  • Why did you make it global? There's seriously no point it just limits you to different names for each enemy. If you take out the "global." then the number of enemies is unlimited.

  • @ThePach3co u see at 1:59 is has set variable to -1 and then under it destroy the instance...well there is already a destroy the instance at the very bottom and all you need is the one at the bottom and then it should work

  • my game maker does not work do not run the game told me something of d3d8.dll download this file and told me some ddraw.dll download it and I get an error PLEASE HELP MEE!!!

    collision_bullet:global.hp -=1

    step_enemy: if global.hp < 1 {instance_destroy()} did I have to waiste 5 min. for that?

  • You can easily shorten this down to 30 secounds.

    Use editing instead of Notepad for one, also get to the point faster.

    Anyways It's extremly simple:

    ENEMY:

    Create: Set Variable (hp = 3)

    Collision w/ Bullet: Set Variable (hp -= 3)

    Step:

    Test Variable (if hp < 1) Start Block ( {) Destroy (instance_destroy()) End Block ( })

  • it works - great! the only bad thing about this is, that this only works for 1 enemy at one time - if you wanna have different enemys different lifes, so you have to do it again with an other variable
