  • woah woah wait wait....isn't this guy a pest controller?

  • lmfao... nerd

  • Where do you buy the best ant farm like yours? I don't want a gel antfarm

  • lol

  • Yeah, when I was 5, I liked to screw around with ants, cuz I was the youngest in the neighborhood(everyone was always at school). Gotta say, making ants swim and dipping them in dusty sand was entertaining, it's just ants, there's too many anyways.

  • i havnt found any under books..

  • u weren't very helpful. :(

  • i used to drown ants alot..and the other day i saw a flying ant so i clipped off his legs, wings and antenna then burned his face with a lighter, he was just rocking back and forward for ages :(

  • @Dennisthemenice666 i hope the same happens to you

  • @Dennisthemenice666 Lol, i saw a red ant that had wings fly right next to em while i was sitting down in my front yard, it really scared me so i kileld it immediatley,.. now i want an ant farm and i already kileld me first queen ant lol-.-

  • lol i dug up a bunch of meh sandbox (its infested with ants) and i found the larvea (or whatever its spelled like) and a bunch of drones, but never the queen lol

  • NEVER put a Queen in one of those tiny ant farms..

  • lol he looked uncomfortable at the end

  • my cousin who is 16 found a queen bee at her backyard 3 weeks ago and kept it in a coke bottle.. and died the next day with poor care..

my other cousin who is 5 found a queen ant at her backyard yesterday and died today because of her poor care..

  • @YouAsian42 i meant the the queen bee and queen ant died lol not my coousins

  • @YouAsian42 Who cares?

  • what an asshole, being able to identify ants properly

  • Okay find the eggs, but do I have to dig in an ant hole?

By the way the ants find small holes in cement, how do I dig though that?

  • MULTIPLE QUEEN ANTS?! O.O LESBIAN ANTS.

  • Yeah... I have a question... HOW THE HELL DO I TAKE CARE OF HUNDREDS OF EGGS? -__-

  • so are there ever queen ants inside the house?? because theres a lot of ants in my house and i found one yesterday that was HUGE, way bigger than the others but the same kind.. what do you think?

  • queens r tank they dig a tunnel lay eggs then kill the gimpy offspring i think my queens special cozz alot of her offspring dont form right and hatch with half a body no abdomen or legs antenne :[

  • Your not suppose to keep queen ants in a small kids ant farm, because if they multiply it'll be a big problem D:

  • 0:10 i was under the assumption that one colony has only ONE queen that lays eggs like a machine,, i am 90% sure that if there is two queens they will kill one.

  • @SainterX In certain species after years of growing a colony reaches the most efficient size say 10,000 ants. When they reach that certain size they start sending out new queens. But before these new queens go to make their own colony they do live in the original colony. During the early spring is the most likely time to find multiple queens. The rest of the year you're probably more likely to find only one queen.

  • @buckinfitches Great thanks for clearing this up. I recently start an ant farm and i love it ! Where do u learn about ants?

  • @SainterX I learned about them watching the science channel. They should have lots of programs about ants on you tube. Here is a good you tube video i recently watched on harvester ants that teaches you how a colony works /watch?v=ukS4UjCauUs

  • @buckinfitches Wow thanks ! I love the talks at TED ! you should check out the TED speech on how it feels to have a stroke ! its amazing

  • what happens if the queen ant over populates the ant farm?

  • @TimieDaKamikaze Burn it.

  • @PhuckHue2 ouch.. . . u sure were evil

  • @PhuckHue2 omg lol thats horable

  • @PhuckHue2 oh god that's disgusting..

  • @JazyGirl26 no it wasn't, it was fun :-)

  • @PhuckHue2 yeah it is disgusting actually, if you enjoy torturing things and killing them in such psychotic ways then there is something seriously wrong with you.. i don't like ants in my house but i don't enjoy doing cruel things to them to kill them..

  • @JazyGirl26 Your retarded ants feel no pain because they're simple minded creatures.... and also They're FUCKING ANTS!

  • @howtoguro as far as youuuu know.. psychopath

  • @howtoguro don't open that stupid mouth of yours if you know nothing about science and anatomy. ants, just like 99% of animals, have a nervous system, that means they do feel pain. you dumb idiot!

  • lol if you think living thing feel no pain...you could just put a bullet in your head

  • @PhuckHue2

Dude! I did the exact same thing a few years ago but without the alcohol

  • @TriedToDrownAFish next time do it with alcohol. it will swell up like a balloon real quick and pop. fetus ants will fly everywhere. nice clean wholesome fun :)

  • @PhuckHue2 You made me lol so hard XD

  • @PhuckHue2 Omg, You are such a retard. What is the problem with you, just get a life and leave the poor ants alone.

