I love the game. It's absolutely perfect in my opinion! I love the many choices of music you can choose among i.e. "The Water's Wide" and "Prayer". I was 12 when I first played this game, and I'm now, I'm currently 15! I completed all of the missions within 96 hours, literally. That's how addicting it became to me, and when I purchase the second one, I know that I will get WAY too obsessed with it and refuse to release the Wii remote!

You can also discover treasure on the ocean floor and follow a storyline. It is quite a good game and I recommend it to anyone, and no, you do not get to kill any fish. Wait for endless ocean 2 for that kind of stuff.

Old school classics on the Virtual Console, WiiWare, Internet Browser, Mii Avatar generator, Nintendo Channel and a lot of great games: they've produced more games than 360 or PS3, around 9,000 and are cheaper. I got Call of Duty WaW on Wii (with online play) for $40 instead of $60! Nintendo rules. Everyone should check out Wii Music!

I think it's a fair comment about this game, since all you do is swim around and the controls aren't revolutionary - graphics are one of, if not the most important feature of this game. Generally I care more about gameplay, and I'll accept bad graphics if it means excellent gameplay, but this game seems to succeed in neither aspect.
As for the "GO PS3", yeah 'datboymark' is a dumbass, but fair comment about the graphics and about wii having a graphically focussed game.
You can swim, find treasures, and interact with fish. I do not believe you can die, but then again, I've never ran out of air. You cannot capture fish but you can hold on to whales to ride with them and make friends with dolphins, and no, you will not get eaten. :-)
Apparantly if you're air runs down you go straight back to the ship. However there is a scene where you get tangled in seaweed of sorts, so I wonder what happens if you run out there?
I know what happens a dolphin comes and saves u then Cathy (a person on the boat) gets really worried cause her Dad died when he got tangled in seaweed
Swim around, pet fish, listen to music... swim even more, pet even more fish. Go online, and swim around with your friend, pet fish together.... get bored together quickly. Then log out and pop in Metroid Prime 3, in order to get your heartbeat up to a normal level again. This game is soooo relaxing, it might cause near death experiences for some users.
One of the best games that you'll probably ever play if you're into underwater scenery, diving, and fish. the atmosphere is very realistic and the Map/Ocean that you swim in is massive. Definitely worth the money.
Do the missions that are available to you at the moment and you should soon be given the correct chemicals to go deeper into the water. You need it to make sure the pressure of the water doesn't kill you.
For the douches that think it's a game about "poking at marine life" and there's absolutely no objective, you are so wrong. You shouldn't bother playing it anyway, I doubt your miniature brains would explode from the lack of blood and gore. But y'know, thirty dollars compared to a lifetime of therapy is a lot less of a hassle. Maybe you should try it out after all. (:
People are so dumb... There ARE objectives. You need to find certain fish and objects to prpgress through the story. The next one who bitches about lack of objectives in this game will get a little piece of metal shot in their head.

i rented this game and its challenging one you enter the great aqua cave and so on......im looking for the sperm whale ive seen it at the abyss......it wont come back......ididnt see a mermaid through out the white caves so i dont think theyre there although i kindof knew they werent there according to the encyclopedia that katherine is writing, i dont see a mermaids shadow in it. im pretty far in the game and it is boring at first but once you get into it its really very cool.

Yeah, I just got the game it's a good buy for $30 (I got it at Fry's) The song does come with it but it get kinda annoying while you're playing (maybe it's just me cause I don't like the sound). You can also upload your own songs to the game via SD card.
Yes, it has sort of an Enya/Clannad/Loreena McKennit type of soundtrack.
I don't actually own it yet, but from all of the gameplay reviews and videos I've seen, this is really nice looking and relaxing, and I bet it looks really good on HDTV.
The only complaints that some people would have are:
1. If you're looking for fast-paced action, this is not it. It's a leisurely experience.
2. You learn about animals by petting them -- um, even great whites. Sorta dumb.
It's peaceful & relaxing type of games, Not all about killing people, monsters out there in the modern world these days. If you a fan of action, Don't buy it. Common sense could tell you this as well, Yeah? I mostly love all games like RPGs and ALOT of more, Even this type of game style. If it's not your favorite style, Just walk away from the video. Actually I'm a hardcore gamer (fast paced fps like counter-strike and bf2, and RPG's/mmorpg's) and i absolutely love this game. I'm addicted to it like a WoW player is addicted to WoW. It's just the simple task of do whatever you want, get new gear, get emails about tour guide jobs you have to do, etc. It's an amazing looking game and is very relaxing. The only bad graphics I see in this game is the crappy character model for that girl that mopes around on your ship. The shading is awesome.
Of course, a game about attending animals where there is no killing at all, is gay. And anyone he considers buying this, or that it is any good must of course, be gay aswell.
Not sarcatically though it does look a litte to calm, and the music is very very gay indeed.

