Can I just say (as a cast member of this performance) the entire spiritual set was our least favorite set that year... Yuck! (leave it up to Doc Darling and his interpretations) As for the choreography... this was revamed choreography from when CI did the same set in the 90's. To be truthful, there isn't much difference. It blew chunks... again.

My high school choir is singing this at our concert on Thursday, and my sister and I are doing the two solos. (We don't like the end, where the choir sings behind us, and we have to improvise. We are, by definition, music readers, not writers)

This absolutely sucks. Everything about it is terrible.  The singing is mushy, the choreography is ridiculous, and the whole thing is absolutely embarrassing. What are the boys supposed to be, African Hogwarts students? This is awful. This pollutes music and destroys what was once a great gospel song.

Now now... it's not that bad. I do have most of the same issues though with it, just not as harsh. lol The choreography is really really sad. The vocals are... well... blah. I also feel that the song is ruined a bit, but I also recognize that music is meant for some different interpretation at times. CI just tried a different interpretation, and failed miserably.

I do enjoy Cami's solo... and seeing Alex Newkirk. lol

You're right. I was too harsh. For that I'm sorry. The cast has great energy, and I applaud them. I still disagree about many aspects of the performance itself, but that is purely subjective opinion, and I highly respect all those who participate. They do look like they're having a lot of fun.

well i think the song was too slow and too jazzed out if you know what i mean. if it was faster paced and the soloists didnt try so hard and just put in more natural talent rather than forced talent it would have been better and the choreography was really bad haha