  • @MegaMew27 I'm going to lol when you have ants crawling all over your face when you die

  • @PhuckHue2 You are a sick bastard.

  • @Khran1505 haven't found a queen since then. I wish I could. then I hear the great pop of death

  • Quite simply, the queen will produce in such large numbers that the ant farm will be overrun, and the colony will start to die. Pretty cruel, and not nice to teach your kids.

  • First of all, NO ONE should mess with an ant colony. Not only are you disrupting nature, you put yourself at risk whether you can handle an ant bite or not. Queens are not easy to catch, with the queen being deeply concealed within the chamber, and soldier ants will attack while attempting to move the queen...so good luck with that. If you do happen to catch a queen, the rest of the colony will die without her and so will your ant farm.

  • @trailblazr80 That's good. :p I so hate ants!

  • Once the trail enters the grass, it's impossible to track the ants. And they don't have any mounds or hills.

  • i might as well go buy one or something

  • I have a question I don't care about ity

  • i think there is like one quenn that breeds and others that can breed but there already is a queen so if you make a colony it would be perfectely fine to take some queens and if you tear their nest apart it will just give them something to do

  • I dont support this video at all, as he is talking about destryoting the colony and pulling queens out of the intact colony at all. If you want to find ants, you may have to know about when the swarm time is, and also know about where may some colony's living. If they are big enough, you'll be able to find queens if you really want to. Otherwise there are shops selling them...

  • dr. phil

  • nice guy but, how was rasing ants fun?

  • yeah yeah

    that reeeeeally help me but...

i cave in my garden and i cant find the queen!

    where i can look?

    another garden? in the street?

  • My school in infested with ants and my language arts building is actually on top of the ant nest

  • i got a queen black ant but do i have to have a male ant to?

  • @billmadethis u mean worker ants? most likely, no. queen ants store cemin and eggs in them so just give them time and it will put the two together

  • why the hell do ppl want an ant farm? thats is disgusting its no way to play with them

  • @dogz0898 you have no imagination and ants are the least disgusting of all bugs if you gotta problem with ants how do you even go outside with all the far more disgusting bugs

  • @dogz0898 To observe their common life cycle.

  • ahh why would i want to have an ant farm what happens if it spills? that would just be creepy. i want to find the ant queen so they would stop crawling all over my room D:

  • It's even easier! In summertime and early autumn, you just have to have your eyes open to see ant queens. They're as common as flies. Do some research about how queen ants look and carry a little flask with you always. I GUARANTEE you will randomly find 2-3 queens in the next few months. And they've been fertilized just minutes ago.

You can start your own ant farm right from the start! It's much more exciting that way :3.

  • @Owneador1337 what ants breeding season is in autumn so i know what to look for i havent seen any queens or king ants yet i live in oklahoma if that helps

  • @cobraopts7 Well, I am European, but after doing some research I see Oklahoma must have a pretty dry climate; so you can expect pretty big ants out there.

Princess (unfertilized) queens come out mostly in the evening and hang around until night time. Check the Internet to find what queen ants in your zone look like, and keep your eyes on the floor when walking around and carry a small test tube with you. If you find a princess without wings, it means she is fertilized (they chop them off).

  • i missed the part about AVOIDING fire ant hills. but i found the queen!

  • @knoxklay11 lol D: ouch dude ouch....

  • @Tekkenfreek234 good ^_^ hahahah!

  • 0:00

  • did he mention WHERE GLOVES!!!!!

  • ant farms were fun when I was a kid... not they have gel farms that are even better built in food... boy times change, from dirty/vermiculite now to gel. LOL

  • the only ants i find in my hause are fire ants and wood ants that sting harder then fire ants

  • @nhothing wood ants i hate those things

  • Is that a nail at 0:23? Ew

  • @Lkonae Then just do as you wish...

  • @bliofet Sorry, my comment was pretty angsty :P

  • He's asking us to open up a natural nest, take the queen, wich means killing the whole colony and make sure she lays new eggs ? What a dickwad --'

  • @bliofet He said find a nest with multiple queens. Learn to listen douche.

  • @Sickshot12 Even if you take one from a Nest with multiple queens she'll never make new eggs. If you don't know anything about ants please don't try to act smart...

  • @bliofet I'm going to listen to the adult with professional pest control job over some 12 year old kid who has an attitude problem because he can't make a successful ant farm.

  • @Sickshot12 I've got 4 colonies at home and i don't think he's a professional, because opening an ant nest that probably took months for them to build sure isn't a good idea... Now do as you wish, if you want to destroy a whole colony, your choice...

