I am experienced enough to stop Voting for the CLOWNS running for Office but they STILL GET voted in, So 420 and the hell with them ALL. I am At PEACE !! Jimi Lives forever !!
I reckon some numpties go through any music/vids indiscriminately and dislike anything...Jimi was indeed far ahead of his time. At the time he blew everyone away! Apart from Hank-Wank Marvin of The Shadows!
Of course smoking weed kills brain cells so does bumping your head and thinking. Of course smoking weed isn't good for you neither is chocolate cake. It can be a wonderful enhancement to life as many things are as long as you don't abuse it.
If thinking kills "your" brain cells then I'd stop smoking crack, okay? I do agree abuse is not good but it is our nature to abuse. Thus I'd think it smart as to not eat, smoke, inject, and or anal insert any drug until consulting my family doctor. Can you guess what she will say?
@TheButtascotchbro1 It doesnt kill your brain cells, and i respect your experience, but from my experience of being a pot head, that 1. ever since i started smoking pot, ive seen the world more clear, and im way happier, and its actually been said to stimulate brain activity, and i can see that, 2. and no it doesnt kill cancer cells and they give it to kemo patiants so they eat, but if it was really THAT bad they wouldnt give it to them at all, I live life to be happy, and smoking weed does that
@LedZeppelin420x just another pothead with a fried head... i feel sorry for you and i know you won't listen but it is scientifically proven that it kills brain cells. But before getting defensive, how clearly do you see facts as reality such as pot killing brain cells.
@wootsilot What i listed are just studies, i wasnt gunna get defensive i could care less. I dont give a fuck what it does, its not bad if you ask me, and i could care less what people think, and just wondering have you ever smoked weed?
@LedZeppelin420x No, not only because I was raised with fear and compassion. My family warned me of the effects at a very early age. So, tell me... are you experienced? Or, did you ignore your parents?
@wootsilot and if you havnt ever smoked weed how can you say i have a fried head? whatever im not gunna sit here and argue with you, cus i dont give a fuck
@wootsilot lmao your just a faggot 7th grader that believes everything your health teacher tells you. you have a computer so why don't you use and actually look up studies on effects weed does to the brain you'd be surprised. weed killing brain cells is a common myth. it is also a myth that weed causes memory loss. the only negative to weed is that if you do it before your 18 it can cause mental illness when your older (such as schizophrenia) which hasn't been exactly proven but there has been
@rickastelyscock12 My comment hit you close to home didn't it? check your channel comment to see my response little girl. Your proud to be in 9th grade aren't you? or did you fail a few grades with your fried head?
@rickastelyscock12 So I am stupid? You are the moron that thinks an 18 year old is in the seventh grade. People like you are not worth my time but I'll make an exception to defend autistic people because they are just that awesome. First off autistic kids have their highs and lows just like all of us, secondly an autistic person can do anything that they want to do. All they need to do is apply their selves. So if anyone who is autistic and is reading this comment, ignore that asshole.
@wootsilot hahahahah your a dumb shit. say what ever you want i dont care. if your 18 then you really do have down syndrome or autism cause the things you say are just straight up stupid. but yet again keep responding cause its really funny and its not offending me at all in fact i think its hilarious how weak minded one can be.
but seriously weed doesnt kill brain cells. i love how every stoner your trying to make an argument with doesnt care what you say because they know your probably autistic
@rickastelyscock12 I support weed legalization and all that, but the active agent in weed destroys lipids (which make up the fats in your brain), so it doesn't destroy brain cells, it "wounds" them in a way, and it takes about 8 months for them to fully recover. I can tell they've had an effect on you just by the way you type.
lsd is proven not to cause brain damage....and these videos turn into drug discussions because this is DRUG music.....no doubt it is, i love these just as much sober too but im not going to deny its drug related music
@BrownMaterial Jim Morrison came to me in a dream.....lol...I'm older in years than I am inside myself. im just a kid and listening to todays music gets me down because most of it...well, sucks to put it lightly. so what do i do when i feel this way?? well, i remind myself i actually have taste for music then i proceed to crank some hendrix and think to myself, FUCK YES IM EXPERIENCED!!
why do all the music videos have to turn into drug discussions? Who cares if some people like to dabble in the world of psychedelics. Just like jimi said "I'm the one that has to die when it's time for me to die, so let me live my life, the way I want to." People need to just chill and enjoy the fine tunes
@WuMindTricks Exactly. Even if you DON'T trip out, this music is gold. It goes deeper than just wanting to sit and listen to music and do drugs. This song for me represents practically everything that I want in my life right now. It represents everywhere that I've been, and everywhere that I want to be.
@PinkFloydForever100 AH no...smoke does not belong in the human body..weed only kills brain cells.and destroys the lining in the lung..and I say this as a health care profesional..weed makes people think their being help..but it's not..
@TheButtascotchbro1 You can bake it into brownies, cookies, etc.. It does the same thing to you, without the damage to your body that smoking it does. It has been proven to help things like fybromyalgia, or pain related diseases. Including constant headaches. But it is not to be abused.
@TheButtascotchbro1 there's other ways to put thc into your body... vaporizers, edibles, pills, tincitures and such i don't get why smoking it is the most popular other then it's how most everyone is introduced to it.. and it doesn't really damage brain cells unless you do it everyday for years and years and ofcourse when you SMOKE it

