raided his fridge, stolen his car and was driving to the beach.

There's more than one way of fighting.

  • I have Christian friends who preach love, peace, and unity, and I respect them.

  • I may have built up some tolerance against the credulous and gullible around me. But in order to gain my respect, they have to earn some by acknowledging both the failings of religions and the virtues of critical thinking.

So tolerance -- no problem in most cases; respect: hardly.

  • First BionicDance video i've watched in a long time. It feels good to be back >:D

  • What??? You want me to think instead of running on auto-pilot??? How disrespectful!!!

  • Crazy how Christians and Muslims ask more respect for their beliefs from us than they have each given to practitioners of other religions all across the ages. A Pagan or Wiccan in the dark ages risked being burned at the stake just for being a Pagan or Wiccan. A Christian or Muslim in the 21st. century has a breakdown in his or her reasoning pointed out by an atheist and demands respect. This is such a double standard.

  • ME: NO DOCTOR MY FRIEND TELLS ME WHAT TO DO HE LIVES IN THE CLOUDS AND SEES EVERYTHING ALL AT ONCE ALL THE TIME I'M NOT CRAZY HE'S THERE I KNOW IT!!!

Doctor: Well this friend of your is part of your overactive and out of control ego and you need powerful meds and therapy to bring you back to normal.

ME:BUT DOCTOR MY FRIEND IS GOD!!!

doctor: OH SHIT!!! Why didnt you say that your free to go.

  • "Like how luke skywalker could totally beat kirk in a fight...\m/" Love it! :D

  • Oof, Keight, I agree with your points here, but this vid is one of your worst. Music too loud, shots out of focus... It's only 3 minutes, but pretty hard on the eyes and ears in my humble opinion.

  • She said, "Good day."

  • Ya, this whole idea that ideas are sacred is bullshit. Ideas, whether they are belief, hope, or even thought, analysis and conclusions aren't alive. They don't feel, or care, or know anything. When did we decide to protect manifestations of the brain?

We only do so out of fear of hurting someone's feelings, but if we lose the security blanket, maybe we'll all get a thicker skin and progress.

  • Fuck yea....I'm right there with ya gal!!!!

  • I would just like to see theists be a little more empathetic when it comes to how they approach atheists. I treat them all like they have been brainwashed and don't know how to think rationally, they should treat me like I genuinely see them as such.

  • i believe i'm an orange helicopter

you should respect me for that!

  • @adirm18 And I do!

  • @adirm18 Too bad! I'm an airplane! xxD

  • @adirm18 only if you come with guns and missiles

  • @adirm18 Picturing a helicopter made of oranges.

  • Loved your appearance in the Atheist video game, funny stuff! :)

  • Thumps up for the exit...

  • @wiseassgamer She calls it an outro, as opposed to an intro {introduction}. I love music, so I call it a coda, which means tail. Dal segno al coda, Baby!

  • The very definition for "delusion" is delusional itself. "A belief that is maintained in spite of argument, data and refutation which should (reasonably) be sufficient to destroy it. Care should be taken . . . one person's delusion may be another's salvation." What a fucking crock of shit - this is not a definition of any sort . . . it refutes itself. Delusion is delusion until you get enough ppl to go along with you?! Then what the fuck is a delusion?

  • Skywalker beating Kirk? Now that's fictional . . . take away Skywalker's little shiny swizzle stick and all you've got is a kid from a backward-assed planet that can perform Houdini tricks - not much to write home about.

  • @Bionicdance You hate shatner too? You and George would make good friends

  • K8, this is spectacular! Nice work.

  • Even if the bible God would be proven to be 100% real that would not make Thought Crime, Human Sacrifice or the Manipulation of people (just to name a few) good, moral or ethical behaviors.

It isn't just the lack of evidence that lights a fire in my ass over this but the absolute tyrannical philosophy of this entire God notion. Anyone that can go along with the Christian or Muslim religion that advocates this tyranny is a threat to civilized society!

  • *flips through atheist response notebook* "Believe in your lord, with all your heart, then he will make himself known to you personally, and that will be all the evidence you need. It's been tried and proven by billions." *closes notebook, crosses arms*

  • After calmly and patiently shoveling bullshit for so long, I think you've earned a rant.

  • This brings back memories when a bucket of hot water drooped on me when I was preaching, and chased by dogs and almost beaten up.

  • Comment removed

  • I also have a message for everyone out there, if somebody is going to have content for you because of what you believe in or don't believe in, then don't bother demanding that they respect you. Just distance yourself from them.

  • @Justinfh2point0 good message

  • @Pentazoid111 Thanks.

  • I have friends who are Christians. They believe in things that probably don't exist. And yet, I respect them. It's not because their beliefs, but it's because they're decent people. Also, I strongly disagree with you on one thing, there's nothing logical and rational about UFO nuts. They have 0 evidence for their claims. In fact, they often take a bunch of random facts and tie together to prove that they're right.

  • @Justinfh2point0 Respecting the individual is not the same as respecting the belief.

