When Byakuya first does bankai and owns renji is always my favorite. Just that feeling you get when your watching the series and first learn what bankai is, then when you hear Byakuya say it for the first time, you get chills down your spine :D

my fav scenes are the first episode when he first becomes a shinigami, when he and kenpqachi fight including his inner fight , when he shows up to rescue rukia, when his inner hollow takes over in the fight vs byakuya,when aizen tells the truth and then leaves to hueco mundo, when his dad shows up as a shinigami too, when ichigo beats yammi, when grimmjow beats ichigo in karakura, when ichigo transform into hollow in the fight with ulquiorra and thats about it

from fourth favourite to most favourite I would go with grimmjow pwning ichigo kickboxing style in karakura, then your number 1, then your number 2, then my favourite would be when ichigo has just finished training with yoruichi in episode 55, has the new gear, can spin some huge badass sword, and pwns 3 vice-captains barehanded

I love the contrast between when he's protecting Nel in the first one and says, 'Stand back, and don't worry; I won't let even a fragment of Reiatsu get past me' and when he's protecting Orihime from Grimjow in the third one and he says, "Use Your Santen Kesshun to protect yourself." in the first one he has absolute confidence, but in the second one he's more practical, as it were.

Interessting choices. You seem to like the confidence vs overconfidence scenes. Some of them ARE pretty good so I truly get that ;)

However my fav's are:

5) Mayuri releases Bankai for the first time and lets it charge at Ishida.

4) Rukia using 2 Kidou on Arroniero Arrurui.

3) Kenpachi grabbing Tousens sword in his Bankai and releasing it again in an attempt to taunt him.

2) Hollow Ichigo comes out during Ichigo vs. Byakuya.

1) Hollow Ichigo vs. Hiyori with all Vaizards helping her out!