so are you experinced, once listen to jimi you will be glad that you were, was, and forever will be experinced,so freakin up to the date music, what an artist, rock on brother jimi...............ya left here but wat ya left behind is EPIC,and FOREVER
Oh how I love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! funny thing I was a baby back then lol...but I am such a hippie in spirit without the drugs hehehehehehe ;D
One day last year I was riding my bike to a friend's house and then I stopped at a construction site, and I swear could hear the beginning of this song from the clanging and banging and moving tin corrugated roofs around. It really sounded like I was live at a Hendrix concert. So, 18 seconds in the Sixties. Pretty cool.
You know this was recorded with a 4-track recorder... Eddie Kramer shure knows what he does... No one today could make something this beautiful with even an 8-track today! God rest Jimi's soul and may his music and spirit live forever!!
@poolpig That's correct! But mainly it was recorded only with 4 track recorders. Also because recorders with more tracks was pretty new in the technology back then too!
Obama couldnt handle one of these...his grip is tenuous...as in dog catcher at the most....wonder if he like golf...oh wait 64 rounds of golf since taking office...lolololololl...buFFooN
It's ashame that this music gets overshadowed by all you morons and your petty drug addictions. This song has nothing to do with drugs at all. You aren't any wiser for all your silly drug use. "Not necessarily Stoned, But Beautiful." I think I just heard Buddha slap someone....
There's that tingling I love everybody and everything. Then there's that everything is hysterically funny. Then there's that Acid high where everything around is unreal and ineffable and keeeps getiing higher to the point of madness. i'll just take the first 2 stages thank you; then i'm experienced. Just my preference. Hendrix went past the last one and was good
I have SOOOOOO many LP from that era including 2 of his, but not this one. Albums ( Yes Vinyl) were only 5bucks or less. Needless to say I stocked up since I worked in a music/ Head Shop and got a great discount as well as free concert tickets as well. Ah for the good old days when everyone could afford the music they like on vinyl and Live.. Now a days you have to take out a loan to go to a concert. SAD!! But yes, I am Experienced!!!!!
i first heard this when it came out back then in '67 and just thought it was how you say " the sign of the times". Very shortly after I did some "Hash" and got some idea of the message. i left it at that with the altered experience and discussion. I just didn't pursue it further with heavy stuff. I got the message.
@Reggi3x actually 3 people are major assholes and probably only like lip sinking douchebags such as justin beiber............................ ME ANGRY
LSD (in a moderate dose; or mescaline too) can provide a reinterpretation, a re-knowing, of things that seemed mundane or were taken for granted, so that they seem to be epiphanies about the nature of life and existence. To an extent they are, and the more confined is the mind that takes the trip, the greater (and more hard to encompass) can be the breakthrough they may have. Still, only a few trips at most are really warranted; thereafter listening to Hendrix will do it -
@SupernalOne LSD is chemical. It's a government experiment that went wrong. It may seem fun to trip off of, but it's not healthy. No, I'm not some conservative pig. I support the legalization of many psychedelic drugs including marijuana, mescaline, peyote, and mushrooms; however, that's because they're herbal. Acid was created for the GIs stationed in 'Nam. Their goal was for it to make you aware of your surroundings. It did, but it made you too aware. Herbal psychedelics won't do that.
?? LSD is a derivative of ergot from mold - true, it's been amped up by the additional synthesis -- also, every account I've ever seen says that a German research chemist first sythesized it in the 30's -- I can't see the army ever coming to think that it increased performance; rather, it increases mental interference with straight perception and judgment. I'll certainly agree that it's too electric, and that mescaline is a more pleasant experience. No quarrel intended.
Yes, it was created for numerous reasons, Vietnam being one of them. Unfortunately, that backfired and our men preferred tripping off of it and not fighting instead of fighting at all. Lol. Now, if I had to do acid, it'd be during the '60s because of how fresh and recent it was. Now? I wouldn't dare touch it. See, back then, most of the LSD folks were getting a hold of were batches straight from the lab. Today, you have to cook it, and whomever doing so could be on crystal meth for all we know.
I understand your point but i think mine wasnt made clear. to understand all the shit that goes on in this world you sometimes have to step outside yourself and look at things from a neutral viewpoint instead of through your own beliefs, ideas, and past experiences to get a grasp of what should really be important. hes singin about his look at things through the use of lsd.
Clapton may now be clean but the understanding of things that im talking about doesnt come or leave while doing drugs. I also dont think that musically speaking talent comes through drug use. it may be influenced by it but not inhanced. in this case hes just singing about his experience and asking if someone else is experienced as well.
forgot something look at at guy like Eric Clapton He had a hell of a life Tried almost everything Now he is straight and still creative and one of the better musician of rock and blues and he is still alive and creating
When i first started listening to this song, i thought Jimi was singing about experiencing his unique music, like saying to the big shots like Cream or The Beatles, "Have you ever been experienced with good music? So have I." I wasn't even close. Apparently the song's about LSD. But still Hendrix has unique feedback here and his solo and vocals are beautiful.
This is a clever song. It suggests drug use and at the same time touch's social things that were going on back then. Drug inference was still surreptitious back then in the '60's when used in the media, believe it or not. There were choices back then as to how you dealt with change and awareness. The media chose to show the outrageous (what else is new?) and not 100% of what the '60's were about.
i cant understand why people have to bicker and be mean on these forums. listen to the greatness for crying out loud. smoke a fatty slam some brew and enjoy.
Jimi Hendrix didn't just create masterpieces, but he also showed us how to be different and unique. A true influence to musicians and well, just people everywhere!
but i wanna say the cover for this, his first album...is without a doubt,,the coolest album cover, of a band,,, ever done in the sixties. nothing is even close.
i've been experienced about 124 times in my life. moslty yellow sunshine and some other microdots and some blodders. my first hit was whit lightning double folded{blodder about 1/4th perimeter of a regular blodder}.
And proved it he did. I can't effing believe he was incredible... backwards. That one guitar solo part at 2:24 which pinnacles at 2:32 was pure heart-wrenching Blues ...backwards. A tear... I love you Jimi.

