  • @chefed56 Thanks!!!!

  • It's so weird watching this. I'm 43 years old and started drums at 13 yrs old with Neil Peart as my hero. I spent hours in my room day in and day out learning Rush songs. Here I am surfing the net and I stumble on this kid doing the exact same thing, and doing it 1000 times better than I did. WELL DONE!

  • @HammernHeads Thanks A Lot!!!! I Really Appreciate It!!!!

  • Brilliant job! I don't get why someone would "dislike" this video.

  • @FelixGubbins Thanks!!!!

  • awesome cover man...how long did it take for you to learn this ? i am a beginner at drums and feel that i can jam to this..lol...

  • @srprasad Thanks For The Comment!!!! I would say it probably took me about a total of 1 to 2 weeks to learn.

  • yo love the hat i got the same one

  • What Brand of drum do you have???? Ludwig? Tama? Mapex? Gretsch? Sonor? Pearl?

  • @GLStudios100 PDP X7 All Maple Drum Set.

  • Do you have a big felt washer underneath your bottom hi hat? How do you get them to move so much when you play them? I like the way they sound

  • How to play Rush Limelight on drums:

step 1 Be neil Peart, or of possible, This guy.

    Step 2: enjoy magical hands.

  • @boppa1231 Thanks:D

  • @gabrielmw3 Thank You!!!!!

  • @bcam641 Thanks!!!! you to.

  • nice cover dude, well done!

  • @Drummerboy392 Thanks Man, Glade you like it!!!!!

  • what do you think of the a custom hats? looking into them myself

  • @vinchenzo96 I love the 15" A Customs Hats, they are a much deeper tone than say a pair of 13"s, not that there it any thing wrong with 13"s. I would like to get a smaller size. so I can change out for certain types of music. But The 15"s are solid. I use them with the DW 9000 HD hi-hat stand. I would Recommend them!!!

  • well done

  • @2005yzfr1 Thank You!!! I'm glad you liked it. You have some killer videos!!!

  • Great job!!!!

  • @DoubleL595 Thank you!!! I'm glad you liked it.

  • most dope

  • @funkmuffin202 Thanks Dude.

  • That kit...

    Drool.

Only question is, aren't the highest toms awkward to reach back there behind the hi-hats?

  • @Froodulous Yes at first, but then you get hang of them being there. Also thanks for the kit comment!!!

  • hey buddy. very nice cover.

one thing though, take it as bad advice or good, but watch your triplets on ur ride there. kind of crushing them a bit. think about using ur wrist as well as the natural bounce of the stick. try and open them up. lot of warm ups helps me. once you can cleanly do a good paced dbl stroke roll on a pillow move to triplets wont have to so much rely on rebound... just pay attention to technique and youll get it! again, loved the cover! :)

  • @dqrp6435 Thanks for the nice comment!!!!!, Also thanks for the advise on my technique, it is always good to get helpful advice, Thanks.

  • Nice job, buddy!

  • @mrnirvana1000 Thank you so much for the nice comment.

  • pdp x7?

  • jeezzz !!! unbelievable!!! Played this 5 times in a row!!! beautiful! thx man you made my day!!!!

  • @TheonlyWobble Thanks for the supper nice comment!!! Glad I could make your day.

  • Awesome !!

  • @mkwmjd Thanks Man!!!!

  • Nicely done! You are ahead of where I was drumming wise at your age....you have a very good meter. I can't play with headphones on for some reason....drives me nuts! Playing along to music anyway - in the studio it's different! No idea why! Have you learned any rudiments yet? You look a little stiff still.....rudiments will really loosen you up and your fills will get much smoother and more fluid! My only "criticism" is your tightness - otherwise, great job!

  • @hyzeronhisrizer Thanks For the Compliment!!!! Also I am working on all the other things. But they don't happen overnight as you know. But I appreciate the constructive criticism, I can always learn more:)

  • @pmzq0123 Cool! Rudiments are the foundation of drumming - like scales to a pianist/guitarist etc....they opened the doors to my playing big time! I learned the 26 standard rudiments - very helpful for stick control, speed, endurance etc etc Truthfully, I probably only use 5 or 6 of them in my playing, but essential to learn them all! You are doing great...you have natural talent for the drums - keep at it and in a few years you should be damn good! (I keep trying....it's fun!)

  • @hyzeronhisrizer Thanks for the comment again!!!! who would you recommend. It would have to be an online service.

  • @pmzq0123 I will need to get back to you about the online thing. I think the Ludwig Drum Method book is excellent..it has the 26 rudiments on the last page....I used that book - it is great! It was my only "formal drum education!" Self taught otherwise. Check out some Joe Morello videos on youtube - some of the vids have little "lessons" from his Drum Licks video - Joe was a fantastic drummer - a true legend!

  • @hyzeronhisrizer Hey man, thanks a lot i really appreciate the info that you gave me!!!! I will check into those, Thanks.

  • fucking great cover man! Keep up the good work!

  • @MrMcGing Thanks For The Comment!!!! Glad You Liked It!!!!

  • You know someday were gonna loose Neil and Rush.

    DONE A GREAT JOB !

  • @InfoMan65 Thanks for the comment!!!! Neil Peart is my favorite drummer, and I wanted to try and cover one of Rush's songs.

  • This is actually one of the best covers and setups I've seen so far

  • @Sallyboy5 Thanks for the comments!!!! Glad you like it!!!!

  • Great cover man! Just gotta work on those right hand ride patterns. Great video otherwise.

  • @christopherself Thanks for the comment and the constructive criticism!!!! I really appreciate any tips that can be given!!!!

  • this is really good man! brutal tom set up too

  • @minkusink6 Thanks for the comment!!!! I watched some of your videos and they were really cool.

  • Jeremy Just looking at some of the comment, you don't have that far to go, that is quite good. Like what you done with the camera angles

Remember the drummer is always the mad extrovert

    KEEP GOING

    Big thumbs up

  • @besureis Thanks for the comment!!!!!! Glad you like it!!!! This was my first time experimenting with 2 camera angles.

    Thanks Again,

    Jeremy.

  • Nice Jeremy!

  • @dknow6 Dean, thanks for the nice comment.

  • Jeremy,

Very good starting point! You missed a few little intricacies here and there, but at least you didn't ADD anything that didn't fit. Good job. Keep being ambitious.

  • @Pauliewanna Thanks for the comment!!!!! Also, I really appreciate your honesty about how I missed a few intricacies. That helps me improve on my mistakes so that they will not happen next time.

    Thanks Again,

    Jeremy

  • Great stuff!! I almost bought that exact kit too!! Keep up the great work!

  • WOW....I have seen a lot of renditions of this video and I would have to say you are in the top 10. You have come a long way since your first video "Change by Candlebox". Keep up the good work kid....doing a great job!!

  • @Kma8731 Thanks for the positive comment. Yes, I feel that I have come a long way, but i still have a long road ahead of me!!!! Really I'm still at the base of the Mountain.
