@Konosame, bullying is when a person or group of people seek out to target an individual and constantly harass them. disrespect is a different thing. you have to be victimizing a person to be bullying them.
@Konosame Yes, because that is not bullying. Bullying is the use of force. Through laws, through gay bashing, through making threats, and that is what the Reverend is saying.
@djtripnosys Are you kidding me? So verbal abuse, taunting people, and disrespecting them by using vulgar language even though the person didn't do anything bad isn't bullying? *Shakes Head* Honestly...
@Konosame No, speaking your opinion is not bullying. Being an asshole is not bullying. If Atheists tried to pass laws against Agnostics, tried to require their beliefs taught in public schools, excluded people from jobs or evicted them, or physically attacked them for being Agnostic, you would have a point. But they don't. So your assertation that it is bullying, is just plain false.
@AudioSketchMusic Saying things you don't like is not bullying, that's just simple logic. It may be "picking on" someone or just plain being an asshole, but it isn't bullying in any true sense. To put it simply, I am all for anti bullying laws, but under your definition, this would mean anti-free speech laws. There's a difference between getting your feelings hurt and physically harmed or threatened with physical force. "You're a fatass", not bullying. "Shut up fatass or I'll sock you" bullying.
@Konosame That being said, while I don't consider it bullying, I do agree, someone who unprovoked taunts and insults simply because of their worldview is a prick, and I would call them on it myself. I would taunt back and take them to task on their obviously fallacious points.
Disagreement, ridicule, and disrespect are NOT bullying, they are protected free speech. It works both ways homes.
I do not agree with "Anyone who converted from atheism to christianity was never an atheist in the first place." This is the No True Scotsman fallacy on our side. If someone does not believe in a god, they are an atheist. This says nothing about why they are an atheist. There are people who do not believe in a god for solely emotional reason. These people could convert to christianity.
@DeadlyRedRing That is a fair statement and i agree with your point however that does also prove their decision is based on ignorance rather than making an informed decision. Choosing to be an Atheist for emotional reasons is the same as choosing to be religious in that it is based on no factual evidence but rather a decision based on random circumstance
Great video. This is exactly why all 220 lbs of 6'2" me preaches on the street against religion. I still get threats and verbal abuse. Not one theist has yet dared take a swing at me though.
I can't wait until religion extremists calm the fuck down. Wanna know why Sweden is the happiest nation on earth 80% atheists who value on being a good person because they choose to, not because some stupid book said so. Long live atheism!
Well said! Whether admitted to or not, Christians employ psychologically manipulative tactics (i.e. - bullying) in the media, advertising, and in a variety of venues public and private. "You're going to Hell" is, in addition to being insulting (as insulting as a made-up belief system can be,) an attempt to "bully" people into the belief, despite its being entirely antithetical to the directives laid out in the Bible. If you have to prey upon the weak-minded, it really says something, doesn't it?

M'kay, is it fair for Atheists to bully Agnostics by calling them "stupid" or "too pussy to be Atheists"?
