They were the best, but they sent their best in exact moment when others were the weakest in the last few years, except Spain(but Calderon was injured). But, of course, thats the American manner, nit just in basketball. I don't want to disrespect their title, but thats the truth. Their attacks were flashy, not slow (between 20-24 seconds like others teams played), they didn't called pick'n roll or pick'n pop. Their defense was man-to-man all the time, and they were pressing their opponents constantly trough whole match. You probably know that teams which play zone defense are poor teams. Now because they won every game with 20 points average margin you blame them for using dopes. Thats ridiculous. NBA is more physical league, thats why they are more explosive then others

I agree, but thats tactics.You can't play against USA if you try to be more explosive and physical. Of course you'll play zone defense. The main goal is to win, not to play beautiful. They won final game by 8, and it could easily be different with another Spanish triple, some turnover etc. Also, I don't blame them for using dopes because of their abilities, I blame them because they refused to do doping test, which is obligation for other athletes. What is the reason to refuse it?
