The lyrics in this version are completely different from the album version. This version is (basically) about her loving the person, saying she can't imagine living without them, and that if they come back saying they love her, she'll do the same.

In the album version, she tells the other person to go back to their life of independence if it's what they truly want, and that she doesn't want to be an anchor to someone so unsure/unhappy about the relationship (simple summary). Very interesting!

@suedezero funny, you got it completely!!! the first idea was about asking the guy to come back, but later I was thinking that ask someone to come back knowing that love is not there , would be very stupid, so why not send hem back to the life he loves, searching for what he really wants and keep my way open for the real thing??? like Omar always says "I got my proud to keep me going from day to day..."". sound more like me... the final lyrics came after this recording session.
