as for neoliberalism, what do you think thatcher/ major/ blair did? neoliberalism = unrestricted markets, which means barely any financial regulation. neoliberalism offered the boom & bust which caused the last ruddy recession, and it was keynesian policy was what got us back into growth and stopped the banks collapsing.

True neo-libralism says that no bank is to big to fall, of course bankers are going to play loose and fast with their money if they know they will be bailed out. If you want to see an example of how to do it look at hong kong, no minum wage, 15% income tax and no corperate tax. Yet they remain unaffected by this 'global' reccesion.
