I always have uni exams on Saturday. And I don't see what the problem is. Why is Saturday different to any other day during exam period where you have no classes? Every day is the same - studying. Until it's finally over. But in Australia our university year ends in December and doesn't start till about March. So we don't have exams till about June.

If we absorb a lot of things from one type of speech, we'll be more likely to talk with that kind of speech. For instance, most of what I watch is British... so even though I live in Texas and was born/raised here--I use a lot of British terms and inflections.

I'm British too, but I have a different English accent so I pronounce my u's differently, so it's noticeable.
