The Neptunian system is Awesome! The Uranian and Neptunian systems need to be explored again, but with their own missions, like Cassini. It's been over 20+ years, and that was a flyby of Voyager 2! Triton still has geological activity, but instead has cryovolcanism, not lava volcanism like most worlds do when they're being formed. An orbiter and probe to explore each Ice Giant would be great! We need a probe to land on the surface of Triton. It orbits retrograde, and has liquid nitrogen geysers!
If the great dark spot is like a tornado, what has it touched down upon? Is it really a massive funnel cloud?
Or was it simply a comparison for what the great dark spot is? Is it more like the Great Red Spot on Jupiter, in that its much like a hurricane or cyclone?
an interesting question, need to be answered, but i bleive its as you said more like the great Red Spot of Jupiter raging for almost 300 years, how and why is a complicted job of future Planetary weather forcasters...
Scary yes, but interesting...every planet of the Solar System has its unique interesting & myserious features that witing to be disovered...and thats the whole reason why we need to go there
