Jack - Do you have fishers there? They are known to sound like a baby crying or screaming making a horrific noise that really freaks people out. They are in my area in Bennington and are being driven out of the woods by more and more construction taking their homes.
@GeoCubedTV Could be. It makes sense. I had not heard of this animal until now. There has been some new construction near by this wooded area here. You are right it is a horrible noise.
Hey that's really weird..........just two days ago, I was at an old churchyard with old graves dating back to 1200................there is an old well with large stones just like your little chamber there!! People used to make pilgrimages to it dating back to 13th century. The more you see the less you understand.......................we're all too cosied up in our little towns, we forget how spooky nature can be!!LOL I know I live in the middle of no where,
We are sort of on the northern edge of the NYC metro area (NYC is 55 miles south) and can't say we are in the middle of no where. Although some New Yorkers may think that. One of the related vids (Philip Imbrogno) has a short talk on stone chambers in the area. This one may not have the same history as it is very small. The Indians that used to live here said the stone chambers were built by red headed strangers. I wonder who built this one.
Well, that will teach you not to go outside, again. lol. I find the bathroom not to be the safest place 'inside' either despite what the experts will say. I think I have a bear living in mine, but that doesnt hold a candle to this "moaning sound" thing your chasing after. Hmm, sounds like a night at the local pub to me....

you and Mark E Smith and the magic mushroom style effects and the INTRIGUE....lol...only you know how to mash it up right. It's ART darlink
the last paragraph in your sidebar also might suggest intraterrestial neanderthaler troglydytes so watch your back, Jack!

The thought did occur to me some of these local anomalies might have a connection to the intraterrestial neanderthaler troglydytes. lol
Since the stone structure here is in the path of excess water drainage I wonder if some of it lies submerged by years of sediment built up.
