Wii humming problem

That is EXACTLY how mine sounds, at first your fine with it cuz it dosent efect anything but then it just gets down right annoying

I just fixed one like this yesterday. It's caused by a little white plastic ring that holds the top of the disc. For some reason it starts to make contact with the metal frame it's in, and a little bend in the right place fixed it.; it's now silent as new. There are guides on the Tube about this.

hi. my wii hums. i need to fix it.. im a mess without the little guy. he hums and hums and then i get the error screen.. if anyone plays quantum of solace they know that leaving a game on wifi drastically effects your score... i cant afford to have to restart my wii every 5 seconds..

our wii makes this sound EVERYtime we put in a disc. Now our games our freezing. My son is trying to play the New Guitar Hero Van Halen and it sounds really loud and has frozen while loading the game. Did you ever find out what causes this or how to fix it?

Mine does the exact same thing. All the *************ing time. Whenever there is a disc inside of it, and the power is on.  Non ****ing stop. What gives?

I had to turn my Wii off to hear this video, and my noise is even the exact same pitch as yours. Ever find a solution?

what did you do? did you get yours fixed? Mine's been making this noise for about a year, I just turn my TVs volume up to mask the noise, any other real solutions?

my wii make this sound very very rare

but when i put a game in my wii, its RANDOMLY vibrate!

it`s not noisie but when i touch it i fell the vibrations!

is this bad for my wii? :(

these sounds is not very rare, it's actually a common problem with the wii, I fixed mine actually and now you can only hear the fan as before ;D

I know exactly how to fix it, but it may cost you if your warranty is expired. The problem is that there was an issue with the hard drive. It was an issue when the drive was made. I had the same pronlem but when i sent my wii in, they told me the problem, fixed it, and gave me an extra year warrenty on that part. I always hated that problem.

Thats weird. My Uncles Gamecube does the same noise. But my Wii sounds fine to this.

mine started doing this last night, what's worse is my warranty expired in february and they want $82.50 to fix it, guess I need to order a screwdriver online and do it myself :p

Gah, my Wii is also broken - it makes the same sounds as in this video. The sad part is that I imported it from Germany when there was a long drawn-out Wii shortage after release (I live in Sweden). Maybe I should send it to Nintendo in Germany? What a pain *cries*

I called nintendo up, and will be shipping my nintendo wii to them shortly for repairs. :D
