Loved watching this show - through all its ups and downs, its laughter and tears. I think the ending was meant to set up a sequel that the producers intended - but never got around to - making. Even so, this was an awesome drama all and all. Is it sad that I still ship Wu Zun and Ella after all these years? xD

This ending wasn't what I expected. A lot of problems are still unsolved.

1) What happens to Julia and Jiro? I thought they would meet and get together or something.

2) What about Yang Yang and Senor Nan? I thought they would get together. LOL, seriously.

3) Why didn't Rui Xi and Quan kiss? So the only time they kissed was when Quan was drunk? Can't they have an actual kiss?

4) What about the gay doc? I thought he'd have an ending also.

This Taiwanese version seems almost like an entirely different film. It's less surreal. There's a lot more of the main pairing and the high jumping becomes almost peripheral.

I understand that there was supposed to be a second season. No surprise there because the ending fell along the lines of a TO BE CONTINUED

Knowing all that I'm still annoyed that the all pervasive secret was not revealed.

A good series nonetheless... This school actually looked like a real school.

Oh man, the Japanese ending is waaay better! I honestly like this drama but I even cried at the ending of the Japanese drama...It was so touching. Also he WAS going to be in the TW version of "Absolute Boyfriend" (based on the manga-also a JP drama) but dropped out cause of busy schedule. Now Jiro is going to be in this one. Jiro will be playing the main guy Chen Nai Te(Tenjo night in Manga and JP drama). Koo Hye Sun aka. Jan Di from BBF Fame will be the main girl Lu Xiao Fei (Izawa Riiko-Jp Drama and manga) and from ENERGY Kun Da as Qian (Asamoto Sarhi). It is SAD :(

I like the taiwan version better. both versions are really good, but i think the reasons this version is better are because 1) wu chun is hotter than the other guy 2) the two leads actually had more chemistry and 3) they also had a closer and more playful relationship onscreen. the only thing i was disappointed in in this one was the ending.

Honestly, I've watched this show for more than 10 times now. I admit that I was quite disappointed when I saw the ending for the first time; but the spirit / essence of the team-up of Ella Chen (Rui Xi) and Wu Zun (Quan) remained with me. I like the manga ending, idk if I'll watch the japanese version, it's too different from the manga. I really enjoyed this version.

i like it how this drama stay true (well mostly) to the original story unlike the japanese drama but i never expected the ending like this. well at least there is no tears at the end.
