Google this series and search for a DVD of it. You'll find that the BBC issued the series briefly in 2006 before pulling it off the shelves due to legal issues. You'll also find that there are a few enterprising folks out there who have made high-quality copies from older media (VHS, Laserdisc), and are selling said copies for a very reasonable price. (I got a full set for $20, and the quality is superb.) This will probably be the only way to get it for some time to come . . .

Somehow this came up as one star from me ... accidentally and I can't seem to change it.

I would actually give it 6 stars; it is one of my favorite programs ever and the series is FAR AND AWAY the best documentary series about silent film that was, is and ever will be.