  • @Sickshot12 Now please, go back to GMOD and continue copying some of Dasboschitt's videos, coz that's probably all you know to do, besides you're fireBALLS...

  • @navidakbarzadeh

    press F5

    or reload

  • Oh the irony. First you're teaching us every way to kill these suckers now you're telling us how to breed them.

  • i like this guy

  • Stupid

  • all we have here in Georgia are fire ants, lol what ever

  • Any ideal What a normal queen ant look like i probably wont see it since it undeground but i want a queen ant to make a new coloney MAN MADE

  • This guys with a pest control company, he probably wants kids all over to bring ant farms into the home so they can break and suddenly you need to hire someone (like him!) to help you out with the ants!

  • No no you have it all wrong. Here's what I did at camp with a bunch of friends:

Take isopropyl alcohol and dilute it with water.

Apply the solution to an ant hole.

They'll start running out with eggs. The queen will eventually follow.

  • @orielonline how long time did it take before they started to run out? and also the time it took for the colony to evacuated the whole nest?

  • It was so long ago, I don't really remember. Keep in mind that I was 8 or 9 years old...but it kept our attention, so I'm guessing almost they started running out immediately, with an accelerating rate. Maybe 3-4 minutes until they started evacuating with the eggs.

  • @orielonline cool i gotta try that myself XD

  • i dont get it ive been over a month and still i didnt find any ant queens please help me

  • @insect1997 umm well uve gotta wait 4 spring thats when they start coming out to mate or u can try orielonlines idea

  • i what a Queen ant !!!!!!!! but i can't get 1 .and what is the best ant u can get for a ant farm ?????? can u tell me 5 of them ok bye

  • @master09shotgun a good ant species is a harvester ant

  • im scared of queen ants

  • "Booty Dances" in ONE super small description can be an art form, but they are 99.99% mainly produced to sexually excite males.

  • yeah so? whats wrong with that?

  • When conditions are hot and humid after rain and wind is minimal, masses of winged sexually reproducing ants or "flying ants" will leave their parent nest and take flight [3]. The mating flights occur simultaneously in all ant nests of the particular species. The female "queen" ants will fly a long distance, during which they will mate with at least one winged male from another nest. He transfers sperm to the seminal receptacle of the queen and then dies

  • this is not how you capture a queen. do not listen to this man. first of all most colonies only have 1 queen. second you must use extremely sophisticated techniques to capture a queen alive that is already in a working colony. If you want a queen, you must wait until mating season(early summer) and find a queen without wings(if she has wings she has not yet mated). even then youre success rate of a colony in an aquarium is small.

  • If you want EXPERT advice on how to capture queen ants, then PM me....this guy is full of shit.

  • suuuuuuuuuuuuure loser

  • Lets your kids go at there and do it there gonna love it 10 min later your kid comes inside screaming cause of the fire ants

  • ahh i proper want that poster behind you where can i get this?? please some message me :D

  • lol, anyone had the balls to go after a fire ant queen?

  • Comment removed

  • thanks alot i found a queen ant but i had to go to the emergency room because too many ant bites once again thank you

  • @woodsta1992

Oh wow what kind of ant was it? id imagine most ants wouldt be able to harm you at all but wow

  • @woodsta1992 where gloves

  • @woodsta1992 where gloves and boots

  • it'ss really hard to capture a queen ant because there's a lot of ants who imitates her which serves as a decoy.

  • your full of shit

  • pmsl

  • Really??

  • it helps if it's extra sunny too

  • @mw4205 zomg i want the world to work like this...

  • @mw4205 trololoolololol

  • one of my lifetime dream is too capture a queen ant and kill it.....not no silly sugar ants, or even fire ants.....i wanna capture wanubi queen ant or bulldog queen ant

  • you shouldnt really take the ants from the wild, becuase if you take the queen becusae then the whole nest are gonna die, just look on the streets for a bigger ant they are queens looking for a new nest just take them.

  • Pest control at its best though.

  • gd thats the only kind we got red fire ants (im alergic to) and smallll blk ants GD! lol

  • can someone tell me how much are u gonna dig to find a queen?

  • i use to make ant farms all the time.and catch spiders.i use to get ants from 2 different holes & they would fight.

    1 was red & 1 was black

  • can you tell me if i should capture black fire ants?

  • Yes they are harmless, [but very bad at climbing]

  • what do black fire ants look like?

  • they are black LMFAO

  • But what does a queen ant look like, say for the carpenter ones? Are they just bigger?

  • yeah the queen ants are bigger

  • The queen ants have a rather large back end, so look for that.
