Generac Generator XG4000 Power Shortage Problem

@lowspeed the end result was getting a full refund from Generac. I had taken it to local dealer for inspection, they couldn't figure anything out, Generac technicians couldn't figure out why it wouldn't hold the power. One of the dealers' workers there informed me that the generator most likely has a regulator which Generac doesn't inform of to prevent from overloading, so that is why most likely it is stopping after about 3,600 watts. After threats of a false advertising lawsuit, full refund

Does it only do it with those blowers? Try it with 2 heat guns or hair dryers. Judging by that power meter there is a serious electrical problem. Could be something with the blowers, or the gen. If its the gen, exchange it for another one or take it in for warranty work. I have the older model of that 4000XL and that thing is a beast. Ran a pool pump, freezer, fridge, 13.5K BTu A/C and some lights without a hitch. so this should be no problem. try it and check back here.