Yeah i have endless ocean, it's an amazingly fun game (and i'm a hardcore action gamer) and was so addicting i ran out of wiimote power twice (and that's hard to do).
Btw, it looks AMAZING! There is amazing shading done on the boat and even more underwater. Only bad gfx in the game is the character model for this girl on your boat that wears crappy jean shorts. Oh and the animations for the seadoo are disgustingly reminiscent of a low budget playstation one game.

The woman on the boat gives you places to go, and once you find the Ancient Mother you see the credits so it's like a really short beating the game, but it's also just for looking at fish.

I do not respect Wii as a console and hold this only for few partys with casuals per year but I have to admit that this game is really good.
Mystic underwater world, calm peaceful gameplay with totally relaxing music. One of the best possible mixes after hard day of working/studying.

Why buy a game like this when you can just start a fund to save up for the trip where you can ACTUALLY swim with Puffer fish and Sea turtles.

I really like this game :]
at first I thought: gawd this must be such a boring game...
but the game is so relaxing, and I simply love the soundtracs, they remind me a little of Enya's songs :D

i rented this game and its challenging one you enter the great aqua cave and so on......im looking for the sperm whale ive seen it at the abyss......it wont come back......ididnt see a mermaid through out the white caves so i dont think theyre there although i kindof knew they werent there according to the encyclopedia that katherine is writing, i dont see a mermaids shadow in it. im pretty far in the game and it is boring at first but once you get into it its really very cool.

Yeah, I just got the game it's a good buy for $30 (I got it at Fry's) The song does come with it but it get kinda annoying while you're playing (maybe it's just me cause I don't like the sound). You can also upload your own songs to the game via SD card.

Yes, it has sort of an Enya/Clannad/Loreena McKennit type of soundtrack.
I don't actually own it yet, but from all of the gameplay reviews and videos I've seen, this is really nice looking and relaxing, and I bet it looks really good on HDTV.
The only complaints that some people would have are:
1. If you're looking for fast-paced action, this is not it. It's a leisurely experience.
2. You learn about animals by petting them -- um, even great whites. Sorta dumb.
Still, a nice unique game.

It's peaceful & relaxing type of games, Not all about killing people, monsters out there in the modern world these days. If you a fan of action, Don't buy it. Common sense could tell you this as well, Yeah? I mostly love all games like RPGs and ALOT of more, Even this type of game style. If it's not your favorite style, Just walk away from the video. Actually I'm a hardcore gamer (fast paced fps like counter-strike and bf2, and RPG's/mmorpg's) and i absolutely love this game. I'm addicted to it like a WoW player is addicted to WoW. It's just the simple task of do whatever you want, get new gear, get emails about tour guide jobs you have to do, etc. It's an amazing looking game and is very relaxing. The only bad graphics I see in this game is the crappy character model for that girl that mopes around on your ship. The shading is awesome.

Of course, a game about attending animals where there is no killing at all, is gay. And anyone he considers buying this, or that it is any good must of course, be gay aswell.
Not sarcatically though it does look a litte to calm, and the music is very very gay indeed.

Yeah i have endless ocean, it's an amazingly fun game (and i'm a hardcore action gamer) and was so addicting i ran out of wiimote power twice (and that's hard to do).
Btw, it looks AMAZING! There is amazing shading done on the boat and even more underwater. Only bad gfx in the game is the character model for this girl on your boat that wears crappy jean shorts. Oh and the animations for the seadoo are disgustingly reminiscent of a low budget playstation one game.

Wow, I'm gonna make some money soon, and I was thinking about buying that game, but I changed my mind when I saw a video of Spider-Man 3, but my mind changed again, and now I'm gonna get this game, but if I get enough money, I'm gonna buy Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess (AKA LOZ: TP). I'm pretty much looking for Wii games, I just got a Wii and the only games I have are Wii Play and Wii Sports.

can someone explain to me the purpose of the game. i love animals especially sea creatures, but whats the point of the game. Is there like a mission you go to?

The woman on the boat gives you places to go, and once you find the Ancient Mother you see the credits so it's like a really short beating the game, but it's also just for looking at fish.
