To be honest, it is not that bad for its time. You actually have the time to drop your aim and run when the licker is throwing itself at you and shoot. Just rinse and repeat.

Survivor does get a few points from me.

-Branching paths

-Good music(theater music was pretty creepy, as was the intro music)

-Playable controls, it wasn't great but it worked.

-You are ALONE, there are kids in the game, but honestly do you feel safe when protected or wandering around with kids? You don't, kids are a pain int he ass.

-Decent graphics, remember Resident Evil up to this point was a 3D game on top of a 2D Background, this game was totally 3D.

Oh man, more proof that many of news new born baby 3D PSX titles have aged horribly. The downside to Survivor are the none- prerendered backgrounds that's for sure! Anyways, hands down the worst RE no doubt. Can't stand Code Veronica either, and RE5 was a cut and paste lame Black Hawn down-ified weak sauce sequal. RE1 for the PSX will always be my fav hehe.

I have this game with the gun. For its time and the idea is a good game. But all the fun is that you are playing with the gun. If you don't have it OF COURSE it will be bad.

I don't see why is bad. You point out of the screen to walk, turn, run, even to turn 180 degrees. You point at the screen and you shoot. The graphics are all in 3D for FPS, they look like the RE2 3D models.

As you don't play Time Crises with a controller, you don't play this without a gun.

I remember playing this game on the PAL/European edition, where you actually had to use the Gun-Con to play and that was your only controller. It worked out okay, but the game is still not that good. And to answer you're question there is no save feature.
