i bet you were glad to sell it i hated mth rugged rails set i had there n&w j class 611 streamliner set sounded good and the passenger cars were realy nice there was just alot of lack in detal and size of the 611 j class engine i had to sell it and i took that money and added it to my postwar N&W J CLASS #746 SPACE & MILITARY SET LIONEL MADE IN 1959 I LOVE THAT SET

Risking sounding like a commercial - even MTH's basic set locos have Protosound 2.0, Protosmoke, and remote uncoupling - and speed control means no annoying slowing or stalling on curves!

Ya My S-2 Turbine from MTH won't chuff but I still love it :) They do seem to have some bugs that need to be worked out.

I second that, the eninge sounds great, but the paint job is bad (its had a LOT less use than my lionel 2-8-4), is got chips and scraces every, just from normal use. Plus the paintsceme is stupid (I dont know why I bought it, I think MTH puts subliminal messagess in the sound :)

Really. I don't have any, but my grandfathers friend does and he praises MTH products. I have run them and they are great. But to each his own I suppose.
