Maybe the message of SLA was: 'See how it feels to have your daughters raped;taken out of their homes;&turned into something totally different from what you&she had hoped for. This is what war does to children. But they screwed it all up w/the bank-robberies&shootings. Picking up a gun isn't the way to rebel against ppl. w/guns. The violence drowns the voice of the cause. And justifies violence to be used against you. No-Ghandi's way was the best way of resistance.

Makes perfect sense to me but sense is a moveable feast.
Nice middle class rich girl is kidnapped.
She either sees the evils of "the man" or she is brainwashed (depending on whose version you believe).
Anyhoo... she tries to do something to help the World even though what she end up doing is totally misguided.
Either way she comes out smelling like roses and lives off interviews for the rest of her life.

Yes I have a 'Ten Years After' album which has not been played for 30 years. The rich are even richer and the poor are much more poorer. Still being controlled, by social security and dope.

The song is by Ten Years After..."I'd Love to Change the World". Alvin Lee, the guitarist, was considered one of the greats at the time. This was I think the only radio hit they ever had.