@FastLaneRebels the main trax were 4 and then over dubs
poolpig 5 months ago
@poolpig That's correct! But mainly it was recorded only with 4 track recorders. Also because recorders with more tracks was pretty new in the technology back then too!
FastLaneRebels 5 months ago
@FastLaneRebels great stuff! Madonnas producer did the same with her early stuff! Thats why it did so well simplicity.

SuperGabe55 6 months ago
@SuperGabe55 He did. Almost all of the guitar in this song is reversed, therefore, listening to it backwards is what he actually played.

TheMustangsally75 6 months ago
i first heard this when it came out back then in '67 and just thought it was how you say " the sign of the times". Very shortly after I did some "Hash" and got some idea of the message. i left it at that with the altered experience and discussion. I just didn't pursue it further with heavy stuff. I got the message.

Still, only a few trips at most are really warranted; thereafter listening to Hendrix will do it -
SupernalOne 7 months ago 15
@SupernalOne LSD is chemical. It's a government experiment that went wrong. It may seem fun to trip off of, but it's not healthy. No, I'm not some conservative pig. I support the legalization of many psychedelic drugs including marijuana, mescaline, peyote, and mushrooms; however, that's because they're herbal. Acid was created for the GIs stationed in 'Nam. Their goal was for it to make you aware of your surroundings. It did, but it made you too aware. Herbal psychedelics won't do that.
Transformers2themax 5 months ago
@Transformers2themax
SupernalOne 5 months ago
Yes, it was created for numerous reasons, Vietnam being one of them. Unfortunately, that backfired and our men preferred tripping off of it and not fighting instead of fighting at all. Lol. Now, if I had to do acid, it'd be during the '60s because of how fresh and recent it was. Now? I wouldn't dare touch it. See, back then, most of the LSD folks were getting a hold of were batches straight from the lab. Today, you have to cook it, and whomever doing so could be on crystal meth for all we know.

I understand your point but i think mine wasnt made clear. to understand all the shit that goes on in this world you sometimes have to step outside yourself and look at things from a neutral viewpoint instead of through your own beliefs, ideas, and past experiences to get a grasp of what should really be important. hes singin about his look at things through the use of lsd.
coheedandcambria2009 7 months ago
Clapton may now be clean but the understanding of things that im talking about doesnt come or leave while doing drugs. I also dont think that musically speaking talent comes through drug use. it may be influenced by it but not inhanced. in this case hes just singing about his experience and asking if someone else is experienced as well.