  • @Justinfh2point0 UFO nuts present photographic evidence that can be evaluated. They also present either personal or recent second hand verbal references. Christians present written references that are almost 2000 years old and were written down by people 30 to 50 years after the supposed events and were not witnesses to the events.

  • Baby is fired up

  • Wait a damn minute, the Loch Ness Monster is real.... you can't prove it's not real, damn Loch Ness Monster unbeliever..... wait till the laws are changed to make everyone else respect the Loch Ness Monster! Then you be sorry....

  • I refuse to respect their beliefs because they refuse to respect mine. Until they can say that they respect my position and stop trying to convert me or prove themselves to be correct (often with flimsy evidence that they can't prove to be truthful) then I will refuse to respect them and will continue to try to deconvert them.

  • When someone claims that they have the authority to tell me what I'm supposed to do, they really need to give a better answer than their authority comes from a book written by a bunch of very long dead men said to have been inspired by a deity they can't demonstrate is no more than a product of the imagination.

  • "DERP A DERP THE THINGS UNSEEN BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH CREATION PROVES GOD EXISTS BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH YOU JUST WANT TO SIN BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH REPENT NOW REPENT NOW BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH DON'T TEST THE LORD BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH I JERK OFF TO THE THOUGHT OF YOUR SUFFERING FOR ETERNITY BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH I'M INSECURE WITH MORTALITY AND MY PLACE IN THE COSMOS BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH AD BACULUM AD BACULUM AD BACULUM BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH I'M A FUCKING MORON BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH."

  • That's it! It's official! I love you. Great video, by the way! :D

  • Hey!! Ease up on Nessie y'all!! :-)

  • Ridiculous notions need to be ridiculed until the people who posit those notions either keep it to themselves or prove they are not ridiculous. Until then, I continue to point out the silly.

  • say heloo to my little friend.... lol thank you for saying that.

  • Why do you athiests channel your energy into attacking religion so much rather than just attacking irrational thought in general? CLearly , it can be proven empircally that religious people don't have a monopoly on irrational thought. There are rational atheists and there are irrational theists and vice versa! its not as black and white as "rational and logically atheists vs irrational theists".There are many religious people who made countless contributions to science , technology and business

  • @Pentazoid111 It can be empirically proved that religion does measurable harm to people, it makes our lives WORSE.

And these get-off-my-back tactics aren't going to work, not until the religious learn to behave themselves and play well with others.

  • @BionicDance "It can be empirically proved that religion does measurable harm"

But there are some statistics that suggest the opposite. In fact many Straussian intellectuals argue that it is actually better if the mass of society is kept more religious so as to keep them more moral.

Many of the Straussians who argue this are atheists themselves.Alan Bloom for example was both an atheist and gay -not the kind of guy you'd expect to thump Bibles, but was an avid proponent of this.

  • @JohananRaatz Find me an abortion clinic bombing that WASN'T religiously motivated. The vast majority of anti-gay violence and sentiment is religion-based. 9/11 was ENTIRELY religiously motivated.

I'm sorry, but religion is a fucking PLAGUE that hurts us all, and it's entirely due to the join-us-or-die mentality that's built into it.

  • @BionicDance "that WASN'T religiously motivated."

Believe it or not most of them. Granted most pro-life people are also religious, but there's a difference between a religious person doing an action and a religious person doing an action for religious reasons. Besides that's extremely rare.

    "religion is a fucking PLAGUE"

Slow down, almost every human society in history has had one. It helps with social cohesion, maintaining a moral code, respect for authority etc.

  • @JohananRaatz, religion maintains a moral code? like mistreat or kill homosexuals, non-believers and non-subordinate women.

  • @BionicDance "9/11 was ENTIRELY religiously motivated." Thats not entirely true. US foreign policy in the Middle East influenced 9/11 more so than religion

  • @Pentazoid111 Even if that were true--which it's not--there was more than just THAT in my objections; should I take your not addressing them as concession of the points I raised?

  • @JohananRaatz Actually, real statistics say otherwise.

  • @CheeseBurgerFirst What are these statistics measuring? Statistics show that religious societies have much more social control, stability and respect for authority in them. Clearly traits any political scientist would desire.

  • @JohananRaatz Yet it's the most secular countries that have the lowest violent crime rates in the civilized world. The more secular a country gets the happier it's citizens are. There's all kinds of statistics that show this. The more religious a country the more violent the people seems to be.

  • @lautz73 "The more secular a country gets the happier it's citizens are. There's all kinds of statistics that show this."

But those are not all of the stats. For example, more secular countries also have more riots (continental europe) and more feral youths (see the London riots). Also there is a much higher respect for private property rights and fetal rights in countries that are more religious.

  • @JohananRaatz London is not a secular country, it's still religious. More people believe than are atheist, they just don't crow about it like American religious people. Continental Europe is also more religious than secular. Take a look at countries like Holland and Denmark. Thier more secular, the people are happier and have the lowest crime rates amoung civilized nations.
